Husband and I made reservations Saturday (9/30) for date night. We arrived early, but we're sat right away. Our server was very friendly, but they definitely were understandstaffed (she mentioned herself earlier). We had to wait a bit between dinner and dessert. I enjoyed the sangria, it was huge. The food was REALLY good. Very homey and comforting. My husband had the veal special and I had the confit chicken. For desserts, we enjoyed tiramisu and creme brulee. It was a quiet and quaint dinner. We enjoyed ourselves.
This is such a nice place. The food is great, the service is friendly and welcoming and the space is very comfortable. The food is always very delicious and well done. Attention is paid to seasonality and local produce but fan favorites are always on the menu. Our server was very attentive even though we were one of the last tables to leave. The space has the capacity to be very cozy. It has a couple of fire places and quiet corners. Add a little soft music and dim the lights, perfect for date night!
We had a great experience here! We had a reservation cancelled last minute at a local winery and West End made special accommodations last minute for our group of 11. The waitress Charlotte was incredible and very attentive. We were all upset about our cancelled reservation, but ended up being a blessing to find this gem. Thank you for taking us last minute and making our evening! Will recommend to everyone!
We absolutely love this place and it is our go to spot in Purcellville.
The food is always fantastic, the quality of the ingredients and flavor never disappoints here. I have found that this place is heaven for those of us that love our side dishes. I’m currently on a confit fingerling potatoes kick. My wife and I both subbed them in for our entrees tonight and they have to be the best potato side dish I have ever had. They also have a great wine and beer selection to pair with whatever you decide.
For the entrees, I tend to bounce between the steaks, the nightly specials, and the burger. The tri-tip sirloin always seems to hit the spot for me. Anytime I’m between entrees, the tri-tip is a finalist for a reason.
My wife typically bounces between the salads and the Confit Chicken. It’s an awesome half roasted chicken, and it’s usually good for me the next day since she can’t seem to ever finish it.
For the dessert, do yourself a favor and get the double Chocolate Pot du Crème.
As for the service here, we’ve dined in the main dining area and the pub, and can say one thing, it’s always been consistent for us. Great service, great food, and great experience every time for us.
Fantastic! We happened upon it by chance and are so glad we did!!! We called ahead to see if there was a wait time and he indicated there was not. Great!! We’ll be there within 10 minutes… he had our table set and ready for us! The food was outstanding! Service was great!! Highly recommend!!
What a wonderful, charming establishment!! A group of us were staying in an Air BnB nearby and were looking for a restaurant that could accommodate us. Hostess, Grace and server, Charlotte couldn’t be more hospitable and attentive. The food was delicious and drink selections expansive.
The building is a quaint old home that has been wonderfully transformed into a great little restaurant. The service was pleasant, friendly, without being overbearing. We had the traditional breakfast and chicken and waffles. The eggs were perfect, the bacon crisp, the sourdough toast had just enough butter and the potato wedges were very well done. The waffles were sweet and fluffy, the chicken, lightly battered and tastefully offset with the maple sicracha syrup. The greens on the side were an unexpected side dish, that provided a great complimentary flavor to a very satisfying brunch.
Quiet, intimate seating. The back windows look out upon a clean cut golf course with gorgeous inside décor. Food was delicious and fairly priced for the portions. They also serve various seasonal dishes with locally grown food and maintain a pleasant selection of wine.
We love this place! Just had a very special birthday party there and we were able to sample quite a few items on the menu. Everything was excellent, the service was fantastic, and we brought in a cake that they plated for us. It is a lovely atmosphere and a gem of a place - highly recommend this!
West End is a really cute place.. downstairs is a cozy pub with tables, comfy chairs and sofas and live music some evenings. Upstairs is an upscale restaurant, also with a nice bar. They have a large patio overlooking a golf course and when its warm, the live music is there on the patio.
They serve a wide variety of comfort foods.. with a frequently changing menu, brunch, lunch and dinner. My husband is a big fan of their food, its less my style tho i enjoy the setting, environment & music.
