Another local restaurant that I failed to try until after I had lived in the area for over three years and I could kick myself for it!
I decided to stop in one day for lunch since so many locals rave about the place on our local social media groups. It’s a small deli inside, you get the feeling you have stepped into a small family deli/restaurant in Queens. In fact, to access their public restrooms you have to walk through a section of the kitchen. But the staff were welcoming and friendly.
I ordered the Famous Italian. It was so good! The meat, you could tell, was fresh sliced. And the bread! Oh my goodness, the bread is what dreams of paninis are made of! Slight crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I can’t wait to try more of their paninis! One small complaint is that the sandwich was supposed to have vinaigrette on it… and either mine didn’t or it was so light that I couldn’t taste it. So next time I’ll ask for extra. The sandwich came with a side of chips and it was a quick and easy lunch without all the extra fuss.
I would recommend this place if you like deli sandwiches or gyros (I’ve been told they’re the best!) or just want a simple, low key lunch.
I’ll definitely be taking my husband back so he can try the gyro!
It is a cute place with counter service, tho allowed us to enjoy our food & pay at the end. Owners are really friendly. Gyros were good.. freshly baked pitas, loaded with meat & really good yogurt sauce. Menu is surprisingly extensive given the quaint size of the place. They have ice cream, baklava, root beer & coke floats, tho we didn't try them.
This was my first visit. Be advised all sandwiches are Subs. We had a Reuben and an Italian. We also took home desserts. The subs are generous with the meat. Some may find the subs can be a two meal deal. Would return to check other menus items next time in Purcellville.
Grab a gyro or souvlaki with a Mythos. You won't be disappointed.
We stopped in here just on a whim as we needed lunch on a long drive. A nice family owned spot with quick counter arrive we both got gyros and there was a couple of outside tables in the shade (there is also a good amount of cafe tables inside). A great experience I'd definitely go back.
Absolutely had a great late lunch/early dinner! The Best in this area when it comes to deli style options and more.
Family met here yesterday for lunch. Three of us had King Gyro which was excellent, almost too much meat. One had Greek salad with tuna but tuna was without a dressing so rather plain. This is our second time is 6 months and both times we were pleased.
We were in the area and saw positive feedback and had a hankering for good gyros. This place certainly delivered... friendly family staff, delicious gyro meat and fresh pitas - plus a generous serving of baklava. We will certainly return the next time we are in the area!
Very authentic and tasty. The white pizza was a specialty and delicious.
Online order ready in 5 mins, faster than any chain place, added a sandwich on arrival with quick service and super friendly. Great music and even ice cream!
I love everything about this small business! The vibe is immaculate u can sit outside or inside w good music and of course deliciouss, flavorful food. The owner is kind, fast and detailed. 10/10 highly recommend
We asked for recommendations while visiting in Purcellville and My Deli & Café | Greek Bistro was at the top of everyone's list. We had it delivered, which worked perfectly for our working meeting. We ordered salads and sandwiches. The food was devoured, or I would add a picture. My gyro was delicious, particularly the freshness of the pita.
I had a pastrami sandwich(hot) it was good but could’ve been better. My suggestion is to have the pastrami sliced a lot thinner and not as thick as it was. The bread was nice and hot but the meat was freezing cold.
It was an ok sandwich but could’ve been a lot better, just my humble suggestion.
I would go back thou. It’s definitely not a deal breaker and who knows.
If they read reviews people leave it could change things
The food was good, but it wasn’t what we ordered. Got takeout and the woman on the phone had a hard time understanding me because of her accent. There was only one bag on the take-out counter and they said to take that. It was somebody else’s dinner unfortunately.
After I posted this review, the owner contacted me and apologized for the mixup. He offered to treat us next time which is nice of him.
Highly recommend! Picked up takeout today for lunch and the food was really really good! My partner and I were very impressed. Great prices and sizable portions. Definitely coming back again when I’m back in town!
We stopped in this very nice welcoming Cafe yesterday. I took the proprietor's recommendation for Gyro on pita bread and was very pleased with it. My wife had the roast beef and said it was the best she's ever ate. Nice cozy atmosphere..
Fantastic Gyros. Really friendly people. Location with easy parking. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
The Gyro is wonderful! The meat is perfect, the sauce is hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. Very nice guy that helped me with my order too.
