We had Gruto’s Soft Serve catered at our wedding via their new food truck! It was by far the best experience I have had with them. The owner was very responsive to questions and accommodating to various flavor and topping requests. They were open at our venue for just over one hour. Guests were able to come and go as they pleased. The two workers were amazing - Courtney and Sydney! They were very bubbly and kind to all of our guests. We LOVED having the new truck at our event and hope to see them at future events in the area! We highly recommend using Gruto’s Soft Serve’s Ice Cream Truck at your next event!
Excellent place to grab some ice cream after a long bike ride. The inside of the ice cream place is small, however, there are plenty of places to sit outside along the sidewalk. There is even a picnic table a few yards to your left as you exit. I decided to get the orange Creamsicle milkshake. It was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return again when we ride our bikes in the near future.
We got the mango and peanut butter smoothies. They're amazing!! Also love all the funny decors in the shop.
Delicious softserve! Chocolate in a waffle cone is so good! The pup cup was devoured by our dog. Two huge dog biscuits and vanilla in a cup. ❤️Cute! We'll definitely be back to the Purcellville location!
We love the mom and pop feel of this ice cream shop in the heart of downtown Purcellville. The staff are friendly and always greet us with big smiles. The soft serve is delicious and they have a variety of toppings and choices on the menu from cups and cones to shakes and sundaes.
When I walked in there was no one at the counter. Took all the money out of the drawer and booked it. 10/10 experience
It's my family's favorite place to get a treat--the ice cream is absolutely delicious (my favorite is the Reese's Sundae with chocolate and vanilla twist) and the people who own it are really nice. It's also fun to eat it outside the store, sitting in the sunshine, while the locals drive by--it's the best place to be "seen"! It gives Purcellville such a small town feel--I highly recommend it!
This place is a gem. The servers work so hard to get the orders out timely and with creativity.
I absolutely love Grutos. Their soft serve is affordable and delicious, and the staff there are always really friendly. Portion sizes are also usually pretty good, with a kids'-size cone sometimes being much more than I would expect (this can depend on who is working, though)!

It’s hard not to be in love with this spot. My littles can’t pass the shop without pining for the soft serve goodness. Soft serve is so nostalgic to me and this little shop takes me right back to my childhood...only Grutos has way more flavors And sweet treats! I follow them on Instagram to get the latest, you should too! Great people and great ice cream is a home run in our house!
Absolutely love Gruto’s! Best ice cream in the county! Super friendly staff and owned by a wonderful family. My kids and I love visiting and hearing “See you tomorrow!” 😊

Great spot with a friendly staff and very professional management, especially for a small business. Impressed at their fast efforts to come back into normal business at the pandemic continues to unfold. I don’t go to Purcellville often but when i do my family loves to stop here.
