Hullo, and thank you for reading this review. My wife is very very picky about her "Chinese" food, and I have been sent from restaurant to restaurant trying to find a replacement for our previous favorite place( we moved an hour away from it, and I was occasionally sent there *anyway* because the food was that good and nothing close by was anywhere near as good).This was the first place that met with her approval. FINALLY I don't have to travel so far out of my way for our occasional Chinese dinner treat! The storefront does look pretty shabby, but it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is: a quick "diner" style Chinese joint. You don't go to places to stare at pretty walls if the food stinks! Are you people daft? You pay for that decoration in the meal prices! You pay for the convenient location rent!The food here is AWESOME! It rivals some of the best holes-in-the-wall places in the cities! Who cares what the tables look like? Stop being such prissy Loudoun County snobs and eat good food! Eat Here!Y'all a buncha spoiled brats.
Hot Wok is the best; try it yourself. I have tried Pen's and Lucky China after moved into Purcellville from Fairfax and was really disappointed. I thought there won't be a good Chinese restaurant in this town until I tried Hot Wok. I think Hot Wok has the best Chinese food in town.
Better now that there's new mgmt. You get some awesome deals at lunch....and now that there's new management, it's a little more consistent...
I had chicken with black bean sauce, which was just spicy enough. Many other Chinese restaurants show that this same dish is spicy but never is. They also accommodated my friend by serving steamed Tofu with mixed vegetables with sauce on the side, not on the meal. It has small dine-in area, which is fine, but I more often get carryout.
Delicious Chinese food and a mainstay go-to for take out. We love the General Tso's, Crispy Fried Beef and Egg Foo Young.
This is my absolute FAVORITE Chinese restaurant.
I always use hot and sour soup as a metric for what makes a good Chinese restaurant. This is absolutely the best hot and sour soup there is! I have never had a bad meal here.
I am a loyal customer, and have been for more than 15 years.
Please stop in and give this place a try. You will not regret it!

Authentic fried rice and fried rice noodles.
I ordered myself fried rice noodles with egg and bean sprouts, for my hubby fried rice with roast pork, shrimp, egg, bean sprouts, and egg rolls, plus chicken corn soup. They all taste yummy (I’m not a big fan of rolls though). The specially cooked fried rice is our favorite, tasting very authentic.

Hot Wok food is freshly cooked, very tasty and well presented. The owners/employees were really friendly, attentive and service overall was excellent. I seen them freshly preparing my food as the kitchen is visible rather than already have it half cooked like most of these other takeaways. I would highly recommend anyone reading this to go and experience some proper Chinese food hands down!
This is a great carry out place. Quick service and excellent food. I always enjoy their sesame chicken and crab Rangoon! 😋

A real throwback
They're food is amazing.. prob the best Chinese carryout place I've had. We've been eating here since we moved here. I haven't had any issues so far. Delivery is quick, prices are reasonable, food is always delicious and fresh.
Delivery time made us hesitant, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Great food/portions/price. will be ordering from their again!
Perfect place for takeout. Good food, fast service and reasonably priced. Definitely will go back. The spring rolls and the shrimp dish were delicious!
Very consistent Chinese food. Quick from order to ready - only ever ordered take-out. I've had mosr of the chef's specials and they are all pretty good. Very nice staff.

I’ve been coming here off and on for about 3 years. I’m the past 3 years, I’ve had a couple situations of less than perfect customer service and inaccurate food orders, but they have done a pretty good job fixing those issues. The food is always consistently delicious and is really the only important thing to me. 🔥
