My family and I visited White Palace Restaurant last night and absolutely loved it. We ordered the Tex-Mex burger, White Palace burger, kid's chicken nuggets and sopapillas, and everything was cooked perfectly. The burgers were some of the best we've had in a while. Additionally, the service provided by the owner's family was excellent!
Our experience was better than others mentioned here. I would have rated a bit higher but the food temp could have been hotter. If you like Chile relleno this place bakes instead of fried which is my preference. Only place in DC area that offered CR this way was an excellent Mexican place long gone in Georgetown. Wife enjoyed a chicken enchiladas. Wait staff were pleasant just wished food got to us before it got cold.

After visiting the Distillery across the street and taking the tour, we decided to try this place for a late lunch. We have not been in this area of Virginia much and the expectation of what would be on the menu was far from the South of the Texas border fare this fine restaurant offers.
The flavors of the spicy tabasco coated chicken breast on home made toasted bread might not be for every one, but they definitely hit the spot for me. And having the vegetable toppings served on the side was a good request because the delightful flavors of the light, vinegary dressing on the mixture of avocado, lettuce, tomato, onions were a satisfying treat all their own.
I live in Virginia and work in Bethesda. This offers me much opportunity to sample a wide range of menu selections from a fine selection of restaurants and cuisines. This lunch at the White Palace was as satisfying for me as any I have found in any place I have patronized in the last 14 years, including places in Virginia, Maryland and Texas.
The cocktails are well made and producers of fine memories of past times and favored places.

I just loved it!. Memories of real food from my 5 years in San Antonio, but with a twist--I asked where the cook was from. Answer: El Salvador. My reaction: Well, she sure can cook! My tortilla soup was perfect--and perfectly authentic. If you are used to chain restaurant food, it might not be what you expect. It's better. We were there at a slow time, but had no complaints about service time or style. Taking our son and his lovely visiting girlfriend there for dinner tonight. I don not understand the negative reviews.
Little town restaurant!. I like the menu, a lot of different dishes. Always have great specials, and great deserts. The number one choice for my kids when it's time for lunch. The service can be a little slow (even for the carry out) but always with a smile. The food is good for what you pay for, It is not my top rated but I like to go there once in a while.
They had breakfast avaiable at 1pm on a Sunday for me. Even tho it was too late to have one of their famous homemade waffles, the pancakes were vey good. The whole breakfast was good and they have really good coffee. Nice country feel and they have good service. First went to purcellville family restaurant butt they were closed.
Fantastic food, casual atmosphere, fresh ingredients, friendly service, prompt service, clean appearance. Fantastic presentation of food. Dessert was great!
This isn't taco bell, so don't expect over salted budget processed meat in 2min or less... like some of those who reviewed. What you can expect is a friendly, family owned authentic Mexican restaurant that serves fresh foods... and the best margarita we've ever had! Three adult meals, an appetizer and two top shelf margaritas for $75... I don't call that overpriced.
Visited today and I had the black bean soup and my husband had hominy chicken soup. We shared an avocado salad we thought the food was superb, very fresh tasty and the salad was beautifully presented. The cost was reasonable. Service was friendly. We will definitely be back.
This is a slice of real Mexican culture. The owner "Jose" is a very kind man who cooks and provides the service for the family run restaurant. It is completed in a timely fashion and he talks to you as a customer and a friend. When you first taste his food, the flavors that come out of this man's cooking really leave a powerful impact on your taste buds and show how authentic his cooking is. If you want Mexican food; you should choose Jose, because it's about the flavor not the decor.
Ordered the Empanada appetizer as my lunch along with chips & cRaZy good guacamole-- Both were incredible!! Made for a perfect lunch! Ended up spending another hour at the table after lunch while wrapping up some work. Along with the check, Jose brought out a slice of homemade NY cheese cake (which I was not about to turn down). All great!!
Looking forward to coming back for dinner next time I am in the area.
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to, including ones in Arizona and New Mexico. Never would have expected Purcellville to have such a place! Their tamales and shrimp fajitas are amazing! The chips are made fresh.
Wonderfully authentic. This place doesn't serve TexMex, so don't judge it based on what you've eaten in Texas. The owner's son was very attentive as he waited on our table. Can't wait to get back there.
Wonderful service, outstanding fried yuca con chicharron (you have to try it - slaw is fresh, chicharron is cooked perfectly). I had lomo saltado and it was cooked as well as the yuca. I look forward to coming back and trying the fajitas.

Authentic Mexican food. They have a good selection of items suitable for our vegetarian guests. Great margaritas. Always served with a smile.
Love this place! So fun to watch soccer here. Excellent cocktails and food - empanadas and enchiladas are awesome. José treats you like family.
