We need our burger fix every time we go to Rockaway! Burgers, hotdogs, fries, ice cream, and drinks are fantastic! Try the Hardbody, aka double cheeseburger! You won't be disappointed!
Hands down one of the best hamburgers in town! Patty is juicy and fresh out of the grill. I recommend ordering one fries for the table because the portion is huge!
Bit pricey but good stuff. Like others said they could go cheap because they're in such a good location but you can tell they put in a lot of effort.
Rippers was so good! I love the way they season their fries and the burgers were fire. They have a great veggie burger that I recommend. Also don’t sleep on the cinnamon saucer, it’s out of this world. I had never heard of cinnamon ice cream before but it really hit the spot. Will be coming back to
There's only one other place to get food that's directly on the boardwalk, so this place is really popular. It could easily be mediocre and people would still come for its convenience, but the burgers are genuinely delicious. I didn't have the fries but the others in my group really enjoyed them and
I loved the burger at rippers! It was just perfect, and they do not skimp on the fries. The staff was friendly, there is plenty of seating and they have regular performances and bands that create a fun atmosphere.
Pretty much the only good place on the board walk so definitely worth a stop, but you’ll also pay $8-9 for a burger. We went here early enough to avoid the line (around noon) and saw how long it was later in the afternoon around 3pm. Overall the vibe is great!
Rippers is exactly what a beach bar should be. Open air, a decent selection of (non-price-gouged) crispy boys and IPAs, a ridiculously good cheeseburger and fries, and live music to nod your head and move your body to.
They have vegan burgers and their fries are crispy and tasty! I’d give vegan burgers 6/10 though, too salty for my taste. Burgers are on potato rolls/buns. Friendly and fast service. Ideal location.
Good 🍔🍔🍔🍔get the ripper single if you want flavor ,if your more of a meat connoisseur get the hard body💪🏽 also cheese fries is a must 👌🏽the sangria not too bad for a frozen drink oh!lol they also javelin a DJ sometimes. lol
The burger is so good!! Fries are plentiful and well seasoned, and the DJ just made everything better with all of the good hip hop classics they were playing!
Rippers could easily sell frozen microwaved chicken nuggets and people would still buy them because they’re in the BEST location… but they don’t do that. They strive for simple cheeseburger perfection. The fries are perfect. The slushies hit the spot. The cult following behind Rippers is warranted,

Amazing place! Service is great, staff are nice and very good options for kids and adults. And the food was fresh and tasty!! One of the best places on the Rockaway Boardwalk.
It's such a cool vibe. Sometimes, you find a DJ or just music playing. It's right on the boardwalk, so there are awesome views of the beach. There is a bathroom close by. They serve beer, beach juice, smoothies, burgers, hotdogs, and fries.
Great little beach front find.
Good prices and amazing veggie burger made in-house using actual ingredients (quinoa, beans and veggies)
Also recommend the frozen sangria!
Very cool place on the beach. The menu is simple and the food is great. The ripper burger was as good as it gets and the fries are perfect beach fries.
Love Rippers! The burger was great. They like to undercook the patty, so the middle was raw. But it was awesome.
