HEALTH & TASTE LOVERS GO HERE
I would go back for the energy alone, but the food???? This is going to be my new go to spot & the place I bring anyone who's in town. Everything is made from scratch and they know all the ingredients!! I have crazy dietary restrictions (corn & gluten) and I could eat almost everything. Alysa just absolutely made my day as well. Her energy is amazing. 10/10 new loyal customer.

Both of our garbage pile sandwiches were unsatisfactory.
We’ve had these sandwiches before and loved them but today was such a disappointment. This must have been a new cook or one who’s tired and just stopped caring about the product they send out the door.
Regardless these never should have left the restaurant like this. Whoever packed them saw them and chose to leave them that way, this would have been a simple enough fix to change the croissant before sending this product out but whoever made this just didn’t care.
It also had soggy undercooked hash browns.
This is a $16 Sandwich.
We expect a better quality breakfast coming from blue bear and whoever made this needs to know .

Amazing! The staff works efficiently to ensure you have everything you need, most of the time before you think to ask for it. The food. Was. Amazing. Absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area :)))

I took my partner, mother & grandmother to Blue Bear for Mother's Day brunch. Firstly, the food is delicious..which is why this small restaurant was PACKED. Secondly, the hostess & servers, despite the immense number & continuous seating of customers, were amazing & timely. Thirdly, the detailed menu with several vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, & keto options was innovative but approachable to my mom who is an unreasonably picky eater. I loved the atmosphere & the cocktails looked amazing (even though none of us were drinking at 2 pm). My partner (vegan) & I (vegetarian) will definitely be back to check out their dinner menu for date night soon. Highly recommend!

Immediately posting a review because I loved this place so much. I’m from all over the Chicago suburbs and was worried I would have a hard time finding a good restaurant with vegan options in Wisconsin but Blue Bear delivered! I love that they have a wide array of vegetarian and vegan modifications that can be made on their dishes in addition to the items that are already vegan. I had the “Blue Bear coffee” and I swear I could drink it every day. The griddled banana bread, morning bun, and mushroom tacos were all insanely good. Our server Kayla was also so sweet, efficient, and helpful with menu suggestions. Overall, I can’t wait to come back!

Great lunch spot and coffee too! We came here twice while visiting Racine. Their patio is cute and the service was great. The food tasted great and we loved the alcoholic and coffee drinks!

We had a reservation; were seated immediately. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Food was okay. Wait almost 45 minutes for it. What I’m assuming was the manager was less than savory. She yelled at waitresses for not giving out specials cards, then for filling ice waters. All over the noise of the crowd; very rude. She was loud and harsh and it only made a very cramped and loud space more uncomfortable. Wouldn’t go back.

On a whim we whipped into Blue Bear. We had heard a thing or two but we weren't sure what to expect. When we walked in we were greeted warmly and sat down. The atmosphere was chill and the place was clean. The eating area isn't huge, but I don't think I saw anyone wait longer than a few minutes. The waitress was patient as we were deciding on drinks for brunch.
Then came time for the menu... everything on it sounded amazing. We couldn't figure out what we wanted to try since it all sounded so good. Typically in these positions we choose a few shareable items and we are good to go. We still struggled with what we wanted to try though. It's a rare instance we can't decide at least a few share plates. The prices made it untenable to try the entire menu so we had to make a choice of sorts.
Our drinks came out and they were all amazing. Just the regular coffee was robust and strong, but the Vanilla Bourbon Chai Tea was phenomenal. It's mixed with a little bourbon and it went down smooth. The Mexican Mocha was decadent as well and was enjoyed by the group as a tasting as well.
For an appetizer we took on the Jumbo Cinnamon Morning Bun and Breakfast Brat Sticks with Guinness Maple Syrup. The cinnamon bun was flaky and wasn't overly sweet. The brat sticks were good alone but drenched in the syrup they stole the show for the appetizers.
Next came the plates. We had the Short Rib Hash, Blue Bear Benedict, Chicken Confit and Cheddar Waffles, and a special which was a berry stuffed crepe plate I can't recall the name of. The Short Rib Hash was nothing shy of amazing. The ribs had a wonderful rich flavor that tied the rest of the hash together. The homemade bread toast that came with it was great for sopping up the leftover gravy at the bottom.
The Blue Bear Benedict defies everything I knew about poached eggs. They are deep fried poached eggs served on a potato pancake with a slice of ham. Every bite was consistently sensational and you never tired from the flavor combination.
I have never been one for chicken and waffles but the Chicken Confit and Cheddar Waffles made a believer of me. The chicken literally fell off the bone with little to no pressure. The waffles were made with aged cheddar and were perfectly crispy. The jalapeño maple syrup wrapped the chicken and the waffles in a warm cocoon of sugary subtle fire. The berry crepes were stuffed with a berry mixture that was fantastic.
You can't go wrong stopping in for any of the dishes I tried. The rest of the menu is sure to be just as good I am sure. Great wait staff, easy atmosphere, fast service, and some of the most enjoyable food I have ever had for brunch make this a place to try again and again.

I was really excited about this place when I saw the menu. Terribly disappointed. The service was terrible first of all. We sat down and our waitress said “the boss is in the kitchen sorry it took so long , I was checking things out in the back “. If the boss was there don’t you think attention to detail and great service would be a given?
Ordered the Blue Bear mimosa ... champagne was warm .
Then we ordered the bacon doughnuts , they were hard and very doughy , over cooked and the dough was very obviously overworked. It was almost as if they made them earlier and flash fried them before they served them... soaked up a lot of oil .
The Garbage Pile sandwich had some promise however the hash browns were still pale and soggy .. not a speck of color or carmelization on them. The croissant was the best part and the cheese sauce was good but needed to be seasoned better.
The Brat sticks were cute and they were decent . However , the dipping sauce needed some work.
Great concept .. great looking menu but not quite there yet.
We waited 20 minutes for our check also.

I've been there many times (breakfast, lunch and now dinner), and I'm never disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the staff are wonderful, and then there is the food... the FOOD!!!! Always fresh. Always amazing! I can't recommend one specific thing because I haven't had anything that I haven't loved!

I've eaten here many times for breakfast, the food is always amazing & the service is great. The staff is very polite, friendly, and welcoming. Finally tried dinner there tonight; $2 tacos, a good variety of choices/options, and cajun-fried cauliflower for an appetizer!!! Love this place.

Absolutely LOVED this place. The food is exquisite. The gluten-free food is amazing. Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Interesting menu choices with lots of flare! You must come try it out.

I feel bad leaving a negative review but they need to know what they can improve on..
We sat at the bar for brunch, the bar was sticky and we had a clear view of behind the bar which also looked dirty/messy. My boyfriend ordered an Irish coffee which the bartender forgot about for 20 min until we reminded him, he hardly seemed apologetic. I asked for a pecan hot chocolate drink and the bartender told me they didn't have that anymore because they were trying to "phase out all the winter drinks" so I stuck with water. I ordered a cup of the chicken and rice soup.. there was not one grain of rice in the soup. I showed it to the server and asked if this was chicken and rice.. he said "yeah, I guess the cook forgot to put the rice in it." (No offer to remake it) aside from no rice it was extremely salty. As we were waiting for our food to come we watched the bartender make this drink and it looked really good so I asked him what it was and he said it was the PECAN drink - the one I had initially asked for but he said they weren't making it anymore. We still had high hopes for our food but were highly disappointed. My boyfriend ordered the shortrib hash, it was over salted and the egg was WAY undercooked.. like the egg white was still clear and looked like snot. I had the pulled pork benedict and it was ok but the bbq and the hollandaise mixed together and it tasted like a bad curry also I found a giant piece of eggshell in it. Our bill came to $40. We really wanted to like this place but there were just too many issues. Hopefully they can improve

It's okay. It's a bit pricey if you bring your whole family....lesson learned on that one. Took the kids with for breakfast and the bill was over $65 food was okay would have been better without the lovely piece of hair in it, had to remind our server 3x for what we needed. If I go back it would be just for the drinks Great atmosphere though!

We had the vegan sausage and pasta, the Blue Bear Benedict, and mushroom bruschetta. Everything was delicious. We ordered a bottle of the Malbec which was very good and reasonably priced. The best was the flouless chocolate cake for desert! It was amazing. I only wish the atmosphere matched the food. The restaurant is small and tables are very close together. Overall well worth visiting.

Hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had in the Racine area and even beats breakfast in Milwaukee. It was very busy when we went, but our food didn’t take long to arrive and was hot and delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very polite and offered suggestions. It’s very clear why this place was voted ‘Best in Racine’. Definitely offers the quality and variety of food Racine has been lacking. We will be back and bringing our friends & family. Thank you for a fabulous first experience!

We had a very enjoyable dinner. Wonderful ambience, great food and good service. The owner came out a greeted us and everything was first class. If you want a change of pace, Blue Bear is the answer with their twists on classic dishes and their vegan and gluten free options. And keep room for dessert!!!

Stopped at Blue Bear on Tuesday for our first visit! We were celebrating my birthday! Food was awesome and our waitress and other staff were great!!! Would recommend and will be returning hopefully sooner rather than later!!!

Why haven't I been here before?!? This place is AMAZING. Tons of vegan & gluten free options. The coffee is incredible. This is seriously my new favorite place. Outstanding service. Even the music was perfect! Can't wait to go back....

We were a party of five which this restaurant is not equipped to handle. We had to sit on the patio and sometimes it rained. However, the food was excellent, tasty, and the presentation was first class. The service was friendly and speedy.

Was here for lunch on Monday. I ordered a sandwich (which was good) but it was supposed to come with homemade chips. I was informed immediately after ordering that “oops were out of chips...I can offer you fries for an upgrade fee of...” really?! Tacky! The other person with me was delighted to order the beet salad; wait for it...it didn’t have a beet in it. When she questioned the waitress about it, she said she would check with the kitchen. They were out of beets! (Might have offered that up BEFORE you served the salad!) They did the same thing to a woman at the table next to us as well. $32 for lunch (no alcohol) and not a very good experience. I’ll pass on going back.
