Most delicious food we have experienced in Raleigh. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Owner/chef came to great us personally. By far the best part of our honeymoon. We will definitely return and will recommend Bloomsbury Bistro to everyone.

The Deviled Eggs are the winner alongside their service and fresh bread. Enjoyed our visit and had fantastic service.

Ate here the other evening with my husband and we had a wonderful experience. Excellent choice if you’re looking for an upscale restaurant in the area. We ordered a Caesar Salad to split as an appetizer and the kitchen actually put the salad on two plates for us - wonderful touch. My husband ordered the Ribeye and said it was the best steak he’s ever had. I ordered the salmon and wild rice, which was phenomenal. I ordered the Snickers Semi Freddo and my husband ordered the cheesecake. Both were wonderful. The menu is limited, but they cook everything they do offer to absolute perfection. We will be returning and have already recommended to a couple of our friends. Last, but certainly not least, Emma W. was an amazing waitress. She was friendly and attentive. She was a huge part of what made our meal so enjoyable! She’s a great part of the Bloomsbury Bistro team.

This was some of the best service that I have had in Raleigh. White table cloths and the servers dressed in black with aprons. They have a wine menu that seemed reasonably priced. I ordered the Martian cocktail from their drink menu- it was not great. The food overall was a bit of a miss- the crab Bao buns were crispy and you only got a very small portion compared to other things. The menu seems to be all over the place- we had Tuna- the vegetables and rice with it were great but the tuna was not. and the Chicken Pot pie- the dough was almost raw in the middle (we were told it would take 20 minutes which was fine) and the chicken was quite dry and not cooked within the gravy. I wanted to give this a better rating and it would have been a 3 stars it is hadn’t have been for the service- the service really was great.

We ate here after winning a gift card from a school auction. The food was great. We enjoyed the flavor combinations of our dishes. The crab cake was plump and fresh. The deviled eggs with salmon were good. We like the scallops and the pork. The owner personally came to the table to ensure our dining experience was going well. We love supporting local!

Unpretentious high end gem tucked away between two of five points’ streets just off the convergence. Curated menu of items done perfectly. Excellent service. Outdoor seating. We had the trout and mahi, and fought over them as they were equally fantastic. Deviled eggs appetizer was delicious as was crème brûlée and toffee pudding for dessert. Will return!

Great service family friendly and good eating! Went here on a whim with my family and wasn't let down! We had the duck and the scallops in restaurant and took steak to go. Everything was AMAZING the owner even came around to see how our daughter was enjoying the kids menu! Because he designed it! Loved it. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Previously I posted a review and I must say that the owner and his team are amazing. Mr. Koster took the time to call me personally and invited my family to the restaurant to experience the great meal that we missed. We discovered that the menu is constantly updated based on the season and ask three food is prepared fresh. We felt very welcome and every morsel was delicious 😋 I recommend this restaurant if you would like an upscale, downtown dining experience!

I was seated for dinner at the time I reserved. Ordered a decent bottle of Pinot Noir which was brought right out and served by Becca with skilled assurance. My Caesar salad with anchovies was truly one of the best I’ve had in recent memory …they aren’t phoning this in. The dinner menu changes seasonally, so mentioning that my grilled salmon served over couscous and topped with spinach and sun dried tomatoes was delicious may not be helpful. I had a tawny port to finish, and a bite of my companion’s crème brûlée. If you have room, of recommend both. One thing that I really appreciate is that I was not rushed to turn over the table. The courses were paced to arrive just as we were finishing the prior one. That made for a nice dining experience rather than just a meal.

Great restaurant experience. Early evening the attire was more casual. The later it got the nicer people were dressed. I was pleased with appetizer, main, and dessert. Only criticisms were mahi was a little more medium well than medium. The front of house was a bit chaotic. Food was generally balanced. The appricot paired with the (stellar) duck confit was a miss for me.

A Raleigh gem. Really nice menu, with chef prepared food. Excellent service. The servers all help each other. Good value for top quality. Nice wine choices.

My experience was great. Service was prompt, food was hot and quick. Overall apart from my main dish it was a 5 star dinner. The eggplant was good but I also look at value for quality and I definitely felt like it lacked. All that to be said it was the only entree I tried. The mushroom soup was absolutely delicious. I would go again but it’s not my first pick.

I can not say anything negative. From the moment we walked in until we walked out was great. Our waitress, Virginia H was as good as you will ever get...thank you for a great experience. The owner served our food...talk about integrity. And that was just the people, now about the food, where to start. The butter they serve with the bread is so light and creamy it melts. My husband had the Carribean mussels which were cooked perfect in a white wine sauce as an appetizer and I got the charcuterie board, and not just your average it had duck pate', date chutney, assortment of cheese and meat. For our main courses he got the NY strip (med. rare). That was the most tender steak he had ever had (and he is a steak eater) I had the Mediterrian Lamb Chops. To end things we had their homemade pear sorbet which was so refreshing. If you are ever close by I recommend stopping by you will not regret it. I hope we get back soon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
