Overall Rating (1-10): 5.2
Tazza Kitchen provides a satisfactory dining experience with an ambiance that complements its setting. While it's a decent option for a casual meal, it's not a standout choice that would prompt me to go out of my way for a visit. There were 4 menu cards which made what foods were available a little confusing. Also no kids menu or options.
Atmosphere (1-10): 5.2
The Village District naturally has its charms, and Tazza complements it with a unique dining ambiance. The presence of a wood fire oven adds a cozy touch. they have a 1Pokestop and 1 Poke gym for all those Pokémon Go. However, T-Mobile has no service in this area and there was no WIFI available.
Food:
Chips & Queso (1-10): 6.3
These weren't just any ordinary chips and dip; the queso was particularly delicious. Although initially served with a modest amount of chips, the attentive server promptly noticed and provided an extra serving.
Cheeseburger w/ Bacon (1-10): 6.4
The burger was very satisfying, with a distinct and flavorful seasoning. It was clear the bun was fresh, adding to the overall high-quality feel of the meal.
Margherita Pizza (1-10): 4.2
Expectations were high for a wood-fired pizza, but this one seemed to have been hurriedly made. It was pulled out of the oven a bit too early, leaving a raw flour taste. Its not considered a thin pizza so the dough was overpowering. It took away from the sauce and cheese. If the pizza was better, my overall score would of been higher.
Value (1-10): 7.8
Considering the overall experience, spending $37 plus tip for two felt justified by the quality of the food
The food was very delicious, especially their chips and guacamole appetizer—it was clear that they were freshly made. The meatballs were delicious as well. The pork carnitas tacos were yummy, but I wish the pork was more juicy— it was a little dry.
Tazza Kitchen is tucked into a corner of the Village District and I’ve walked by it dozens of times without trying it. My mistake. It’s not easy to describe the POV of the menu. Artisanal pizza restaurant with tacos and keto friendly choices, a well stocked bar serving a tasty selection of house cocktails. I arrived early for dinner service on a Thursday without reservations and the bar was already full. I ended up at a table and started with the Dearly Departed, a strawberry riff on a paper plane that was lovely. My wife and I shared plates and everything we ordered was good. There’s no salt on the table and one dish in particular could have used a touch more salt (I’m a heavy salter) but the rest of the flavors were nicely balanced and delicious. The Strawberry Romaine salad was lightly dressed and a nearly perfect summer salad. The asparagus and prosciutto both visually appealing and delicious, just a great starter. And finally the Baja Bowl was a great collection of ingredients that come together and the whole much better than the sum of its parts, but it could have used more salt
:)
and we added the salmon, medium, which was cooked perfectly. Tazza Kitchen is my new favorite bar in the Village District and I’m looking forward to exploring more of the menu.
I visited this restaurant for the first time this week with some friends. The service and food were awesome. I will take my husband there for a date night soon.
Really delicious food. Nice atmosphere. The cocktails are also really well made and balanced. Quite impressed with everything we ordered. Only place it fell a little short was the humor of the staff. They were nice enough to get by but there is no managerial presence and no real warmness. We will certainly be back and I’d say out of the restaurants at Village District we’ve been to, they have the best food and drinks! Family friendly too which is nice. Have to shout out to the bartender Owen who was willing to make me an espresso martini with coffee, at my request, because they do not having an espresso machine- it was really good! Would recommend!
We love Tazza! It has been our go-to date night for years. The menu is fun, they always have great food specials, and their drinks are unique and vibrant. They are popular so a reservation is a must-have and reservations are easy to book online. The atmosphere is upscale but not stuffy. I absolutely *LOVE* the kale salad with salmon. Tonight we had Noah as a server and he was amazing! While we always have a positive experience at Tazza, we definitely received the best service we’ve ever had there tonight with our server, Noah. Noah was SO attentive to all of his tables (including ours but not just ours), moved quickly, had great knowledge of the menu and fantastic recommendations, asked follow up questions about the food and drinks we received to make sure everything came out great, and was just completely on top of everything. Thanks, Noah! You went above and beyond, making our experience at Tazza tonight truly exceptional. We love Tazza and can’t wait to come back! I already recommend Tazza to all my friends and will continue to do so :-)
Very good spot! I got the goat cheese salad and it was delicious, they also took special care with my food allergies. The service was wonderful, and I also liked paying the tab with my phone instead of having to give a card and write everything out. Overall a very nice restaurant in Raleigh with reasonable prices! Will definitely be going back.
Plenty of parking available here. We made reservations for dinner at around 530pm on a weekday and it wasn’t busy at first, but definitely started to get packed. Service was a little slow getting our drinks, which were very tasty and decently priced.
The chicken pasta is definitely the best dish here in my opinion, the chicken was juicy and the skin has a nice crisp to it. The tacos are good but a little over priced for the amount you get. They have a party pack of tacos, but unfortunately it’s only for take out. If they can incorporate that deal for dine-in then I would definitely come back for the tacos. We also ordered the pasta on the kids menu for the kids, which was a good amount and tasty.
Always love going to Tazza. They have a great menu with affordable meals. Some of the better items include the beef brisket tacos (skip the side and get an extra taco for 3 total), the goat cheese appetizer, meatball appetizer and the sausage honey pizza.
Don’t ask for extra Marinara, costs $4.50. Great atmosphere but can get loud so not best place for an intimate date or a place to really catch up with friends if your looking to dive into conversation. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious with warm and friendly service. Truly enjoyed and looking forward to visiting again. Food came out fast and was super fresh and flavorful. This is a great place for a tasty lunch or a date night!
Delicious tacos, black beans and mocktail. Our server was a bit over bearing - kept stopping by when we weren't finished our beverage.
This is a great spot! Get there early or make a reservation though because it's greatness isn't a secret. This is a place you'll need to go back to several times because there are just too many awesome dishes on the menu. Great vibe and great service to go along with that great menu as well. I had a business lunch so I didn't try any cocktails but I'm sure those are on point too!
I had a good experience here, my first time. Sat at the bar and just got a small pizza, so not sure how the dining service is, but the drinks are amazing and the service was great. Classy place! Will definitely come back to try more of the food.
I was there with my wife on Friday, I had never been and went based on google reviews. We had a great time. The tacos were very tasty. I didn’t care for the rice. It was kind of hard but not a big deal. The atmosphere was great for a date night. Service was good and we appreciated the attention given to us by the owner/manager. There was a small miscommunication over our food order but it was quickly corrected. I will definitely come back here again.
We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine:

I am totally speechless! I don’t think there is a word that describes how amazing the food is. Tazza Kitchen is conveniently located in lovely Cameron Village. It’s the perfect date night, chill night, family night spot! The vibes are so relaxed but the food is on FLEEK! Pictured here is the spicy honey sausage pizza, the southern bbq plate, shrimp and pork carnitas tacos and the prosciutto and arugula pizza. Our personal fav was the ... EVERYTHING... Nothing on their menu disappoints. Trust us when we tell you! They are also known for their cocktails. Pictured here is the soul sister, white denim and the rub down! To sum this up — take ten seconds to scroll through these images — I are not responsible for anyone licking there phone.
Everything tasted delicious except the soggy overcooked shrimp taco. Service was good, but left room for improvement.
First time here; had a reservation and we were seated quickly. They were just starting to get busy so our service was just a touch slow but nothing not expected for Sunday Brunch. Our waitress was very pleasant and tried to be attentive. The atmosphere was nice but a bit noisy (again, starting to get busy) with ample seating. We had this pretentious guy 2 tables away that talked so loud we could all hear his conversation. The food was good but pretty average...nothing stood out to us as 'OMG we must come here again!' but nothing was so negative that we knew we would never go back (and there was another drink on the menu I want to try...). It was just good and simple.
