Went on a weekend...super busy, had to wait. The waiting area was cute with interesting art work. Hosts were busy and preoccupied. The clientele looked very diverse. We got a window seat with two people tiny table, a work of wooden art, yet so tiny if you order two items and two drinks, I had to put some items on floor and window sill. The lady waiting on her was super nice, warm and understanding and goes out of her way kind. The food was greasy, large amounts and goat cheese items, fried pickles ideas were out of this world. Love the concept of experimental drinks. Parking is limited and we had to walk a distance across the street to reach the place. The ambiance was cheerful with good lights, unique arts and kind of cooler temperature for a cold day. I would say once must try place.....
I got the sriracha chicken and waffles. The chicken was was moist and tender the waffles were soft and fluffy. The taste was absolutely ridiculous. It was good! Goat cheese grits and their potatoes were phenomenal as well.
This was definitely a 5 star meal until I saw that my bag was missing utensils and I saw a $6 charge on the mobile app for utensils. I already paid $32 for the meal you gotta squeeze me for utensils as well?! 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Wow! The Asheville hot chicken with mac and cheese waffles was delicious. I subbed the chicken for the honey-dusted variety and it was amazing; the swirl of hot honey meant that I still got some spice when I wanted it. My friend had been here before for breakfast and loved it, but she said she's getting my order next time she visits. The sodas were also great and had a lot of fresh flavor with their fruit purees.
We went for Saturday brunch and I really enjoyed the fried chicken eggs benedict. That's not what it's called on the menu, but you'll know what I'm talking about. I've never had chicken on eggs benedict, but I highly recommend it! The chicken was fried perfectly, it tasted great, and it was very tender. Next time I'll order extra hollandaise sauce on the side; it was delicious! The macaroni and cheese was very good, and the fried potatoes and fried green tomatoes were crispy and super yummy. They take reservations and the service was very friendly! I highly recommend this restaurant.
So, first time patron. The food was on point; full of flavor. I had the Peach & ??? Margarita, the 9oz, and let me tell you.....Be ready. It was really good, though. I didn't get the fruity taste, and the Prosecco was Prosecco-ing. I'd definitely do it again.
Now the waitress was giving, I need a new job, vibes so I would totally ask for another if I ended up with her again. #FooodieNewbie
Tupelo is always a great place to get some good southern food. A little busy so ended up sitting at the bar. Food was really tasty but the wait was a little long.
The Old Skool breakfast bowl and Harvest Bowl were so flavorful and delicious! Mimosas were awesome too! Blueberry lavender was really good! Definitely get the larger size mimosa, it's just a few bucks more and worth it. Overall, it was a great time! They do have their own parking lot down the street but it fills up fast. Get there early if you can!
Came here after a beautiful church service! Everything was on point from the time we walked in to the time we left! Our servers were amazing and always came back to check in on us! The food omg, I ate everything on my plate!! Contemplated getting some food to go. I’ll be back for sure! Highly recommend. My meal was so good I forgot the name of it. But you should go!!
I ate here once this past summer and this is definitely one of the top places to eat at in Raleigh. Wish I could have ordered more off the menu, but the shrimp and grits filled me up more than I thought it would. Loved the atmosphere and all the waiters did a great job!
This is the most awesome
Place to eat. I love the atmosphere there. And I also love the food. There are biscuits and honey was on the money, it was delicious. I truly enjoyed myself. With my grandkids and daughter, it was a birthday gift out of this world to be able to eat there at Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen.
There biscuit and blueberry jam is pretty good. The biscuits are huge. The egg Benedict wasn’t great but it was good. Loved the crispy potatoes that came with it though. This place usually is slammed packed so we were lucky to get a table.
My sister made a reservation for 6 people for 10:30am, but the system, for some reason, didn't show it. We were about to be turned around by this young man. But, this nice young lady at the check-in accommodated us. She showed southern hospitality. I will be back again.
Overall, it was a nice experience 👌
I've been meaning to come here for a while now. A friend took me for a birthday brunch on Sunday. They seem to be pretty busy. The staff was very friendly. We only had to wait about 5 mins for a table. The servers came pretty quickly. We ordered the Lavernder mimosas. It was so yummy. The food was good as well.
This is a must-visit location. The shrimp and grits meal was delicious. Sadly, A friend had a fried chicken sandwich that appeared to be overcooked. A second friend had chicken and waffles. She enjoyed her meal as well. We ordered overcooked biscuits as they were hard and crumbling while eating. However, a table within eyesight received some cooked as they should have been from what we could see. The blueberry jelly was delicious.
Our server was unattentive. It was busy. However, all her tables, maybe eight, were in the same area. It was like she purposefully avoided eye contact when in the area. She had to be called verbally on every occasion, or we asked another waiter. My friend asked for Mayo, and it took 15 minutes or more to receive it.
Meanwhile, her sandwich was getting cold. I would go back. However, there are areas of improvement; food quality and customer service.
Had a lovely time here. It was Mother’s Day and graduation weekend so things were very busy but overall felt super well attended too, if not a tad rushed in the beginning to order. However, the food was delicious. Portions were generous for the cost. The cocktails and wine were also great. Would absolutely recommend. Staff was super friendly, especially a woman (perhaps a manager?) who made a quick adjustment to seating once she realized my mother needed some mobility accommodations. Check this place out!
After scouring mid-town and downtown for late afternoon lunch, finally remembered Tupelo Honey and thank goodness we did! Truly nothing we had was less than perfect from the kids food to the adults meals! Our server was amazing as she was always on top of our needs, and was a welcoming presence.
The shrimp po reminded me of the Sip, and my kids loved their waffles, fries and more. I’m pleasantly surprised for a regional chain.
We will definitely come back and recommend any family make this a lunch spot.
