This is probably the nicest restaurant in town. The food is absolutely perfect and if whiskey is your thing, they have many options. As an avid miller lite drinker, I was pleased to see they had miller high life. This alone almost earned the 5 stars rating. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Highly recommend you check it out!
Whiskey Kitchen has a great reputation and somehow I just haven't been able to get around to reading here. Glad that I finally got a chance. The beverage program is tight and the cocktails are great. Food is good but not in the same league as their beverages which are very creative. The space has great ambience and I like the industrial design that feels like a warehouse or hangar. Indeed there are garage doors into the patio. Service was fine but nothing special. Overall good but not excellent and a good neighborhood hangout.
I got the Grain Bowl with shrimp, it was delicious! I would probably get it without meat additions because it was very flavorful when you got bites on its own. The Monkey Bread dessert was delicious. Overall super filling meal.
Drink wise, I got the Booneshines Hatchet Coffee Porter — it was good and very coffee-y. I’m not a whiskey drinker but the people I was with seemed to like it; they got the 21 & Over flight.
Our waiter was very nice and did a good job.
Loved this place! Food was FANTASTIC and the Whiskey flight was super fun too — lots of variety to choose from! The staff was very knowledgeable about the selection as well.
The food was... Okay. My friends Lamb Burger was great according to him but my shrimp and grits fell flat. The whole bowl was just DROWNING in this tomatoe based BBQ sauce? I'm really not sure why it needed to cover the whole bowl but the grits had NO butter so they were bland but at least had a good texture. The shrimp was cooked well. But that's about it.
The DRINKS however were made very well. Some were a little more watered down then others but overall the space is fantastic and the service was GREAT! Will come back for sure.
Took some friends out to dinner. We had never been here but thought it looked like a fun place to hang out. While the decor was the typical trendy setup, the food selection was very interesting and we each tried something different. I think hands down the pork chops were the winner of the night with everything else running close second. We were pleasantly surprised by the chefs take on some true southern dishes. This spot is worth a visit.
Whiskey Kitchen located in Raleigh hands down serves one of the best Fried Brussels and Broccoli with a tasty sauce on the side! Great dinner spot with a lovely atmosphere serving delicious food(a limited food menu though)and great drinks! You can choose their cozy indoor seating or lovely outdoor patio with downtown views and enjoy a great dine in experience!
I am a fan of Whiskey Kitchen. I’ve been here several times just to grab a cocktail and have also come in to eat on a few occasions. Be aware, if you’re coming in for food the menu is limited. It’s probably worth your while to review the menu online before coming in to make sure they have something you want. That said, every bite of food I’ve had at Whisky Kitchen has been delicious. The BBQ sampler plate (that’s no longer on the menu), the Grain Bowl with added fried chicken, the Lamb Burger, the Smoke Quail, … all of it beautifully presented and delicious. The service is always great here but it can get busy and it’s not unusual for the inside to fill up but you can still order drinks to take out to the patio. They do take reservations so if you’re not feeling lucky…
But even if you can’t get a table for dinner or even a seat at the bar you can order an amazing drink at the carry out bar. As the name suggests, Whiskey Kitchen has an impressive Whiskey selection and they have a good selection of specialty house cocktails. The House Old Fashioned is very nice, not reinventing the wheel just delivering a great classic, same with their version of the Paper Plane. A great place with a great vibe and one of my favorite places to get a drink (and food) when I’m in downtown Raleigh.
Came here randomly Saturday evening—luckily we found a few seats at the bar. Love the ambiance here! They have a HUGE bar selection, tons of whiskey and bourbons.
Food was okay—we got the Lamb Burger, BBQ Sandwich, Banger & Boxty and Crispy Broccoli. Service was great and food came out relatively fast!
Incredible, everything we ordered the flavors popped, best brussel sprouts I've ever had, and I'm pretty sure the lamb hamburger & collard greens will be served in heaven! Service was amazing, friendly people, thank you Jared!
