I must say, that their in-house cappuccino is in my top three best cappuccino experiences ever. I have traveled to many European countries including the land of espresso itself, Italy, and this cappuccino beats out all the rest. I also had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a maple biscuit, and it was glorious. I highly recommend this place, however parking and seating can be a little troublesome, because it's such a popular place among NC State College students.
This has been my favorite local coffee spot since they first opened in Lafayette village. I was in college at the time and would sometimes think about driving all the way back to Raleigh just to grab one of their vanilla lattes and chocolate chip waffles! Oh, and the bacon, egg, and cheddar biscuits are literally the best you will get anywhere. No joke. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is always great! I will always go out of my way for my Jubala fix. :)
Best coffee in Raleigh. The modern, simplistic, and sleek design of their new flagship in the shadow of the NC State bell tower on Hillsborough street only accentuates the experience of enjoying a perfect cup. The baristas are friendly, skilled and knowledgeable, and deliver a beautiful pour every time. Like their North Raleigh location, Counter Culture is the Roaster for Jubala's 2nd shop, which is always a win. The food menu is a bit expanded - continuing to offer the classic biscuits and waffles we all love, but also adding house-made sausage and other baked goodies.
If you are looking for legitimate coffee and expresso beverages in a relaxing atmosphere - near Downtown/NCSU - Look no further, as Jubala is the place. If only 6 stars were an option...
Jubala has been my family's favorite coffee shop since we moved to Raleigh. Not only is their coffee spot on but also their food items are out of this world. Awesome service. Super friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. Both locations are really cool spots to either hang out or sit down with some coffee (or whatever drink cus there all awesome) and a biscuit and get some work done.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Raleigh. Very friendly staff! Highly recommend
I hate coffee usually, but the place was in the hotel I was staying at. The coffee changed my view about what coffee could be. It was smooth and crisp, with no burnt aftertaste. The food, was simple but amazingly satisfying. It rarely go to a restaurant twice when traveling. I ate here every morning. Get the banana and Nutella waffle or if you want something a little more savory go for the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. Great staff too. Not the pretentious baristas that I wanna smack the daylights out of usually.
Great place! The prices are little bit high, but the personal and service are great!
this place consistently has the most unreal vibrations. counter culture has some fuego beans
Enjoyed my first time here. Good food and service even for us non-coffee drinkers
Excellent biscuits, waffles and coffees. I had breakfast there 5 days in a row and still loved every bite!
Incredible decor and setup, great staff, and high quality coffee and food make for a great experience. A must try!
Coffee was the best in the city as usual. But, who knew the muffins were so good? Wish I could come more often.

Delightful place. Great flat white - the real deal for coffee. And what a crazy yummy biscuit and banana Nutella waffle.
Great service and amazing coffee! Always happy to go whenever I have a free day with my boyfriend.
Always have great coffee and food here. Love both venues!
Great shop aesthetic, a specialty coffee bar at it's finest! Cappuccino came out at the perfect temperature and milk texture/latte art was on point. Great selection of B&W retail bags and Rishi teas. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place during my visit to Raleigh.
First time to Jubala Coffee and fell in love with their drop biscuits. Best biscuits I have had. Their Carmel Latte was very creamy and smooth. I will return.
We came to visit for our nephew’s graduation and ordered tons of food from here. As big as our orders were, everything was spot on. They didn’t make any mistakes or forget anybody’s meal. It was ready on time and the staff was so friendly. Definitely will come back for a biscuit sandwich next time we are in town. The food is great! 😊
Fast service and really nice people. Please get their biscuits and their jams, they are delicious. Better than Starbucks in my opinion.
Stopped by to grab some coffee and snacks in the morning. This location was busy and is on a college campus. Parking was a little difficult to find. The lady at the counter was helpful and informative and was able to answer all my questions. I got a caramel latte which was delicious and not too sweet and also got a fruit cup which unfortunately only had apples and oranges in it. Was hoping for a little more variety. Overall great place!
Love!!! We’re in town for a short period of time and friends recommended we stop here for breakfast. We got a vanilla iced latte, a cortado, and some sandwiches — it was all DELISH. Yummy food, amazing friendly staff & service. Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch.

Fantastic coffee with a nice modern vibe. Limited indoor seating can make out difficult to enjoy this place in the hot Raleigh summer months; but, if you're lucky you'll be able to squeeze in I'm their communal table.
Good snacks all clearly made in house as you can see from the kitchen in the back. Good outdoor seating right across from the campus.
Update (2019-10-20):
Went back recently and this place continued to be as wonderful as it was the first time. I grabbed a banana bread, and a mocha. The mocha was more bitter than a traditional mocha, but still good. The banana bread was delicious, but had chocolate in it (just in case you're not a chocolate person).
Fantastic cashier was very sweet and helpful.
From coffee to waffles, from Biscuits to service everything here is best . Blueberry waffles is addictive here having it 3 day straight in my visit .
All the member of the cafe are super humble and loving people and the atmosphere is super calm thanks to there music choices ….
Must visit place for coffee and breakfast lovers.
Love John Michael; the most friendly, professional barista you’ll ever meet!!
Be prepared to wait at least 15 mins for a drink. And longer if you order food. Quality ingredients :)
TL;DR Sophisticated, Modern, Beautifully balanced drinks. (Supplied coffee from Black and White Roasters)
Just stunning...
I got the Doppio Espresso and a Kyoto Cold Brew to go, the wife got a Chai Latte (Drinks)
We also enjoyed a Biscuit with Big Spoon Peanut Butter, and the Raspberry Jam. Extremely well cooked, Crispy Edges with a soft fluffy inside!
Only issue is they didn't use the WDT tool for puck prep haha (not really a issue, more just a coffee joke.)
Great coffee shop right next to aNC State campus. Knowledge and friendly staff and delicious coffee from local Black & White roasters. One of the best coffee shops in the Triangle
Some of the best coffee in Raleigh! Their lattes and matcha are particularly inspired. Their menu items are amazing, which is rare for a cafe. I got the tuna melt last time I was there and the ingredients were high quality. The ambience is very bright and cheery, think lots of beige and pine. It's close to Hillsborough, so the street noises reverberate a bit, but overall a solid meeting place for a friend date.
We visit Jubala on a weekly basis for their delicious coffee! We order iced cappuccinos with mocha which is made with local Videri chocolate, and they are perfect every time. But what honestly keeps us coming back are the baristas who remember our names, our drink orders, and always say hi. In a world where things feel transactional & like everyone is in their own worlds, it makes my day when I’m treated as a human being. So grateful for this coffee & crew!
Delicious and actually tastes like real coffee unlike Starbucks. The staff was nice, but it was loud so a little hard to hear her when ordering. I wish they had gluten-free biscuits because those looked yummy. None of these negative comments would keep me from coming back.
Will definitely be back.
Not sure why it took us so long to finally get to Jubala, but it certainly won't be long before we come back! We had a latte and a cappuccino, both of which were wonderful. The turkey+avocado sandwich was perfect. My partner is avocado toast obsessed and she said this was one of her favorites. Warm service and a nice atmosphere.
So I want to start off with food and coffee is good. The biscuits are yummy and the coffee was a good flavor. There was just one interaction that messed up the experience there. We were sitting outside at the end and afterwards we looked around and could not find the trashcan. So we put our things on the table because other tables had trash on them. One of the servers came over to us and said "there is an actually trash can" in a very condescending way. We were so taken back about her awful attitude. She had green hair and piercings. What a terrible person. I had noticed when I was placing my order she had a giant eye roll when we were told you were out of waffles. Maybe she should drink so coffee before working with the public.
I drop in here for coffee and espresso, and somehow always seem to get hungry for the bacon, egg and cheese biscuits. Delicious! Great vibe and atmosphere.

Top notch cappuccino (taste, ceramic cup quality and artistry - equivalent to Temple Coffee Roasters in Sacramento, CA) and the biscuit sandwiches are standard setting (I put them up with Pine State Biscuits in Portland, OR). The coffee and food combo here is unmatched compared to the cafes I’ve been to around the world (Jubala is like a marriage of the above mentioned Temple and Pine State Biscuits). Customer service is great, interior architecture and design touches are spot-on, plus the location across from Henry Square adds some great scenery. Bravo!
Great place to grab a bite for breakfast or lunch. I got a biscuit even though it was labeled as "sweet", and a pour over it was definitely worth it! The staff is super friendly, just make sure you don't come in and stand at the end of the line, it's fairly easy to do. Grab your food and have a seat with a beautiful view of Henry Square and the Memorial Clock Tower to watch the world go by for a minute. If you're like me you'll enjoy the background noise of people having conversations and traffic on the street, if not grab a seat inside and just chill for a minute.
