This place is a little slice of heaven. The chicken salad is one of a kind and delicious. Everything is so fresh. The customer service is top notch too. Highly recommend this place.

So awesome to have delicious healthy lunch choices in downtown Raleigh. Grilled chicken mango salad and gazpacho! With a delicious homemade dressing. Thank you sunflowers!

I went today for lunch here and it was phenomenal. I ate chicken salad with bacon and avocado, which was citrusy and not at all bland. my friend had a fabulous tuna melt. We ate banana pudding with homemade custard and I haven't eaten anything that good in a long time. Thank you. 5/5 - I'll be a regular for sure.

Delicious and with gluten free and Paleo options. There's no specific menu, but you can make choices that work for your dietary needs.

4 and a half stars for Sunflower's. The atmosphere was quaint and enjoyable. Though it is small they do have both outdoor and indoor seating. The fish tacos were delicious. They have an extensive menu to choose from. I really appreciated how the female owner came over to greet and welcome us as it was our first time there. I deducted half a star because there was one male employee at the counter who on more than one interaction with him was less than friendly and hospitable (very poor eye contact, no smile, no please, thank you, or you're welcome, looked past me, put my food items on the other side of the register from where I was standing). Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.

I’ve passed Sunflowers countless times in the 2 yrs I’ve lived here (I kept thinking it was permanently closed), but I’m glad I stopped in. My sandwich was good and fairly priced (for Raleigh standards), and the staff were pleasant and friendly. The wait was only slightly long for it not being very busy. The menu seems to emphasize house-made/fresh items. I’ll definitely give it another try!

My wife and I love Sunflower’s and are regulars here on the Saturdays. We love the food, people, decor and layout that make this place special. The inside is bright with windows all around and a great patio area that wraps around the building. The inside has artwork by local artists on the walls for sale. The food here always rocks and being a creature of habit I usually get the East Coast Pimento Cheese (ECPC) and my wife gets the Californian. Their salads are also really good and they have plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans it appears.

I had been to Sunflower's Cafe many years ago in it's old location, but had not visited this location until recently. The parking lot was packed and so was the restaurant for a late Friday lunch. There was quite a line to place an order and no seats available at first. I assumed that this place is popular because the food is good. I was not let down. I had the New Club in Town Sandwich which was very tasty. There is a very pleasant atmosphere and the location is convenient on Peace Street without getting into the middle of downtown Raleigh.

I had a super tasty slice of spinach and feta quiche accompanied with a side salad and "fresh fruit". Now, let me be clear...the fresh fruit amounted to one small triangle slice of pineapple 1.5", at its wider end, and a 2"x3"x.25" piece of watermelon. Ultimately, I did not leave satisfactorily full. Perhaps this is the way they convince folks to buy dessert...leave them wanting/needing more. My lunch cost me $10.77 + tip..equalling almost $13 and I only had a glass of water as a beverage.

The food was excellent and we were the only people in there at opening! A couple with 2 small, boisterous children decided to sit right beside us with the whole place available!!! The service was good but there was some error with my order! I got egg salad with bacon WITHOUT cheese on sunflower seed bread and it had cheese on it!!! Not good Sunflower's cafe!!! I was there visiting from out of town!!!! ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE EVEN WITH ALL THAT WENT WRONG!! EXCELLENT FOOD!!!

I have heard from several friends about how good this restaurant was for dinner. It is real close to my house, but I had never noticed it. Well today I tried it and I really have missed out. The food was excellent and a great value. It is lunch only, but it is an awesome, healthy, and great value. Highly reccommend

I went on a Monday afternoon for my first time. The food was great! There is a cook named Ben who works there who is super sweet and did an amazing job. He was very welcoming and prepared my food perfectly. I will be coming again!

Creative sandwiches, salads and soups. Dependably delicious and homemade. This restaurant is conveniently located, just off Peace Street and offers accessible parking. It's an easy place to meet without getting caught in the craziness of downtown.

While traveling from Cary to Raleigh looking for a place to grab a bite I came across this little gem on Google. I was attracted to it because of the name; Sunflowers have sentimental value to me and it truly carried exactly what I needed. Upon walking in you're greeted by the cashier and get to pick from a menu of Favorites for everyone. I was pleased to see a 1/2 & 1/2 Combo. I indulged in a Apple & Portobello Salad and a Fried Green tomato sandwich with a Sweet Tea. Being from up north the only time I've heard of Fried Green tomatoes is in the movie. But boy oh boy did I enjoy it ! It was juicy with a crunch on sunflower bread. The salad had fresh apples and portobello in it. All options can be vegetarian or vegan. The choice is yours. truly a must visit location !
