Oakwood Cafe - Raleigh - Photo album

Smaller place, just a short walk from the Capitol, but worth every step. It wasn’t very busy on a Monday at noon, but I have no idea why. Nice atmosphere, friendly server, and the food turned out to be excellent. I ordered the Milanesa a Caballo sandwich with fried yuca, and it was absolutely wonder
I love coming here not only because the food is delicious but also because it's a small place where you feel very welcome and catered to. They have great cafe Cubanos. This is a nice choice whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are generous with their servings and you feel like you're getti
Oh boy... A Cuban Argentinean Restaurant in the heart of Raleigh. Great location, Great customer service, great tasting food and very clean at a moderate price. The food is cooked on the spot. Good for the whole family. I strongly suggest. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great atmosphere and people. There was a miscommunication with getting a doggy bag. The woman was very nice and cooked us food that was thrown away by mistake. Be careful to make it clear you want your food. Speaking of food the paradilla for two was amazing (see pic)! This is a great place for a da
This place was absolutely fantastic. Came by for work lunch and the service was very fast and the food was delicious. Got a cuban steak sandwich with yuca fries and everything in the dish was very tasty and complimented each other so well. Others at my table got a pork entree, seafood and salad and
This is a small, beautifully decorated restaurant in Downtown Raleigh. The portion size is perfectly adequate, authentic and delicious! The dining room is small, so plan ahead if needed.
The food was good and the service was good, but they were very busy and there was only one server. The building is small, so one server is ok, but don't be in a hurry---it may take a little time to be served. Also, parking onsite is very limited and street parking is not permitted, so plan according
We tried this Argentinean Cuban restaurant during the lunch to dinner transition. We ordered the churrasco and it didn't disappoint: juicy steak cooked to perfection and accompanied by tasty chimichurri. I ordered tostones and the mixed rice and beans. I recommend this place on any given day.
Delicious and authentic! I've ordered a matrimonio (chorizo & morcilla) and flan to go. They were the best I had in the US so far. I must visit them every time I'm in town now!
Found this Cuban restaurant while walking downtown Raleigh.... Both are really good 🙂 My Wife and I are very much enjoyed the taste of everything here!
Very well prepared food. Bread was cheap, however the service and friendliness of the staff was great! The food, other than the bread, was prepared with skill and was delicious. This is worth trying, long time mom and pop from Argentina I believe. The steak was worth it! Prepared with skill and th
I first came across this place when I was working off of N Person St. Although the place is small and can get very busy, the food never takes too long. & speaking of the food...AMAZING. The plating and portions can be what you'd expect from a place that is trying to stay on top of the modern trends
From the Cuban coffee to the empanadas to the empanizado (breaded) steak, everything was delicious from top to bottom! Great atmosphere too. Be sure to try the sauce on the table. Everything was already seasoned perfectly, but the sauce adds a nice kick if you're in the mood for it. We actually went
Good options for lunch if you are not a vegetarian. The service was slow, i got the cuban pork sandwich with rice and beans, was pretty good. another person who was in our group got the chicken milanese and he liked it a lot. The hot sauce was so-so.
Very conveniently located a block from the Federal office building on New Bern Avenue. Unassuming on the outside, simply decorated but cozy on the inside. Picadillo was fresh and well-seasoned. Grilled chicken was seared crisp on the outside and tender inside. Fried catfish had a light, crispy coati
Amazing food! We wanted to try everything so we just asked the waitress for her favorites. The Roasted Pork was flavorful, the Picadillo was delicious and our favorite was the Chicken Napolitana! The choice of sides is unique and fun with fried yuca, fried plantains, black beans, red beans, spinach
The food was really good here. It's a small place with patio sitting. I visited first time but my friends told me that this is one of the best place to eat. It is usually crowded during lunch time so make sure you have enough time. The staff was very courteous too. The prices were average. A wrap wi
