A great prime rib, but with several larger groups hard for eaitress to check on us. Still enjoy Peddlers. Aalso dessert selection was much smaller than last time. For people that have allergies like myself, a few more selections help in selecting a dessert. Since there were so few we didn't order
So the big debate is Angus Barn v The Peddler. I have been to Angus Barn quite a few times. This is my first time at the peddlers. I ordered the prime rib, which was delicious. But I must say the Prime Rib at Angus Barn is Better. But...... my Aunt ordered the Rib-Eye I had to try A piece lol . It
This was my first experience at the Peddler Steak House. I loved it! It was the best service. My drink was delicious, and the steak..omg. seasoned perfectly, juicy and tender. I am in love. My uncle had the salad and he enjoyed every bit of it. We both had to stop ourselves from eating the steak to
I love steak and we often have it at home on my grill. My preferred cuts are Porter House and Ribeye. On my visit I got the Porterhouse. So did my friend sitting next to me. Both steaks were very tasty but also slightly, gristly and I thought cut fairly thin. Not what I expected for a $39 steak. Oth
Prime rib was tender and delicious. It was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked.
Salad bar was fresh with lots of options. My partner said his chicken breast was delicious.
The steamed veggies were fresh and crisp and served in generous portions.
Our server Lisa was sweet and attentive.
The
Best steak I’ve ever had!! Ive had the filet and the prime rib and they’re delicious. Never had better, and you can have them bring out choices of meat to the table and cut it for you. Great staff and a separate bar area as well. Low light , white table cloth atmosphere. It’s a must try
Greeted by the kindest hostess who offered her favorite dishes. This was our first visit of many to come!! The setting was perfect for a weeknight dinner, and Deija easily recommended her favorites on the menu. Let’s talk salad bar! So many fresh and delicious options… a meal in itself. I had the hi
The Peddler recently received numerous accolades. Because of the high praise, I picked it to celebrate my birthday dinner.
The steak, the primary reason we visited, was enjoyable. The rest of the food left us disappointed.
My filet was cooked correctly at medium rare, but it was salty and had a sl
I had onion soup, which was not even close to being hot. The lettuce on the salad bar was dripping wet. My salmon was very tasty, but my husband had the porterhouse steak and it had a great deal of sinewy around the edges and the steak knife was totally inadequate to cut through it. For the cost of
Reservations for 8 or more only. It was very busy, 45 minute wait time. We were seated originally next to a very large group and excessively loud. So loud that we couldn't hear each other at our table. We told our waitress and she was very apologetic and quickly found another table in a quieter are

The food was great. I had the Porterhouse and my wife had the Ribeye steak with a sweet potatoe. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. The asparagus was just alright, but the rest of the food was delicious. The salad bar was also enjoyable with all your favorite t
One of my favorite places to eat in Raleigh. Salad bar is awesome. Steaks are great. Service is spectacular. Atmosphere is quaint. Locally owned. And super perfect for any occasion. Wonderful folks.
Don’t let the exterior fool you. They have the best steaks, the grilled bread is to die for, the pimento cheese amazing and my favorite part is the salad bar!! My only complaint is there are no steak accompaniments like bernaise, red wine sauce, Oscar style, etc.
And btw, when I say the best stea
If you have proper expectations the place is fine. It is not a top end steak that gets delivered to your table. It's also not a top end price tag. So all is good. Look elsewhere for "fine dining" steak experience. Look here for a fun vibe and ok food.
As others have said, the salad bar is exce
The food was great, best salmon I've in awhile. My friend order the Porterhouse steak and he too was satisfied. Everything is fresh and having a visual of the kitchen is a bonus. Staff is friendly and very courteous.
My wife and I showed up at around 6 without a reservation-not sure they take them there. We were told the wait was about an hour and so we waited at the bar. The place is old and according to a couple we met at the bar, basically unchanged since the 1970s. This was fine by us as it did have a nice v
Peddler is an old Raleigh Staple. A steakhouse staple if you will. lol.
The meats are great and the service is great - the atmosphere is not great but it’s been this way for at least 40 years that I can attest to!
If you have t. Even there, you should try it!
If this review helped you, give me a t
The Peddler is a wonderful place for a delicious charcoal grilled steak. The salad bar is amazing. We got the shrimp trio appetizer and it was also delicious. We waited in the bar for about an hour. If you enjoy strong drinks, their bar is for you! I got an Old Fashioned and it was almost too st
