Being a Michigander (Flint) all my life and knowing a Coney dog, I have to admit I’m partial to Flint style but there’s no way I’ll pass up a Detroit style when the opportunity arises. Thank you Cloos’!
Loved this place. The food was delicious (just what we had expected) and the service friendly. The staff was informative and took time to chat with us about their restaurant and our home town. If you can't get to Detroit for a coney dog, this is the next best thing!

Best Chili Cheese Fries around! My favorite sandwich is the Patty Melt (add bacon!) Other excellent choices are cheese steak and hot dogs!
I've been going to Cloos for twenty years now. If you like detroit style, natural casing hot dogs, freshly made burgers, sliders, grilled sandwiches, etc. and friendly service then this is the place for you.
This place has the best sliders in town, along with the best service.
Our first visit will not be our last. Loved the food and the warm, friendly atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend.

The food is very authentic to the food back in Detroit. I swear, I we be there as a regular for now on it's so damn good; the Big Chef was great a little too greasy but I still enjoy it. Don't even get me started on the Coney Dog; I don't even like mustard or chili but when I got to Cloo's Coney or any other Coney I'll tear it up. The employee make you feel like family and just gets to keep coming back, next payday I know where I'm going.
What a heavenly place on NC Sate campus. Took me back to Detroit, in a good way. Thank you!!!
Im there about every 3 days lol. The food is outstanding and the owners Dan and Mark, along with the other employees are some of the nicest people i kno. Always up for a few laughs. If u are feeling brave upon arrival ask for a sample of mark's secret hot sauce......u won't regret it. This place feels like home and is definitely a 5 outta 5������

First time here and have to say, delicious food! I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was delicious!! Definitely going to try the hotdogs next visit :)

I prefer the Chicago dog and chili cheese fries. If I'm really hungry I'll add a slider too.
If they're busy, which is much of the time, it does take some time to get your food so be patient. The finished product is worth the wait!
Very cool atmosphere. I was exploring around town and walked in on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place was cozy with a pinball machine. I ordered a BLT and it was pretty average. I knocked down a star because it came out pretty burned, and the bread was much too drying. Overall I would visit again for the atmosphere and friendly staff. Just order something else.
This place refuses to change and I LOVE IT!!. Been coming here since I was a teenager and they NEVER seem to disappoint. The food is made to order, the fries are always fresh and hot out the grease. My eyes are bigger than my stomach and I order 2 and never finish the 2nd one. The hotdogs are All Beef and have a snap when you bite into them. I've moved out of the area but I make sure to visit anytime I'm in the vicinity.
Authentic taste of Michigan Coney in Raleigh! I grew up in Detroit and this was so fun to have a taste of home.
Despite the retro ambience, the service is modern, efficient and always with a smile. Prices are reasonable for exceptional quality. The burgers and hot dogs are delicious! If you're looking for a place that combines tradition and taste, Cloos' Coney Island is your destination of choice. It's one of my favorite places in Raleigh.
I always liked this place, been coming here and there for a long time, I recommended this place to my job today and they bought food for everyone, we noticed they forgot a slider burger when we brought the food back. It's okay but we still gave you guys five stars because the hot dogs, burgers and fries were pretty good.we know it was a honest mistake, The workers are always nice and the customer service is always excellent. The food is always good. Don't go here if you're in a hurry or broke. I hear it's pretty authentic to the Detroit Coney experience. But in my opinion, the food is very overpriced. Lunch for 2 runs about $40. That's hot dogs, burgers, and fries.
As a Chicago native, I have to say the Chicago dog is SPOT on 😍 it’s been years since I’ve tasted a hotdog this good! My fiancé and I adore this place. The gyro; phillys and sliders are also amazing & our toddler is OBSESSED with the fries 😊 Definitely try them out if you haven’t!
Whewwww. I went to Michigan without going to Michigan. Topical Sausage Dog with the works. I love experiencing new foods being a native North Carolinian. Thanks for choosing this location. Hope to stop by again. Yummy 😋
The French fries were perfectly crisp and served HOT! The slider was juicy, messy and everything you could ask for. Good spot for a quick lunch. They do have lighter options as well on the menu.
As relocated Michigander, I can vouch for Cloos. It's actually one of the best tasting Coney islands I've ever been to. It's amazing to get to eat such good Coney's here in NC. If you are craving an amazing, classic dog, go here. And their fries are perfect too!

Had not been here since college, aka decades ago. Very nice people. Very easy order process. Dogs have an incredible snap to them. Fries are awesome. Like the chili, slaw, mustard dog.
I always enjoy eating at Cloos!! Super yummy hot dogs and French fries. Plus they have what I call the “good ice” (best flaky crushed ice) for your drinks. Awesome staff!! 😀♥️

I've been visiting this location for almost 7 years now. Absolutely pinnacle of flat top burgers and dogs. The cheese steak is one of my local favorites and frankly any place I eat at is measured against this places food. Top notch and worth the wait for the food, cuz it can get super busy.. hats off to the owner!
