By far the most amazing diner food and experience I have ever had! The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was as nice as could be. I can not recommend this place enough !

Only had about a five minute wait to be seated. The service was very good and the food even better! My husband had a grilled chicken, cheese with mushroom sandwich and I had an open faced pot roast sandwich. Have to say, I wasn't expecting it to be a stew sandwich( carrots, celery and potatoes along with the meat), but just the pot roast on the bread. Was delicious, none the less!

Nothing like going to the diner having breakfast for dinner. Quaint place, good food, friendly service . Not a rushed feeling. I will definitely be back

We drove in from Virginia for the day and found this diner online before we left. It was well worth the stop. Loved the atmosphere and the food. Will come back again when we are in the Raleigh area.

Stopped in after a long bus ride and had a long leisurely breakfast. Gypsy's has a solid standard diner menu and friendly, fast service. Special thanks to waitress Cheryl for being so attentive and accommodating!

I sat at the bar and the waitress was very attentive. Ordered the country ham and eggs, Delish. The ham was served on its own plate and was huge, a very pleasant surprise. Nice Saturday experience.

I’ve loved The Shiny Diner since it came to Cary years ago. They have a great variety of delicious food, their prices are very reasonable, the staff is so nice and helpful, and I love playing the old tunes on the jukebox. So much fun! I usually get breakfast types of meals for brunches when I visit but I have had other items on the menu and they’ve all been delicious! The Shiny Diner Is the perfect place to bring the family or catch up with friends.

Everything was phenomenal. I had a burger and it was one of the best burgers i have ever had. They had a juke box that had some awesome classics on it. My waitress was helpful, kind and super friendly. I even got to chat with another table. It was a great time. I highly recommend it.

1st time going here. Parking lot is small. Inside is small. We weren't greeted upon entering, even though the entrance threshold is mad small. There was a sign up that says text a number & that's what put us on the waiting list. We walked over to REI, for about 10 min before getting a text that our table was ready. Our waitress was ok. The tea and food was good. Wasn't a fan of the presentation of the Oreo pancakes. The waitress initially forgot to make them "Oreo", took the plate then came back with the pic, just crushed Oreos on top of the pancakes, idk if that's how they would've came if they were made right to begin with or if the Oreos were supposed to be inside but blah. But everything was delicious & the portion size is worth the money. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend.

We had a great time at the diner! I enjoyed the house chips a lot. The menu had a a good amount of options, and we enjoyed the two plates that we ordered: WHOA waffle sandwich and Ruth’s Ruben. The staff was very friendly, and the seats were comfortable where we enjoyed our early lunch together. We’ll be back when we are in the area.

I had breakfast from The Shiny Diner a number of times, but today was a hot dog day. Solid foot long dog with chili, onions, slaw and mustard. Fries were decent. This meal wasn't on par with their superb breakfast offerings, but very solid.

NJ native who appreciates diner food and was not disappointed! The service was friendly, coffee was fresh, BLT and pot roast were traditional-diner-perfect, and next time, we'll save room for pie. A friend recommended this place, and we drive far to try it. Will go again!

It was packed over the weekend and glad I waited. They had a sign inside with a number to text your name and party size. There is a bar but way too many people were standing in the doorway waiting so we opted for a table. Ten mins later we sat and another ten to order. Got a carafe of coffee and we were good to go. The Big IMP Omelette is cheesy, has a pound of bacon, sausage and ham, but it wasn't greasy. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well and crunchy. The rye toast was buttered generously and probably my favorite part about the meal. From what I saw coming out of the kitchen, the chicken and waffles or the French toast are in line for the next visit. Can't wait to try dinner!

This was our first time here for me and my husband. It certainly will not be our last time visiting The Shiny Diner. We're originally from the diner capital, NJ. This spot is authentic. The menu options are great. The food and atmosphere are great. Michele is great. Thanks for giving us a great experience! 😁👍🏾

This place was super cute my son loved it. 5 stars because wow! Went out with the family after taking a hard exam. After we were done eating my son expressed that he felt sick… (didn’t eat that morning, and ate to quickly) not even 10 seconds later.. boom.. threw up in the middle of the entry way.. I ran him outside and a waitress came to check on him, brought him napkins, water and crackers… cleaned up his mess and still making sure he was alright. Obviously I felt terrible but she was just so amazing. I feel like I wouldn’t get that experience anywhere else! I didn’t grab her name but she had the cutest popcorn chain (think it was for hand sanitizer). Thank you so much!

In town from Cincinnati and found this little gem that was everything I was expecting out of a diner like this. The menu is huge and full of variety. The waitress was friendly as can be, managing to hold conversations and get a ton of work at the same time. The food was great, especially the home made chips. I couldn’t get enough of those!!!

Absolutely wonderful! Grandpa Marvin steak and mashed potatoes were perfect. Had the strawberry cake today and wasn’t disappointed. Price was so fair. $14 for a delicious meal. Family friendly, happy vibes.

It was a cold Saturday Morning in the middle of December. We were craving some breakfast, and I needed some hashbrowns. Upon some research we decided to check this spot out. They had plenty of parking upon arrival. There was quite of a bit of people inside and some waiting outside. We put our name on the list. And waited 20 minutes. Then we realized you could just sit at the counter without waiting in line. They didn’t tell us that which seems a little stupid to not tell guests this. The food itself was very good and typical diner food. The toast and hashbrowns were a little underwhelming and burnt, but the biscuits and gravy are next level. We would definitely go back here. But hot tip, just sit at the bar if only 2 of you and avoid waiting in line.

Shiny Diner is a hidden gem that should not be missed! My lazy Saturday morning was made even better by the fantastic late breakfast I had here. The Elvis tunes playing in the background created a fun and lively atmosphere, and sitting at the counter made me feel like a regular. I was impressed by the excellent service provided by the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure that my coffee cup was never empty. The food was even better! I ordered the classic breakfast platter, and it was cooked to perfection. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon crispy, and the pancakes melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It's hard to believe that we haven't been to Shiny Diner in years, but I'm so glad that we rediscovered it. The quality of the food and service is outstanding, and the prices are very reasonable. It's the perfect spot for a lazy weekend morning. Highly recommend!
