I found the food to be very high-quality, and really like the option to get vegetables instead of rice and beans. The price was amazing! The restaurant has a very cool interior look, and the location off of the pond with a fountain is very relaxing.
Nice restaurant. Server not impressed with the service. She forgot to put order in 2x and abandoned our table. When the order finally went in, food came out faster than the appetizers. I order the chicken and beef burritos very satisfying. The mozzarella sticks were hot on the outside but cold on the inside. The steak was delicious with5 the refried beans. The homemade guacamole was undesirable in presentation and taste.
Had a family dinner here tonight. All together, it's not a bad experience. The place wasn't too crowded, and we didn't have to wait too long for the food, though there was a gap in timing between my order and my child's order coming out. Food is reasonably priced for what you get, and it was made as ordered.
We love this place! The food is amazing and the service is very good too. We have been loyal customers since 2019 and we love it here. I ordered pollo la paz and it was just perfection, my husband ordered carne asada and the only thing he would add is avocado to it but it was good too, the chips and cheese dip is the perfect duo. Our server Cristian was amazing, she was very friendly and professional. 10/10

Being from Texas, I’m more than a little snobby about my TexMex. What a yummy find this was.
A large group decided to eat after church and they got us in right away. Chips and salsa were yummy, portions were massive and service was great.
Even though we had the fire alarm go off-not our restaurant, the ice cream shop, they were efficient and helpful.
Had lunch today at San Jose, and it was delightful! Wonderful to find decent Tex-Mex in this section of Raleigh.
Don't hesitate to get the lunch plates: they're gigantic! The chips and salsa were flavorful and my grandson (only 3 years old) couldn't get enough of the crunch! He liked his chicken tenders, too.
I had the burrito bowl and it was more than I could have possibly eaten in one sitting. My daughters were impressed with their choices, too. I'm sure we will go there again!
I love the food. Their presentation of food and drinks is always beautiful and makes you want to eat more. Only pic I took because I was very hungry lol.
Mexican food was not my favorite....UNTIL I ate here!! VERY different, not the usual..... extremely good,, very healthy, waiters go out of way to provide service and make sure you have any extras needed. The decor is very open, contemporary.......my second time here in two days. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
San Jose is reasonably priced and solid choice for Mexican food. I always get the ACP with fajita veggies and it only costs 12$. There salsa is not too spicy and solid chips. If you’re doing your shopping in the area easy to stop in for lunch or dinner. You can sit outside when weather is nice in spring or summer
Overall the experience was good due to good food, great service, and great value. The hostess sat us immediately near the bar with multiple TVs. The waitress gave great service getting our drinks and order completed quickly. We enjoyed the salsa and ordered enchiladas. I had the chipotle enchiladas and would recommend them for those who like spicy at 2/10. The food was easy on the palate, not too extreme in either salt or spiciness. I would have preferred a little less rice and beans and a little more meat, but the value was absolutely there for a full meal under $10.
We had an excellent experience at San Jose Mexican Restaurant today. Staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating capacity.
I ordered the Fajita Burrito with Steak, lunch size, today and it was great. The meat was perfectly cooked. It was also in nice, bite size pieces which really added to the flavor. My wife got the Fiesta Chicken Salad and it was also delicious. I couldn't believe how much chicken was served with the salad.
We will definitely be back.
I like this place, is this a Mexican food restaurant yeah I have wonderful place outside near a lake with a fountain. We Order fajitas with beef I like it
Carben (spelling might be wrong) was amazing. The point from when we got seated (which took awhile for the host to find a spot) to get a server took a bit, but after they took our order our food came out super quick and it was all hot and delicious!!!!!
This was my second visit here. Got the fish tacos and was very pleased. This establishment is one of the more expensive choices for Mexican food in the area but the portions and the flavor make this place a place you'll visit again and again.
I had never been to this place, but it was a pleasant surprise! We ordered off the lunch menu and so the prices were very reasonable. The large margarita was on special for $8.00 and it was nice and strong. Not too strong but just enough for the lunch time hour. Almost everything on the lunch menu was about $7 or $8 bucks. The place was very clean, service was fast and the food was Very tasty! The bathrooms were very clean and there was warm running water in the bathroom. :)
I ordered chimichanga which came with rice and beans. One of the other pictures is a Fiesta Salad with pineapples and mangoes. Another picture is a pork and pineapple enchilada and last but not least is the chicken burritos topped with lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. All my teammates said everything was good! The menu was very colorful and there were vegan options and I believe gluten free as well.
Perfection and clean. Meal was seasoned perfectly the drink smooth. Texas fajita steak chicken and shrimp. And raspberry mango margarita. Delicious. I never had to look for waitress she was checking on my and making sure I was taken care of. Great place for dates or family outings large enough to accommodate bus tour group. Clean bathrooms.
