Hey y’all
I'm a big fan of Mexican food, and I've been to my fair share of Mexican restaurants. But I have to say, this place is one of the best I've ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is festive and fun.
I started with my usual, a margarita! They have an impressive selection of flavors and combinations available frozen or on the rocks. I get a different one every time and have never been disappointed.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Mexican dining experience. It's definitely worth a visit!
Good prices on the food. You get more than enough on your plate. Food well seasoned with fresh bottle of hot sauce. Will be back!
I always enjoy going to El Tap! My favorite is the Liquid Marijuana drink. The food.is always delicious and the service.is always great. Will continue to visit this restaurant!!!
Got take out, wait was not too long. Service and price was great. Got the enchiladas, tacos, and nachos.

First time here. Stopped in for a late lunch with my mother and her friend. Server was very pleasant and attentive. Decided to try something I wouldn't normally get (spinach & chicken enchiladas) and was so happy it was so delicious. I ate every bite!
Although, the following may sound weird, I have to say, their ice water tasted like they got it from an alpine spring outside. 😀

Lunch chicken and spinach enchiladas were really good.
This place is always busy. Trust me I have learned my lesson when a restaurant does not have customers. I have never eaten in, but always get take out and it's always good. It's a good value for your money. And I love the guacamole.
Truly authentic Mexican food. For some reason all the best, most authentic food is located in a strip mall. I decided go for the if the best steak tacos I've had in a while. The foods were spiced perfectly and everything appears to be fresh.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating with most people choosing to eat indoors.
The wait staff was excellent and had a good grasp of the ingredients in each dish which helped with food allergies.
I'll gladly stop in again.

I've been ordering all throughout this quarantine/COVID-19 period from El Tapatio through GrubHub and Door Dash, and tonight I took my daughter and best friend to eat there. I'm happy to say that we were able to eat outside, social distancing with no one around us. There were people inside as well, but we had the option to eat safely because there were many tables outside. Maria was a wonderful waitress...very patient and kind. The food is excellent! That's all I can say.
Holy guacamole! They make your guacamole table side! The food is very good. I recommend the chicken with spinach. The spinach bacon cheese sauce on top is so good. My husband loved his Chori-Pollo entree. Oh, and you can't beat their daily specials on food and drinks. Last night $6.50 for frozen Blue Margarita and $4 Dos Equis. You have got to experience this regional chain. We absolutely love all the locations....New Bern Ave and Falls of Neuse in Raleigh and the Rocky Mount location too! All very friendly and delicious!
Good food .10/10. service 3/10. What I saw with my eyes was not funny…. An observation for the owners of the restaurant while I was eating, I had to see how a couple of waiter and waitress showed affection to each other and “this is supposed to be a family restaurant” we took the children to eat not so they can see that type of show that employees do:(
I usually don't have any issues on any occasion that I have dined here. Food and margaritas are always excellent. You should also try the chicken tortilla soup! Very good yesterday!

It is a cute restaurant. The complementary salsa that come with the chips is amazing. The home made guacamole dip was really good. They make it when u order it. The food was good. Service was good. Nothing really spectacular. I would go again.
The nighttime atmosphere is much better, in my opinion. But I have only been twice. One time during the day and one time at night. Will be going back definitely...the food is good and the prices are too.
