I had an extraordinary dining experience at Sushi Mon. The sushi was not just good; it surpassed the average sushi you'd find elsewhere. The attention to detail on my plate was truly remarkable, making it a gourmet experience. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment, and the staff's friendliness was exceptional. This place is a hidden gem with a low-key vibe and a beautiful interior. If you are a sushi lover you will not be disappointed!

They don't do reservations so it's first come, first serve. You can put your name on the waitlist online so, if you time it right, you won't have to wait for too long. They serve delicious cuts of fish and their food presentation is excellent.

This place is a true gem. Limited seating with a sophisticated atmosphere. The sushi is beyond fresh and above any I’ve experienced in the area so far. It appears to attract many businessmen due to the location and the others tend to wear something a little nicer when coming here. I highly recommend a reservation or arriving early, it’s so worth it. If you want to make an impression for a meeting, date, or special occasion, look no further. All I can say is, if you want fantastic sushi, make your way here asap!

Every time I’m in Raleigh this is my go-to sushi place wonderful fresh food, clean environment, and friendly staff. This restaurant never disappoints great spot for lunch or dinner. Also desert is delicious as well. Service is always spot on and even the nice landscape on the way in from the parking garage is beautiful makes you feel like your not just at lunch.

14 piece sashimi plate and the ikura/uni special are my favorite things to order here. Amazing fish quality. The miso Cod was also amazing, but, I forgot to take a photo before we dug in! So good.

The best sushi in Raleigh! We have gone here about 5-6 times and always look forward to going back. The ambiance is fantastic and the service is always great. We always get the donburi, kiss of fire, truffle tuna, and the rainbow roll. I recommend everything on that list!

The sushi chef kept serving up some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly. It’s all incredibly well-priced too; Im surprised considering the top-notch quality and presentation. The aesthetic & ambiance was very cool. It has a Japanese modern feel. Would be great for a date because of the intimate atmosphere. All of the staff was very kind and our server Eric was great, I recommend him highly. Overall 5/5. I definitely plan to come back.

I’ve been here quite of few times. I’m quite particular about my sushi (since I come from a big city by the ocean). I LOVE this place. It doesn’t take reservations and is quaint but so worth it. The pricing is also fair for the quality of food. Granted, when I go I order a ton of dishes for myself and the table for all of us to share (hence the price breakdown I provided per person). If you’re looking for nice, delicious, quaint spot for sushi then look no further!!!

100% a must eat in the area, so happy to find this place, the food was fresh and tasty and highly recommended the Nigiri Omakase. The best Japanese food in Raleigh, but miss the uni only available on weekends.

This hidden gem serves up dishes that are 🔥🔥🔥! My nigiri was butter in my mouth and the rolls here are super unique. Very different from most upscale sushi spots. My colleague got the teriyaki chicken and it’s got to be one of the best I’ve had. I ❤️❤️❤️ how they served it with a roasted garlic bulb and the chicken was fried. So good. Definitely going to be coming back to try the full menu and add Sushi Mon to my rotation of sushi spots.

Great lunch spot! The chicken teriyaki was different than any I've had before. Very crispy and not drenched in syrupy sauce. The truffle tuna roll was assembled perfectly and everything was fresh. Their salad is more upscale than any sushi place I have been, very good.

Nice quality food. The space was small, so I had to wait for 30 min to get a table. The service was okay… could have been better.

Impressive sushi! Their sashimi are very fresh and fatty😍. Highly recommend the sashimi plate. We also love their hot dishes - we tried donburl, udo and pork belly. Donburl is very creative - love the combinations of taste in it. Udo is very nice as well - I am not a big fan of udo in generally but sushimon’s udo is pretty good. Pork belly also has that ‘melt in your month’ kind of texture. Chirashi is like a poke bowl with sashimi that is so colorful and pleasing to look at for a very good price. The miso soup is creative too - I like the freshness of salmon in it. Overall probably the best sushi in the area (my opinion)

Some of the best sushi I've had in the Raleigh area. The sushi is fresh and high quality. Great modern atmosphere but the dining room is small so you might have to wait a bit when it gets busy.

We were in the mood for sushi on a cold Saturday night. Had been to most other sushi spots in Raleigh. We landed on this gem. It is in a interesting location, a business district. Inside it is one of the trendiest sushi spots I’ve seen, feels like a sushi spot in Manhattan. Great selection of sushi, hot plates and drinks. Very good service and ambience. The best sushi I think I have had in Raleigh. Perfect for a date night

Eric D. was a great server. The food and service were excellent. It's a small venue with only 20 seats plus the sushi bar and a few tables just outside the restaurant. The food quality is the best I've had. Eric D provided GREAT service and recommendations. This is a great date night spot/hidden jem.

My wife and I gave them 5 stars due to our server (Skylar (you were amazing and NEED A RAISE 😉😊))!. However, I think it's a solid 4 - 4.5 as I'm an extremely tough grader after not only managing FOH and BOH restaurant operations for 20 years but, also dining internationally on many occasions over the years. The only not so positive thing we experienced was a server that was there on 4/28 who got us confused with his other tables ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS (which must be really hard to do provided the smaller, more personalized, quaint space) which was a little concerning.. I personally would have let him go after his shift for that.. At any rate, we ordered the Miso soup comprised of a mushrooms, fish, and cabbage with a delicious umami miso broth as well as a warm house sake as a starter. They were not only delicious, but they both really set the mood for what was to come. We then moved into the Unagi and Rainbow Special Rolls, which were also delectable! From there, we had the 14 piece "Chef's choice" Sashimi platter 🤤🤩. There was an item or two we don't typically prefer, and Skylar was happy to accommodate (we wish you could be our server/ waitress everywhere we go)! It included some of the best Mackerel I ever had (I have been to almost every sushi/ sashimi restauant in Raleigh, Durham, and RTP, NC as well as South FL), flame brazed SeaBream, King Salmon, Amber Jack, SeaBream Belly, O-Toro/ Fatty Tuna Belly, and Sweet Hokkaido Diver Scallops!! They also gave us free Tamago as a dessert! We Tipped the Sushi staff $20, and also tipped our waitress $25 on $100 so don't go here if want to be cheap!
