The location and barista were excellent. My cinnamon roll was tasty, and my coffee was good, but not great. The coffee is the only reason I took off a star, and in all reality it would be half a star but Google doesn’t have that option. The drink was good, it just wasn’t well made and that’s my only complaint. The barista was very friendly and greeted everyone with a ln enthusiastic welcome when they entered. Overall a great experience and worth a visit.

This place was awesome. My wife and I popped in for an after dinner espresso and it was DELICIOUS! It was the perfect temperature and it was served with a small side of sparkling water. Not to mention the atmosphere in the store is smooth like butter. They have bar seating inside and a couple tables and chairs to sit curbside. We will be back.

This coffee shop is located right on the corner of the iconic Moore street Park. It’s not just a coffee shop just look at the menu to see the offerings are varied, you can if you want indulge in wines etc. The shop is on the corner, it’s reasonably sized with tasteful decorated, it offers its own brand coffee and other branded coffee products, was served by a helpful and friendly server who knows her stuff The snacks are inviting, which one should one chose, my choice was the coffee cake which was slightly warmed for me, along with the cappuccino, my afternoon moment was complete .

Lovely corner for people watching. Outside seating available. Ample inside seating for intimate conversations as well as communal experience. Good Americano coffee, great selection of teas including herbal, served iced or hot. Nice counter display adds to the flow of the store. Bathrooms for patrons only.

The lady who prepared our lattes this morning was extremely sweet and went out of her way to make sure that our lattes were exactly how we wanted. The house made caramel and pumpkin sauce is a must. We appreciate the local hospitality. We are already looking forward to returning the next time that we are home!

As a lover of good coffee and local businesses, this is now my favorite coffee shop. They have good music, Raleigh roasted beans, fresh tasting espresso, perfect cheese danishes, my lord there is nothing wrong with this place. It has a very modern yet rustic atmosphere. I would highly recommend for dates and as a place to study.

Great flavor of coffee and Mexican coffee. Also, I had the pecan croissant and it was so delightful. It was wet it a good way and not overly sweet. Next time I’ll be back for the coffee flight. it’s a great idea.

Great service and great coffee. We had Vanila iced latte and Chai latte. It says Larry’s coffee so not sure why it is named differently on google.

I really am trying to throw this place more in rotation. I'm loyal to Morning Times but since it's so popular I go to 42&Lawrence when the line is long at MT. So my hesitation with this place is the harsh overwhelming cleaning product smell. It's a cheap cleaner like fabuloso that resonates through the space. It even over powers a strong odor like coffee. The baked goods could be made fresh in house but unfortunately it's cased products warmed in a microwave oven. The drink selection is standard. Nothing particularly special nor unique. There's also overwhelming amount of product at the front shelves giving a little bit of messy and disheveled look to a otherwise sophisticated space. I think service is nice and polite. Overall, a good place for a quick coffee when the other coffee places have long lines.

My wife and I got to have coffee here when we visited Raleigh. This place is great and the people were very friendly. The only thing is it was a little pricey. My wife got the Hazelnut Latte and I got the Chai Tea Latte. It was very delicious!

Best mocha in Raleigh - hot or iced! It’s all I drink and I’ve had them everywhere. Try the Milky Way, it’s an *amazing* caramel mocha. Christina makes them the best! Their cold brews are also great, I can’t recommend this place more

A friend recommended 42 and Lawrence. I went for the first time, yesterday, and it was an amazing experience. I had a Lavender Rose Vanilla Latte and it was amazing. It was a welcoming place and the staff was awesome. I would highly recommend this place if you just want to sit down and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Having lived in Seattle for a while, I've seen quite a few creative takes on coffee. 42 & Lawrence has those other places beat! I tried the Peach Tango with cold brew, peach puree, and some sparkling drink (tonic?). Genius! Perfect for the sweltering afternoon in Raleigh, tasty and unique! This and wonderful service and cosy bright cafe environment. Will return if I'm ever in the area!!

I'M IN LOVE! This was my first time here, but will not be my last. I had a Black &Tan that was delicious, along with a lovely pull apart cinninamon bit of decadence that was not overly sweet and paired perfectly. I also loved how elegant and clean everything was. So many coffee shops look like they don't know how to use a broom. This one looks ready for inspection! The service was top notch. I've found my new favorite downtown coffee shop.

Named for a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference (and for local roaster Larry Larson), it is perhaps somewhat fitting that this gem of a coffee shop has become our annual post-GalaxyCon caffeinate-and-cool off destination. While it boasts a sleek modern ambiance and welcoming staff, the biggest draw can be summed up in two words: coffee flights. With options including nitro cold brews, draft lattes, and more, this is a great way to sample a bit of everything and still get your caffeine fix. They are my wife’s go-to order while I usually opt for one of the seasonal drinks. The orange creamsicle I tried during our most recent visit isn’t something I would repeat, but I do credit them for trying out a variety of syrups and flavors. There are plenty of coffee shops in Downtown Raleigh, but if you can abide by the limited seating, 42 and Lawrence offers all the strong coffee, inventive flavorings, and charm that you need.

This is a cute little shop. The service was top notch! We got two cold brews and a matcha. All three drinks were good but not great. We would’ve left five stars for atmosphere because it was such a great space, but we struggled with gnats horribly bad. We were going to stay and read but had to leave because the gnats were so bad.
