'Mean Kine Grindz!' Been craving poké since leaving Maui & I FINALLY got my fix. Not only do they have a real Hawaiian working there(Kelsey), the rest of the staff was very knowledgable, helpful, & friendly, letting me sample before I chose my order. I specifically loved the scallops & spicy Ahí and the seaweed salad & edamame were also a refreshing & tasty treat. Anybody body that enjoys sushi locally could <3 this place. I'll definitely be back soon. 'Broke da Mouth'! Aloha! =^D

So glad to have this locally! The salmon and tuna was very fresh and so were the toppings. Loved every bite. Can’t wait to try different sauce combo next time!

This place is an Asian version of Chipotle. With a very modern decor, the staff was very helpful in explaining how things work here. I made myself a veggie bowl and the toppings along with the sauces were simply great. I loved the wasabi shoyku , sweet chilli sauce and chipotle mayo. The toppings were great and added a nice crunch to the overall bowl. Yelp check-in gave me a free Miso soup which made the meal complete. A new concept in a great location. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Asian food and flavors

Food was great and service was exceptional! When I told Alex that I had been looking forward to poke for months while I was pregnant he made suggestions for what I would like and since it was my first visit here he included a free drink and mochi. He really went above and beyond to create a good experience. Thank you 😍

This is my second time visiting Poke Bar. The ingredients are good, excellent service with well served food. A good combinations for people staying healthy. If they put up a recommended options, It should help alot of people who came in here for the first time. It is a great place to be well and healthy^^ Try it out! I bet you'll love it! (Just pick what you want. I picked mine:)

Came here after a midwife appointment and had lunch with my baby boy. I love how simple it is to order and how fresh the selection is. Being Hawaiian, we love a good poke bowl and this did not disappoint to be right in the middle of the busy campus area. I enjoy the ordering set up and the friendliness of the workers. The different sauce toppings are yummy and the portions are plenty. Worth a try if you’re in the area and enjoy poke!

Poke is still a new food concept for most North Carolinians. A poke bowl is raw fish over rice. Many reviewers refer to it as Asian or Japanese food and, yes, it does seem like a new spin on sushi as many of the ingredients are the same, but I learned it's actually a Hawaiian cuisine. I guess the food here at Poke Bar is like a sushi and poke mash-up. They have an easy to understand menu online. The food is very very flavorful. You choose your type of rice, proteins, mix ins (they have green onion, cucumber, kale, etc), sauce (this is what really packs the flavor), sides (crab, seaweed, cucumber salad), and finally toppings (such as masago, avocado, crispy onions, etc). I wouldn't recommend getting the slice of avocado though... it costs extra and, in my opinion, is too small for the price. How many of each you get depends on the size you purchase. It's all just loose together in a plastic bowl. Sometimes the workers will automatically mix everything together, other times they've asked first. Parking here is terrible. The location is directly on busy Hillsborough St across from NCSU's campus. Most of their customers are probably NCSU students and staff that walk over. Depending on the time of day and if it's a weekday vs weekend you may have to pay-to-park. The lot next door is for the Wells Fargo Bank. You'll be lucky to find a parallel spot open on the street. I do dislike how wasteful their process seems to be. For mixing your food they use a paperboard bowl that they'll throw away after dumping the food into a plastic container that you will eat out of and probably throw away. So not the most environmentally-friendly.

This is a very good imitation of poke. The fish just can't be as fresh as the West coast. But I'll go again just to get close to what I had in Hawaii.

My new favorite place. Food was delicious, honestly better than a lot of sit-down sushi restaurants. Good selection and incredible value for the price. The menu on Postmates doesn’t list salmon, but they do have it! Staff was nice too. Will definitely be going back.

I got the small and it was filling and a good size. The fish tasted good and since I wasn't sure about what sauce to get, I just asked the staff member to give me what they recommended and it was yummy! All of the staff were really nice and helpful. There are a variety of toppings to get (no extra charge) and a variety of sides (you pick two and they give you a lot). The interior is clean simple. Seems like a nice place to get lunch and do some homework. I hope this place sticks around!

I went to Poke Bar on a Thurs afternoon after work. I discovered this restaurant chain when I was in Atlanta but never tried the food. This was my first time. I absolutely enjoyed my experience. The fish was fresh. The seaweed & other veggies were very tasty & fresh. The portion was very fulfilling. I had a medium bowl w a drink and it was adequate for a dinner. One thing that pushed me to rate a 5 was the tastiness of the sauces, absolutely addictive.

Relatively inexpensive, helpful staff and great food. Its easily accessible from the street and its food is fresh. Fountain drinks are offered. There are different sized bowls and a great variety of sides to choose from. Would definitely reccomend. On States Campus so expect college kids.

Never been a huge fan of Poke but this place is great. All the ingredients go well together and are all very fresh and healthy. Unlimited toppings which is great. I never get a side bcause there are only 3 options and none of them appeal to me so I hope to see more options one day. Overall a great place to eat.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, really top notch. As for the poke itself, I've had better, much better. IMO, it was mediocre but I couldn't put my finger on why exactly. It was fine, not sketchy in the least, but it was fairly unremarkable. But I'm glad a poke place is near NCSU, it needed something like that.

This was the first time I had ever went to a Poke place. I got the large bowl and I was so full and happy afterwards. The gentleman preparing my food was so nice and accommodating on all my requests. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area again.

I liked my food. Gluten free options were marked well on the menu. The service was slow due to new employee training. But the toppings and ingredients were all on point for freshness.
