Food is always good here. Portion is acceptable, wish that the Connecticut roll wasn’t room temperature when served.
Staffs could have wiped off the crud on the table so it would be cleaner.
This was my first time eating at this establishment. The cashier was friendly. I ordered the Connecticut roll. I absolutely loved the warm buttered, toasted bread it came on. It was good, however I am.used to the lobster overflowing out the roll. This was just enough to fill it. I also ordered a side of tots. I believe they need to change their tots. Mine were very greasy and didn't have any flavor. I ate one and gave the rest to one of God's creatures. I hope whatever ate the tots didn't get indigestion. The restroom and restaurant were clean. I might visit again if I'm in the area
Someone told my husband about this place so we decided to drive to Raleigh to try it out. The lobster rolls were absolutely delicious. I would give the Lobster Bisque and the New England clam chowder a four out of five. We will come back again.
I've had this place on my "Want to Go" list, only because I live so far away from both locations. It so happened that I was in the area yesterday and decided to try, knowing the price was out of the ballpark, lol. 1. It was a little roll on a single, buttered Texas toast. 2. It was generously loaded with flavorful lobster chunks. All in all, I am glad I knocked that one off my list. It was delicious and I saved half of my little roll for my little 8 year old boy because he loves seafood and keeps asking for lobster and shrimp. He approved of this delicious lobster roll. I might try again when the price fluctuates and I'm in the area...or may just get it again at whatever price it is because it was yummy. My total was $25, YIKES! But I know cost of everything has risen and we can't get mad at the restaurant owners for that. They also have families that they need to make money for. That's the only reason I took away one ⭐ star, but other than that...it was very delicious.
Very attentive and helpful staff. Tasty lobster menu items. Would love a few more combo items or the option for a fountain drink. However the beverages they do have are nice and a bit of a treat.
This isn't the northeast, you're going to play a premium for lobster but at least it's delicious!
Mason's does not disappoint with the taste and quality of their lobster rolls. That said, you'll pay over $30 for a lobster roll, chips, and bottled drink. The woman working the day I was there was friendly and down to earth. If you gotta have a lobster roll in Raleigh, this is the place to get it quickly. If you're looking for ambiance and a fancy meal... well, there are other restaurants in the Triangle.
Got the warm classic lobster roll, not bad forgot the seasoned butter for dipping that would have taken it to another level. Portion wise decent but still $20. Good still kinda pricey.
The Connecticut was amazing and that buttered bread was so good. I wish prices for lobster meat weren't so high or I would come in more often. Nice staff too.
Yummy Lobster roll and bisque, but you must purchase Lobster to put in your Lobster bisque. What??!!
Need better ventilation in the restaurant. We came out smelling of smoke and burning oil.
The servers kept putting is gloved hands in his pant pockets defeating the purpose of the gloves!
This was really delicious. I had the Bar Harbor styler CT roll with the clam chowder. Definitely among my favorite chowders I've had. The lady at the counter was fantastic and cheerful! I'll definitely come back.
