Had Oak City's delightful fry-up of fish, shrimp and fries for the first time today. First of all, the service was excellent! The guys who work behind the counter are so friendly despite spending hours working in the sweltering summer heat. The food is genuinely satisfying, and the portions are exactly what you'd expect from the price. Highly recommend!
Oak City Fish and Chips truck came to our apartment complex and I must say that they exceeded our expectations. The fish was fresh and very tasty, the shrimp amazing and the seasoning was exactly as I like it, a little spicy. Thank you guys and keep up the good work!

A few women at the hair salon were raving about oak city fish and chips! I personally have yet to taste, but based on all of the excitement around me it makes me excited for the upcoming experience. The ladies were especially glad to hear there was a restaurant under development and not just a food truck they had to track down. I went to the food truck rodeo just to taste the food but He wasnāt there! Hopefully the truck will be at the June event!! More to come...
I thought it was seasoned very well and the portion size, even for the small, was great! The fries that it came with were like no other!
Delicious!! Seasoned just right. And enough shrimp and fish to take home. Hopefully they'll come again to the Food Truck Rodeo in Ogden Park.

I had an awesome experience with Yoda yesterday! Yoda gave excellent customer service and my food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The calamari is my favorite and I will definitely be back. Thank you Yoda for an awesome first time experience with Oak City Fish & Chips!

Really accommodating! Kids meal with no seasoning and adult meal w minimum fries! I love an experience that makes my requests seem like no big deal. Fish was seasoned perfectly, shrimp was very tender all in all great experience.

This truck comes to my job once a week at lunch. I've had it twice and both times were amazing! The portions are good and the food is seasoned to perfection. To top it off, both times the customer service experience was great! Rob & Yodi are the sweetest! I will surely be back!

This was my first time ever at the Morgan Street Food Hall, and baby I am HOOKED on Oak City Fish and Chips. First and foremost it's a black owned business whose staff is extremely warm and welcoming. Secondly, the prices are extremely reasonable and the fish portions (which is whiting..my favorite) are HUGE. Lastly, the seasoning is unlike any other. I ordered the fish basket (which comes w/fries) and a side order of brown sugar hush puppies and by the end of my meal I was literally licking all 5 of my fingers. Whatever seasoning is being used is definitely custom made because the FOODšš½WASšš½FULLšš½OFšš½FLAVORā¼ļø I definitely recommend this place and give it a 15 out of 10.

If your craving some flavorful and seasoned how fish n chips should be then come here ! I came to the food hall craving only to leave happy with some fish n chips . Hush puppies balance flavors . Best hush puppy Iāve had and corn brightens the dish . Good price per serving too.
The BEST calamari I've ever eaten. The breading is so well seasoned and delicious. the hot sauce is really good mixed with the cocktail sauce. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Wish I could tip them honestly!

Amazing seafood! This was my first time coming here and usually stay away from fried foods. I'm glad we came in and was able to try lobster, fish, shrimp, oysters, calamari, and scallops! They were all very lightly breaded and fried to perfection... not oily or tough but so amazing it would make your momma proud!
My first time going here. Let me tell you something! It looked good and smelled good. I couldnāt wait to get home and eat. On another noteā¦Steve is a fool lol he had me laughing the whole time and Nae(hope I spelled it right) was doing her thing. Iāll definitely be going back again. Any place that makes me feel at home is a place I need to be eating at. Excellent customer service and the vibe is amazing. Food is delicious!!!

If you're ever looking for some good fried fish, fried lobster tails, brown sugar hush puppies and more, check these guys out. They started as a food truck back in 2015 and now have branched off to have three total food trucks and two restaurants. They have just re-opened after the COVID-19 pandemic and are rocking and rolling like never before. Check out the Morgan Street foodhall location as that is my personal favorite. Their classic fish and chips basket is so good. Be sure to check out those brown sugar hush puppies I still have you begging for more. Also check out our pics to see how bad we got trapped yesterday! If you get there and see that fried lobster tail like we did - you might want to add that. It's amazing. So flavorful and full of juicy lobster!

I went to the new location at Morgan Hall today after seeing a fb ad that they are giving away free fish plates this whole week. I was surprised the fish was still HUGE, hot and fresh. It was bigger than my head. The fries are great they have a lil Suge Avery š¬ flavor to em. I would go back again if Iām already downtown but that parking is atrocious. Do better Raleigh. I heard they may also be expanding to Crabtree Valley mall.

The fried lobster tail and shrimp was delicious! I had Oak City at the fair last year and once I knew they had a store front, I had to try it! They didnāt disappoint either! Definitely one of my favorites!

They stopped by my mom's apartment complex tonight and since we're food truck junkies, we had to give them a try. The guy running the truck (Trevor) was awesome. Had a great attitude and answered all of our questions with a smile. Wait time was very short from placing our order to food in hand.
We ordered the Large Fish and Shrimp Double Basket. It comes with 2 pieces of fish, 12 shrimp, and fries. (I included a picture of the menu because many of the ones I've seen online are either too small or they have changed / vary by location).
Portion size was good. The fish could have been a tad bigger, but I'm chalking that up to the fact that I liked it that much ... and I was starving. No shortage of fries and he even threw in a few EXTRA shrimp. You can't beat it for the $.
All in all, great service and a great meal. If I had to change one thing, it would be to go just a liiiiiiiiiitle bit lighter on the seasoning ... but it was still delicious. I would definitely recommend them!
I was in Raleigh for Dreamville Festival. We were looking for food and looking at the food stands. We seen these guys and they told us to check out Oak City fish and chips. We did and the food was well seasoned and fried to perfection. I was extremely pleased to get a taste of Louisiana out here in NC. Thanks for the great customer service and if I'm ever back in Raleigh I will definitely give this place a visit. 5 stars all the way!
Fantastic food. Iāve now had their whole fried red snapper and their shrimp and both have been amazing. If you are looking for good sea food then look no further.
Just ate here for the first time at Morgan Street Food Hall and the fish, fries, and hush puppies were amazing! Evan provided great customer service as well. Will definitely get another fish basket soon.
Chef Pierre Is so amazing and the food is freakin fabulous!! The seafood is so fresh and out of this world. Hush puppies just melt in my mouth. If you get a chance do not miss out on the best seafood ever!!!!
