Such an amazing experience trying out this restaurant for the first time while in town. High level of professionalism from the minute we walked in, seated, and leaving the place. Our waiter Paul was Exceptional! Very knowledgeable of the menu and was willing to make recommendations. Glad to have celebrated my birthday there! Highly recommends the Hanger steak, Scallops, Lamb Chops, Devils eggs, Crusted oysters, and Caroline Coconut drink. We will certainly come by next time we’re in town.

First time visiting this place, a big variety of steaks, but also some other vegetarian friendly options. I ordered risotto and some shareable dishes and they were all really tasty. It is appreciated that there are round tables for group dinners. Air conditioning was a bit strong and we ended up a bit cold, but the overall atmosphere was great.

My local sales guy recommended this great steak restaurant. It combined southern hospitality with East Coast steak know how. We really enjoyed our mains, and the sides were pretty good as well. The professional level of service was greatly appreciated. They also make great drinks. Get the Old Fashion.

The atmosphere and service is really good. The computers went down during our meal so it was really slow getting our meal. Our server was really good at explaining the dishes. The wine we got was excellent. The food was just ok. I ordered a 100 dollar bone in filet and it was cold. Maybe it was sitting in the window for a long period of time? I don't know but it was cold. My friends ordered the raviolo and it was just kinda odd. I think how they prepared it was weird. They should have put the nice piece of short rib on top of the large raviolo but instead it was mixed in. The quail was good and I liked the gnocchi. I think my favorite dishes were the grilled octopus and the bread. We had 4 of the sides and I think the best was the Brussel sprouts. I really think they could have made the food more flavorful for the price. All the dishes had good presentation but the majority of it was kinda boring and one note. All in all I think the experience was good but find the food to be lacking for the price. The prices are on par with STK of las vegas so I find it kinda high for a raleigh restaurant. My meal for 2 was $306 before tip which I have no problem paying as long as it is good food. It was just kinda basic and lackluster. The staff is what saved the experience.

We came here looking for a good steak and ended up with an amazing experience. The steak tartare with puffed tendon and egg yolk was a fantastic warmup for the main course. For the entire I had a bone in filet mignon. The drink I had was an alcohol free mock-tale. Just an absolute delight.

My visit here was great. Great atmosphere, good service, great food, nice decor, great location, and very clean. All of our food was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and the amazing bread they served 1st did not disappoint at all. By far, the best bread I've had from a steakhouse. This was also my 1st time trying octopus. It was so good and tender alongside a tasty sauce. There is nothing special about the mashed potatoes. The brussel sprout was very great and cooked just right. Our steak and lamb chops were good. I definitely recommend a quick date night here.

I wish I could give this place a seven-star rating! I have eaten at Michelin-star-rated restaurants in London, which is comparable. We celebrated my birthday here! The manager was super friendly. The waitress was very professional and attentive.

Date night with my husband! We were promptly seated upon arrival, waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and provided awesome recommendations. The bread was fresh and super soft! My husband got the beef Wellington (pastry slightly overcooked) but he still enjoyed it and I ordered the steak frites. Food was great! No complaints, will be coming back to try other things for sure!

We had dinner tonight at the Oak Steakhouse. It was an exceptional experience. The steaks were cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts were very good. We had an apple soufflé and chocolate pie for dessert and both were excellent. The bone marrow was not my favorite but to be fair it’s the first time I’ve had it anywhere and it just may not be the thing for me. We were seated at a corner table and had a great view of the entire restaurant. From the beginning you could tell it was well run. I couldn’t quite place why I got that feeling outside of their friendliness and knowledge of the menu. The more I paid attention, the more obvious it became that there is no detail that hasn’t been perfected. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The employees were all well groomed, clean and in “uniform”. It was interesting to see how individual employees expressed themselves with their choice of jeans. I saw no employees looking at or even carrying a cell phone and their posture was something the British would be proud of. There were no trays used for delivering food or bussing the table. Amazing detail even went in to the setting of the table. The teamwork of everyone involved was excellent. Absolutely amazing experience. Can’t wait to go back on the next special occasion.

Really enjoyed my experience here. The drinks, the wellington filet, the bone-in strip steak, the tartare, mac and cheese, and rolls! Everything was fantastic! Thank you Oak Steakhouse for a wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

On 9/30/23 a group of 5 went to Oak Steakhouse to celebrate our friend’s birthday! John was our server and he was amazing and attentive. In addition to John, all other servers pitched in to take care of the details (refills, folding table cloths, switching utensils, bringing food out, etc. ). The manager also stopped by and she got a free dessert for her bday! The food was amazing and flavorful. We had the homemade bread, deviled eggs, oyster Rockefeller, salad, filet, hanger steak, risotto, steak frites, Brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. I am excited to return in the near future!

From calling to see if they accepted walk-ins to saying see you again, the staff was exceptional. I mean when Tina the bartender accidentally introduces herself as her partner Andrew, the unintended humor definitely got the experience started off on the right foot in my book. Yes, Andrew was kind enough to say you can call me Tina. So to start the drinks were perfect and I must say the Old Smoke Manhattan is one to have. The staff explained each special in detail which made the decision making process a little easier. Apps- the deviled eggs are a must. The Italian salad with ham and grilled peaches was superb. Dinner- We went with the 18oz bone in 45 day dry aged Strip and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. For sides we went with brussel sprouts and mushrooms . Just an excellent experience and will definitely be going back to try a seafood special and a beef Wellington dish.

Easily one of the best steakhouses I've ever been to. First of all, the 14 oz NY Strip was cooked to perfection and it was honestly the best steak I've ever had. Even the smell without any sauces was killer. Second, the bone broth fries are the next hot thing in Raleigh. I love fries, and these are a top 3 fries for me. GET THEM!!! Third, the Mac & Cheese was just good, but not great. Worth a taste, but get something else if you don't HAVE to get mac. Fourthly, the Oak Smoked Manhattan had a great smoke flavor compared to other smoked cocktails I've had in the past, but the actual Manhattan was just okay. Worth trying if you love a Manhattan. Lastly, the service was impeccable. At one point I went to the bathroom and left my napkin in my chair; it was folded next to my plate when I came back. This kind of attention makes a great restaurant an excellent restaurant.

We've enjoyed dinner here twice. Most recently we started with shrimp cocktail and oysters rockefeller, both outstanding. Our friends had the fantastic arugula and strawberry salad. My hubby had the ribeye with horseradish sauce and I had the filet with demiglace sauce. Hubby loved his, but I felt my steak was a bit overdone for my liking and the demiglace, unlike first visit, didn't have much flavor. Sides were brussel sprouts, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes - all very good. Bonus was complementary fries. OMG those are the best fries ever. The service was excellent but you need sunglasses until sunset thanks to construction removing a building that previously blocked the sun - window tinting planned according to management. On our first visit I had the burger and it was fantastic. They've got an excellent wine list.

Words can’t fully describe how wonderful this restaurant is. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, Oak Steakhouse knocks it out of the park every time we visit. The GM, Nick, should be commended for how welcome he makes customers feel and how attentive he is to making sure the front of the house runs smoothly. He knows us by name and is always a pleasure to speak to. We have celebrated birthdays, special occasions, and date nights here. We love it! There is no better steakhouse in Raleigh. Looking forward to returning very soon!

Come for the steak, come back for the service and bread. Danny our waiter was amazing. Attentive, funny and knowledgeable. The service from the host, waiter and manager were 10/10. I had the beef Wellington- which not a lot of places do not offer and it was phenomenal. Wife had oysters and they were delicious. Overall, everything was spot on. Highly recommend.
