In town for work from Dallas. Our server Artin was FANTASTIC and this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Too many restaurants advertise having gluten free options. Then when you go there, you find they have lettuce salad with no croutons 👎🏼. For people with celiac, dining out is often a gamble. Tally’s Silver Spoon is like a lottery winner because of all the gf options and dedicated staff. My wife had gf pancakes, the first ones in many years that tasted like regular pancakes. And gf toast. Tally’s als has gf bagels. 👍🏼👍🏼.

We eat here regularly and the food and service is always excellent! Love the live music too. Brunch menu is spectacular as well. It's our go to spot when we want to relax and eat great food!

Casual atmosphere and a bit eclectic especially for Rapid City. Had the Bison Maytag linguine and must say it cracks the top ten in restaurants and I have eaten at a lot of nice places in Chicago, NY, etc.

The wait is always a bit but it doesn't bother me because the quality of the food is so worth it AND the prices are unbeatable! Went back to back and the server remembered us even with getting swamped with customers.

The wait staff was attentive and courteous. The wait was minimal and the food was delicious. The selection very eclectic. We had a vegetable scramble in hollandaise sauce....the duck duck goose with a foie gras that was amazing and a chorizo scramble called Migas. Yummy!

The best ham we've had in years! I had the Eggs Benedict and they used thinly sliced ham instead of Canadian bacon. A perfectly poached egg and wonderful hollandaise sauce was the crowning touch. My husband said that his pancake was just as good as his favorite place, but the thick slice of ham was the standout. Plump and juicy slice of deliciousness!

I loved the open layout, no booths. The staff was fantastic and knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. Food service was prompt and beautifully presented. I will definitely go again.

Went here for breakfast while on vacation after seeing this place on Zomato and also seeing that Rachel Ray had been there on $40 a Day.  I had the Meat Lovers breakfast which was pretty straight forward.  My eggs were done as ordered and there was ample meat and potatoes.  My wife had the Breakfast Burrito.  It was huge and stuffed to the brim with potatoes, eggs, and meat.  The green chili is different than what I am used to being from a place in close proximity to Texas and it's chili.  My son had the Chicken Fry with eggs and potatoes with white gravy,  He loved it.  All in all, it was pretty good.  I don't know if there is really a way to make eggs, hashbrowns, and breakfast meat stand out from one place to another.  The service was excellent, but for the price it had better be.  If you want foie gras on your French Toast, then this would be a good place to try.  If you are just looking for an egg/meat/potato breakfast, then you could probably do just as good for less scratch somewhere else.

This is my favorite Breakfast, get the Duck Duck Goose, add a piece of Foie gras, have not had a bad meal at this place, want to try it for dinner but not have had the chance.  My daughter always gets the blueberry pancakes they are the best I have ever had, big hugs.

Great food.  Ordered the foie gras, delicious; then the caviar, delicious; followed with the elk tenderloin and pheasant.  All delicious.  Would definitely come back.

Weird reception, great food!We were out of town and in Rapid City, SD, for the week.  While in Rapid City I used my Zomato app as I always do and found Tally's Silver Spoon as high rated and we were close to their address.  I called and was told they did not have a table for about 30 mins, at 7:45.  I told the person on the phone we would be there in 2 mins as we were close.  Once we arrived we looked in the restaurant and saw that they were only half full.  I asked the host, (male person) in charge  and he said they had other people with reservations coming and reminded me that he told me 7:45.   I said we would potentially look elswhere.  He then sat us at one of the empty tables???  No other patrons showed up to fill the empty tables?  I really dislike it, when I go to a restaurant and they say they dont have space and you look around and see many empty tables.  This was exactly the case here.  We did get seated.  It added a bad feeling for all 4 of us.  We enjoyed excellent food and the wait staff, Nick was excellent.  The host needs to get his stuff together.

Great place for healthy breakfast/brunch with unique options for all diets! I love the oatmeal and am a fan of the veg dish, too! The hashbrowns were tepid and flavorless, so I won't get those again, but the veggies were perfect and mouth watering! The home made jam with the oatmeal was a treat, too! I wish they had almond/soy milk so I could try the granola as well! My partner loved the lox, but the bagel was a bit much for him. They even cater to standard fare lovers like my dad. From gourmet to greasy spoon, you can get it here!

Great coffee, perfect atmosphere, attentive staff. I had the smoked salmon Benedict which was perfect... Other than the hard cooked eggs. To be fair, I did not specify I like them soft, but with Benedict did not think I had to. Other stuff looked good too!

Very Nice Experience and Really Good Food.
Our shuttle driver recommended Tally's for breakfast, and I'm glad she did. On the surface it looked like any old diner with seating inside and out. The food was anything but typical. The veggie breakfast was a unique blend of veggies in a hollendaise sauce comined with an egg and toast. The Cinnamon french toast was thickly coated and cooked to perfection. The service was consistent and our waiter was very nice.
We'll be eating here tomorrow - it's that good. And I want to try some of the other dishes.

Just Wonderful. We ate breakfast here on Sunday. I chose this place, because they had a unique menu with lots of interesting dishes. I had the Duck, Duck, Goose, which was delicious. I do not have a sophisticated palette, however really enjoyed this dish and was surprised at how much meat was actually in it. Everyone in my family raved about what they had, and our waitress (Denise) was sweet & helpful, even though the place was packed and she was very busy. We took slices of pie to go - great move on our part, because they were made from scratch and were scrumptious! Would love to go back and try more of the menu!

Wonderful Dinner!. Had visited Tally's for lunch a couple of weeks ago and tried it again for Dinner. It was Ash Wednesday and we wanted to try something without meat. We chose the "Indecision" and let the chefs prepare a delightful 5 course dinner. It was awesome! From the mushroom crepes, apple pistachio salad, mussels and hamachi to the Coffee Pots De Creme. Each course was so flavorful that it was an adventure for the taste buds! It could not have been more perfect! Patrick our server, was well seasoned, knowledgeable and perfectly attentive and helped make the meal the adventure that it was!

Not a finer high class diner - 4.5 Stars. Recently moved to South Dakota. Tried the Silver Spoon for an early dinner. They only serve small plates in between lunch and dinner service. Dinner starts at 5 pm.

We had the lettuce wraps off the small plates menu. A very yummy peanut teriyaki sauce with cardamom served on soft and velvety butter lettuce. Very good.

At 5pm we placed our order for entrees. We decided to split the Bison Maytag Marsala on house made linguine and also a burger with ham, swiss and a sunnyside up egg. We also got the carrot persimmon soup puree. Let me say, that the Pasta dish was phenomenal. It was very rich and heavy, but worth it. The quality of the house made linguine exceeded my expectations. Definitely a top five. The marsala cream sauce was topped with mild and melty Maytag blue cheese. I don't much like blue cheese, but in this application it was killer. The seared rare bison medallions on top was cooked perfectly and matched better with the dish than I imagined. I highly recommend this dish to people who like these ingredients. It was akin to a gourmet stroganoff.

The burger was cooked perfectly medium well. The ham and swiss atop was high quality and matched the tender and well seasoned beef. But the star was the egg and yolk that ran over the burger. Very delicious. The sweet potato waffle fries were thin like shoestring potatoes and fried perfectly. Crispy and tasty.

The carrot persimmon soup was delicious. Tasted like earthy hearty carrots with a sweet spicy persimmon flavor. Just one notch below too much persimmon, but still very good and well matched to the winter season. We did not do dessert this time, but the wine selection was pretty good with some of our favorites represented.

The ambience is upscale casual. What you'd expect from a nice place in a rural Midwestern town. Service was friendly, helpful and not stuffy. Colors are neutral and tasteful. Looks like the dining room of a four star hotel.

Good downtown location. Quality ingredients. Good menu. Tasty results. Recommended by this Prime Member, new to Western South Dakota.

Great for breakfast/Lunch. Has to be the best breakfast in Rapid city. Our group had a variety of meals this morning and all were excellent. I had a chicken, swiss, spinach omelet that was the omelet of the day and was way better then it sounded! Around the table we had French toast, fruit crepes , and a chorizo egg dish called Migas; All were excellent. Even my grandson's simple pancake was great (no more Ihop). Lunch a few days ago (buffalo burger) was good too. Good food and service to match....can't ask for more!

Went there for wine and desserts while a friend was performing. The service was impeccable, and the staff was very accommodating despite the fact that our party kept growing and growing. Their wine selection is great. The ice creams are delicious and obviously made with love, but the portions are TINY for the price. The same goes for their triple-chocolate dessert. Overall, a great bottle of wine was shared over yummy desserts and we left with a smile.

Simply fantastic. We went here today for a late breakfast and enjoyed a wonderfully delicious meal. I had their special which can only be described as breakfast nachos. They were made with crisp flatbread triangles topped with pulled pork, a red salsa, holindaise sauce, scrambled eggs, and some sour cream. The concept threw me and I almost skipped ordering them but how often do you get pulled pork with breakfast? The rush of flavor was amazing, all of the components joined to make an amazing meal that has ensured my return in the near future. Every plate of food I saw looked fantastic and made me wish I could take a full day to just sit there and try the entire menu.

Absolutely loved the dinner menu and quality of food. The flavors were great and the atmosphere was comfortable with live music. I have eaten here another time for lunch and wasn't as impressed. There wasn't much that set it apart from other downtown restaurants.

They were very busy but we sat outside and the waiter provided great service despite the rush. I had the Migas or chorizo scramble and it was excellent just the right amount of spice and heat. I was lucky enough to have the toast off my wife's plate and it was beyond regular diner bread. I would go there again for sure.

While I can't say anything about the price of dinner, breakfast is very reasonable and absolutely delicious. I paid 10 bucks for a huge omelet and coffee. Service was excellent and like I said the food was great.

~Tally's. For anyone who never ate in Tally's before the renovation, this place has had the makeover of the century. I will start by saying that I love the new ambiance and vibe of this place. I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and cannot complain one bit about the quality of the food or service. I will say, however, that this is easily the most expensive restaurant in Rapid City. I believe they are listed on here as $15 - $25, which is true if you are only considering appetizers. The entree's begin around $22 or $23, and if memory serves correctly, they run from there up to $39 or $40. That being said, I feel that their wine prices are lower than what is average, so if you are having wine with dinner, you may just level yourself out :) Do I think that this is overpriced for Rapid City?.... Yes. Do I think that the food, service, and ambiance are fantastic?.... Yes.

We had the privilege to dine here on a trip to Rapid City. The bartender at the hotel across the street recomended Tally's. Very friendly... very comfortable... very good! The bartender Ray was very knowledgeable about the menu and the beer on tap. He recomended the salad with the seared tuna... awesome... the ice cream sampler was also great. This is a must visit for anyone looking for a tasty meal in a trendy spot.
