Genuine first class small Italian neighborhood restaurant. Good value for you hard earned money. Friendly...Godfather at bar’s end! Steak � like nothing offered elsewhere. Real treat.
Love this place! Great homemade stuffed shells, eggplant, etc, but the STEAK is out of this world!! Forgo Char and Wolfgangs, the steak here is better and less expensive! I took a picture of our steak, just can't figure out how to post it here... 10 stars!

The best Italian food in Central NJ
It's comfort Italian food 4 real I was here just the other day & for the last 9 years I been coming once or twice a month the food here is very consistent & always fresh & good I always get shrimp scampi but Ive tried 'bout almost everything on this menu. I treated myself to a chocolate moose cake & their homemade whip cream the other day OML I thought I died & gone to heaven YESSS heaven it was that good! Billy always very welcoming & Sally she's fun I love this cozy little spot!!!

Hard to describe how good the food is. But we all pick this restaurant for our Birthday dinner. The food is exceptional!!!

Espo's is an absolutely wonderful local restaurant! Their food is simply outstanding & that's especially true for their amazing tomato sauce!
Espo's is one of those warm, "Hole-in-the-walls" neighborhood restaurant & bar that's located in the middle of a neighborhood near Bridgewater, NJ... The Staff are very friendly & they usually will recognize their "locals" that come in to eat! My husband and I have been eating at Espo's for over 25 years & the food has been consistently on point every time we have eaten there!
All of the Parmesan dishes are outstanding, including the Steak, Chicken, Veal & Eggplant Parmesans! I love how huge the Ribeye Steak is that is used in the Steak Parm & especially the distinct Charred flavor that it has from their amazing indoor grill!
The Staff has always said that they know when a customer is a "Local" because we all know to request the "Linguini with White Clam Sauce" instead of the normal red sauce that comes with the order! (Don't get me wrong though, their "staple" Red Sauce is outstanding but you get it on your Steak Parmesan, etc. so why not get the White Clam sauce instead!
My husband also LOVES their Braciol! It is a delicious piece of beef pot roast type/flank steak that has been rolled up & tied up then slow roasted & stewed for hours then the meat is smothered with cheese that is then broiled until all melty & simply delectable!!!
Trust me when I tell you, Espo's is just amazing! They have won all kinds of awards for their amazing foods!!

I have been coming here for over 30 year, thank goodness some things don't change. Lots of solid menu items, gravy prepared fresh and plain that enhances the dish and doesn't overwhelme the main ingredient. Ask for a chilled chianti , a local thing. REMEMBER to bring cash, no cc accepted. A great place to enjoy one solid Italian dish after another!!!
Classic. Love this place. Been here forever and crowded for a reason. Traditional home style italian dishes. Bracioli is out of this world.
Yes. Small out of the way place, crowded (but that just means it is good) had the chicken parm nearly perfect (nothing is perfect) over all a positive experience

Outstanding old school Italian. Loved the pork chop Murphy. Hands down my go to for the best Italian in Central Jersey. But get there early, no reservations.
Fantastic old school Italian. I had the Sunday gravy special and it was superb. The sauce was obviously simmering all day.Nice dark red, no water and the meats and pasta were to die for.
Found the place accidentally and was blown away. Split chicken parm and pork chops with my babe and both were amazing, portions are off the plate...come hungry. The staff, they're as good as the food.
I had been wanting to try this place and I'm so glad that I did. I was very surprised to find the whole restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night, which was a good sign. The food and drinks were delicious and the prices were reasonable. Our waiter, Patrick, suggested the hotsy totsy shrimp with vodka sauce and I'm still dreaming about it! It was SOOOO good! I cant wait to go back and Patrick was an awesome waiter too!
Wonderful time for our Mother’s day meal. Everything was great; food, wine, service and music. They met our expectations and more. Officially, it is now my most favorite restaurant.
Espo’s has always been a great restaurant. Since 1974 it’s been a staple for those of us who prefer independently owned v. chains. Under new ownership it’s been stepped up. The original menu has been respected, yet it’s been improved & expanded. The renovation is quite remarkable yet it maintains that comfortable vibe that was loved by so many. Bravo to the new owners for doing such a great job. While the original owner is missed, he would certainly be glad that after 44 years at the helm, this place lives on.
First time here. It has two sitting area : indoor and outdoor choice. For indoor seating, you'll enjoy the bar atmosphere. We did not drink so we chose outdoor seating. Food was tasty, I ordered their famous steak parm - medium rare : It was really good. The hotsy totsy shrimp appetizer was also delicious. Staffs were friendly and helpful.... They don't accept reservations and only Friday has lunch.. This is why only 4 stars from me.

Fried Calamari is light flaky and cooked perfectly, best you'll ever eat.
The Grilled Pork Chops Murphy is outstanding. Espo Ravioli and Meat & Cheese Stuffed Super Shells are just fabulous.
Pastas and Entrées are all large portions.
*The Famous Nastos Tartufo* Don't leave without getting it. Tartufo Tip: let it sit for a minimum of 7 min before eating. Espresso Martini & Tawny Port
The Staff is five star and very accommodating.
