Truly a wonderful experience. Food was top notch and prepared with great artistry. The concept is beautiful and worth supporting by dining here and paying more than the expected bill, but the delight is that it is worth every extra penny already. So we all leave smiling and grateful. Well done.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Not just a meal but a thoroughly satisfying experience. The food is always fresh, the chef knows what good ingredients are and how to use them. The staff is always wonderful. They recommend you pay $10 for the meal but you would pay easily $25-30 in most of the other Red Bank restaurants for the meal you get here. You feel not only satisfied after a meal here, you feel better than when you walked in because of the food, the people, and the purpose.
Terrific experience. Amazingly friendly and welcoming place to enjoy a meal. You can't tell who is "working," "volunteering," etc., but what is clear is that everyone staffing the place tonight wanted to be there. The atmosphere is incredibly cooperative, courteous, and family friendly. There is community seating, so we met several other lovely folks in the area. And the food was great: simple, tasty, reasonable portions, far healthier than the average eatery, and 3 courses for the most reasonable price in town and (far) beyond. There was a choice of 2 appetizers, about 3 entrees plus a kid's entree, and there were 3 specials. Meat, fish, & vegetarian choices - and special requests were honored. Well worth the visit.
We read so many great reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The staff and atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The food was delicious, We had the salmon with garlic spinach sauce and the butternut squash soup. This will definitely be one of our favorite spots to eat healthy food. The best thing about this restaurant is that it serves the community with delicious and healthy food no one is turned away because of lack of money but encouraged to volunteer their time. When you eat here you are also contributing to their positive cause of “feeding all” regardless their economic background. We encourage all to visit, you will not regret it.
What a wonderful experience dining and giving back to the community! The staff were so kind, the food was most delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy! I would recommend everyone going and being a part of this wonderful dining experience! A special shout out to Chris, Moe, and Nicole!
Oh my goodness! I loved this place! The people are so nice and caring! They talked to us and helped us feel right at home. You have to try it. 😊
We had such an amazing experience at the JBJ Soul Kitchen. The staff was incredibly hospitable and professional! They accommodated our large group who flew across the country for this experience and they made us feel so welcome and special. I can’t say enough good things about them! The food was great and the service was exceptional! 20/10 recommend!!!
Well one check off my bucket list! Had an amazing fresh meal and everlasting experience and all around enjoyable afternoon at the JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank! Picture perfect afternoon weather was wonderful staff was friendly and fun the peanut butter cheesecake was well it goes without saying LOL 😁 the only thing that would make it slightly better was to see jbj himself however I was told he was there last weekend LOL if you know me well now you do that is the story of my life LOL. One day we will be back real soon. Thank you Kathy Melissa and all the stuff there that need our afternoon happy and our bellies full. I am a life-long lover of Jon not only for his amazing talent and the ability to rock a stage no matter where he goes him and his crew, but the fact that he gives back constantly he is just an amazing human with so much to give. I would love to meet him one day and thank him personally shake his hand and smile that big smile. Keep the faith, bought some merch also, well my lovely boyfriend did. Thank you again love from your biggest fan, Fay and my guy Gerry. ❌⭕💞☀️🙏
Right off the bat, Jon Bon Jovi doesn't appear a lot here, according to the waitstaff, so don't expect that. What you can expect is an amazing chef-prepared meal provided by volunteers working for free and all they ask is for you to "pay it forward" in lieu of a tip. The recommended donation is $20 per person, but I gotta tell you, I haven't had fresher, more well-prepared food in a long time. And I cook! The menu changes about every ten days, so it's always fresh and new. We were served Watermelon Guspacho and it was outstanding! Then I had the Fish and Chips (big UK fan) and it was probably the best cod fried up that I've EVER had. Not lying, this place is amazing and the thought behind it is even more amazing. Because if you cannot afford your meal, they'll help you out. That's right, free meals for those less-fortunate. So thanks JBJ for thinking of your fellow man!
This is a must eat!! Not only for great food and great company but great philanthropy too! Menu changes every 2 weeks. Exec Chef Emily cranks out awesome food! (Eggplant meatballs all the way)! Moe is a rocking waitress! Really awesome service food and really giving back to the community! This Girl Scout loves making the world a better place and so does JBJ Soul Kitchen.
