We are here 2x a week for lunch and are in & out within the hour! The food is great, full menu, the majority is home cooked, and the variety of daily specials are awesome! We feel like family there, the waitresses ad crew are very funny and FAST! Their grilled chicken is the BEST I have ever had. Thanks Hefty's!!

Since 1965 this Classic Coney Island packs them in 3 generations of families. Just look up for the Mega Hotdog one the roof. Sunday brunch full house we ordered many items named Hefty on the menu highlighted in a red box. Hefty Dog Holy WOW fills a whole plate be Hotdog smoothered with Chili, Loose Burger and Fried Onions. Hefty Burger be double everything Burger patties double Bacon n Double Cheese great hand patty Burger.
Hefty Salad absolutely Wonderful with a Hefty Hash be 3 Meats, Taters Onions n Peppers topped with Eggs Delicious. A Double Patty Melt yeah we over order took 2 boxes home. We go to Hefty's quite often for over 20 years now. We enjoy their food, friendly service, and get that local feel of knowing & being know by the staff as well as other customers. They love our kids & treat us like family. Can't say enough good about this place. I highly recommend it.
Consistanty good coney fare. This is one of the best places to grab a cheeseburger deluxe. And the prices are good too.

Hubby and I used to come to this restaurant years ago under different management, then we moved out of Michigan. When we moved back to Michigan, we wanted to revisit one of our fav places. When I called to see if they were opened, the person who answered the phone was so upbeat and friendly, I couldn’t wait to return. When we got to Hefty’s it was then that we found out that it was under new management and Tina was the new owner. She was the person that I spoke with over the phone. And in person, she is just as bubbly. We placed our breakfast order. Things that we had eaten in the past. We were offered banana nut bread with our coffee. OMG!! It was soooo good! Then I found out that it was homemade by Tina. Our breakfast was great. I had Hefty’s breakfast wrap made with egg whites and turkey sausage. Hubby had a veggie omelet, hash browns, turkey patties and blueberry pancakes. I understand that Tina has more help, but while we were there, she was the only person doing waitstaff. It’s a little drive for us to get there. But we will return. And I highly recommended you give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
I love the new server Kari! Her cinnamon roll French toast recommendation was the perfect breakfast. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Great food.
