My friend I went there expecting to have sushi. But we tried the spicy tan tan ramen (which is not your typical ramen broth) and were really pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. We'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Plenty of spacious outdoor seating, but the inside set up looked great to check out whenever indoor dining is allowed again. Servers were very attentive too.
We went there this afternoon and had a nice sidewalk early dinner. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was good, but we were expecting more based on the ratings and the price. I wasn't blown away by anything. That said, we enjoyed the Salmon skin salad, brussel sprouts and the chicken gyoza appetizers. We had three rolls. They were good and had a beautiful presentation, but I wasn't amazed. They were just good. I think I was looking for something more special based on earlier reviews.
First time ordering from Japonica. We were pleased by the friendly local vibe over the phone. Our hefty order for 6 was ready on time in 25 minutes, as accurately predicted by the person we spoke with. Food was amazing, delicious ramen, cauliflower soup, salads and of course sushi. Fish was fresh, prepared brilliantly, and so yummy! Will definitely order from Japinica again.
Soooo good! On point. Check all the boxes for covid. Super fresh and quick. Outdoor and kept adding tables as customers arrive so don't let that fool you. More tables outside
All the food is good here, but what really shine are the rice-less rolls, which allow you to taste the full magnitude of the fish, the herbs, and the sauce. Eat them with a small bit of the special, smokey soy sauce for true umami.
Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Sushi was fresh and absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu!!
Outstanding service. They had forgotten about our drinks, not only they apologized and explained the reason of why, also on the house for a drink plus an appetizer. So rare these days for this humbleness and real care for the success of their business. Will go back many many times in the future. And did I mention about the exceptional sushi... Yummmmm
We had a great in this restaurant. We liked the nice vibes and the meals. The staff are very attentive. I am glad we ultimately managed to visit this place.
