Love this place; one of my favorite in Redwood City. Food is always on point. Try the Unagi Sliders or the Yaki Oni-Benedict!!
Unique, creative, and delicious menu. Staff is also very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Highly recommend!
This place is awesome, my favorite Redwood City restaurant. They have a very interesting menu, my favorites are Smoked Devil Eggs, Karachi Chicken, Galic Pizza.
This is not your typical Japanese restaurant. Entrès are uniquely presented, busrting with flavor, and very healthy.
Kemuri is the shining food star in Redwood City. The preparation techniques are 5 star gourmet at least.
Have always enjoyed the food and service here, having lamb chops tonight
Awesome food and fantasic service. We will be back for sure. Thank you.
Great new flavors and fantastic food!
Very nice food. There was some creativity in the dishes which we appreciated. The salmon ikura don can with a crispy rice ball instead of normal streamed rice, which was interesting.
Made a reservation for 5 on a Saturday night. It was decently packed, but we were seated very quickly. We ordered through the QR code which made everything super simple (you also paid through online menu).
We ordered a bunch of dishes, but the standout was the wagyu+garlic rice, chicken karage, the eel over rice, and of course the hamachi. Everything tasted so good and it made it easy to share plates with a lot of people. Everyone got to try a taste of everything.
It was all pretty pricey, but within a comfortable range for the quality of food that you are getting. And the atmosphere and service are amazing as well. Will definitely come back.
Yummy foods. It is kind of fusion. Hamachi kama it kind of pricey ( it is 2 piecess instead one) and usually it is not a main dishes in japanese restaurant. All the dishes we ordered were very yummy.
I’d recommend the wagyu garlic rice, it was delicious! The grilled unagi bowl was ok/average. We went for lunch and the portion was not big but just enough for two of us.
A popular spot for area Japanese to dine with friends in Redwood City. A baru is basically a Western style Izakaya (“bar” in Romaji) in Japan; this is a mix of Japanese and Western styles. The wagyu steak garlic rice was spectacular. The yakioni benedict was also a clever combination with the bacon and poached (onsen?) egg.
I really loved the eel here! A really nice place with traditional Japanese cuisine as well as some dishes that have a modern twist.
You order and pay from a website so your order is fast and accurate. The food is fantastic and so is the service. Will be back!
