I have always loved everything about this place. Not only is it in a quaint, peaceful area, it's one of the most warm and loving places. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the wine even better. The underground wine cellar really ties it all together. I'm fascinated by the attention to detail that the owners have put into the restaurant. The staff is like family and the best part is that the owner is the head chef and he will not hesitate to come by and check up on you to see how your night is going.
The unique thing that this place offers is that the menu changes everyday. Something that you would not find anywhere else let alone Reno.
The restaurant has big open windows to see across the river and even seating on the lawn. What a gem it is. If you haven't gone, you are really missing out my friends. Go to Beaujolais and ask them for a great signature cocktail and some delicious escargot!!!
My wife and I don't get to go out often, we have 6 kids so we all know how much alone time parents get lol... But I have never been to such a quaint, hidden gem before. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. The wait staff are friendly and attention to this customers was quite surprising. I would love to go again in the future. Might I suggest the patté plate. So amazing. Thank you for a beautiful experience.
Fabulous experience from the moment we walked in.
It was my birthday we arrived early and we were able to be seated in our reserved spot. Our waiter and host at our table were on point with our drinks, water, and knowledge of items on the menu and personal preferences. I had the pork belly and my companion had duck confit both brought joy to our palette. Dessert made me crave more and I was to start writing my review while I finished my wine I had the pleasure of meeting the chef.
All the right elements ambiance, food, wine, company and staff
I look forward to next time.
Delicious food in a lovely setting. The service by Louie was top notch. Great value for the money spent. The restaurant is in a pretty, old neighborhood on the river so you can take a nice walk before or after dinner. The food is what will bring you back time and again.
We had an amazing dinner. We did the Prix Fix menu and had the scallops in cauliflower puree and Foie Gras Sauce. Best scallops we've ever had. My husband cleaned his plate so clean you would not have known it had food on it. Great Anniversary Dinner!
This romantic, intimate fine dining restaurant has always been a special place. The food is spot on but not pretentious. The service warm and accommodating. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A perfect place to spend a special evening.
Beaujolais never disappoints. The food is incredible. The service impeccable. The ambiance is classic, timeless and warm. I love this place! Beaujolais is a favorite for special occasions or a romantic date.
Sooooo, this restaurant is THE yummiest I've ever tried for n Reno, NV
It's off the charts amazing! Right on the river, shows that Reno does have classy places and the chef and staff are so accommodating
Excellent dinner and wonderful wine!! We loved your establishment and excellent service! I highly recommend your establishment and will definitely be back! Thank you!!
Wow. How's that for a review? Ok, maybe you want a bit more info...
The service is top notch; you always feel like your needs are being attended to, but not in an overtly obnoxious way. Someone is always nearby and available, so you don't feel like you've got to go looking for somebody if you need something. Very nice staff, very attentive, and also very discreet (not "in your face" like some places can be, and also not "where the hell did everybody go", like other places.
The food...well, the food is just awesome sauce. We had the Steak Frites, which is done in a classic French style with a savory buttery peppercorn sauce, and hand-cut frites with a delectable aioli sauce. (I'm pretty sure they are hand-cut, but don't take my word for it as I didn't ask...all I can say is that I'm confident they weren't frozen!). We also had the rabbit and chicken Wellington which was SOOO good! Highly recommended...the pastry was light and flaky, the rabbit light but rich at the same time; it seemed like it would be a really rich and heavy dish, but we ate the whole thing..so good.
For dessert, we shared the chocolate mousse which has layers of blackout cake and raspberry coulis. Yum!
Highly recommended!
Very simply, it's the best (maybe only) French restaurant in town! It reminds me of time I lived in the south of France... it is not a high-end restaurant. More like country French. I hope that's their intention because it certainly works on that level. This is true, both of ambience and food. Very enjoyable.
Took my wife for her birthday and we both loved our dining experience. We would both highly recommend it.
Oh my,my,my very good and I will be back very soon, great staff.
