They have really good mexican food. Not much to look at, just a hole in the wall joint...had been told they had awesome mexican food...it is good, huge portions...friends brought our order to us because of a surgery in the family...it hit the spot...chicken burrito was really good...
This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Reno. It's perfect for lunch. The tacos are so authentic and margaritas are strong. I especially love the chicken quesadilla - the cheese is heavenly and it's never greasy. I'm never disappointed with a meal at Beto's.
The only place to go for Mexican food in Reno.. If you have a hankerin' for the absolute best Mexican food in Reno the place to go is Beto's. Tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno, you name it, they have it, and it tastes FANTASTIC!!! This is NOT where you go to get crappy, knockoff, Americanized "Mexican" food. If you like Q'Doba...don't go to Beto's there is no hope for you as you do not know what REAL Mexican food is.

Not very nice interior, but delicious tacos!
It was OK. I may be spoiled where I live but it's hard to beat my local Mexican taquerias. That said, this was an okay place. Plentiful combo plates, friendly staff, full of locals it seemed. Carne asada was okay, guacamole was quite good, nachos were ...okay.
Good Food, Water from Mexico. Really excellent and authentic food. I was amazed that a white girl like me (who usually resorts to eating Taco Bell) enjoyed it so much. Only complaint was that it gets really crowded and the tap water they serve must be imported from Mexico, cuz yuck. But food was terrific!
Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. The food is fresh, the prices are decent and the service was exceptionally great. Definitely going back.
If you're in Reno and you like Mexican food, this is a great stop. The prices are reasonable, the portions are insanely generous, and the cooking is superb. My burrito was stuffed with spicy pork, avocado, and rice. A couple of soft tacos with tongue made a delightful accompaniment. Terrific food and great value.
This place is tops. Screw anyone that says otherwise, it is awesome. Tacos=bomb fajitas=bomb salsa=bomb can't ask for better. Love it!!
The Best Authentic Mexican. Beto's is simply the best authentic Mexican food available in Reno. The prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and flavorful. The only drawback is finding a place to sit when it's busy. Forget what everyone else says about the "best" Mexican food. You need to do yourself a favor and eat at Beto's for REAL Mexican food.

The best Mexican food I've had in Reno. The food is really authentic to the Jalisco region of Mexico. Place is allways packed. Beware of their tortas ahogadas, they are really spicy.
This Mexican Likes this Mexican Restaraunt. I have my favorite dish and order the same thing on half my visits. The salsa they bring out is the best in town because it's roasted to perfection. I hate the lines and crowds but I put up with those things even on hangover days because sometimes a Beto's Burrito is the only cure. I love the workers because they have been the same for years and really make the place comfortable and familiar.
Dine inside on a cold day, Dine outside on a warm day. It's the kind of place you might wipe your seat and table down with a napkin (you know the kind of place I'm taking about) but don't really mind because you know it's only like that because you swooped on the table as soon as the last guests left.
A reno favorite!. Having lived in Reno on and off for more than ten years, I have come to appreciate Betos in a big way.
The prices are so low, i've commented before that I would actually pay more for what I get. In addition, over all the years, the food has consistently been awesome and hasn't changed since day one.
Unlike some hole-in-the-wall mexi joints, i've never felt like my health was in danger here. The food is always fresh, delicious, and always comes with a dish of that magical salsa.
One tip, when ordering chips and salsa, ask for the tostada shells instead of the standard chips as they are so much better (albeit a bit more greasy).
All in all, I will continue to eat here regularly for the rest of my time in Reno!
Expect great cheap Mexican food, low budget atmosphere, many Spanish-only speakers dine here. =Authentic!! Many combos to choose from.

Best authentic mexican food!!! ¡¡Mejor comida mexicana!!. When I come to Reno, Beto's is the first place I want to visit.
The restaurant itself may not seem very glamorous, but the food is well worth the visit if you want to try authentic Mexican food. This is not what you will get at most "Mexican" restaurants. This is similar to what you would get in Guadalajara, Mexico.
