Ok. My co-worker was talking about this place. I took a chance on this place. I got the Brisket and Turkey. The sides I got were fried okra, potato salad, and the 5 cheese mac. The Brisket was awesome, the turkey was great. The fried okra was the best I had. The potato salad was too relishy for me. But the Mac and cheese was the best ever. I have always tried Mac and cheese and it is always disappointing but the 5 cheese mac here was fantastic. I am so happy with this barbecue place.

My family and I are from LA and came to Dallas for a wedding. We knew we'd be getting BBQ, and this was one of the places we tried. Between the pecan lodge, cattleack and this place, hands down this place was the best. Great food, great taste, great BBQ. I particularly enjoyed the less amount of smoke taste in the food at this restaurant. Enough smoke to taste its presence, but not so overwhelming that I feel like I'm eating meat flavored coal. Brisket was outstanding, sausage was amazing, chicken was very moist and tender, and the bacon wrapped brisket stuffed peppers? I could live off those. And that bbq sauce was fantastic. Best sauce I've tasted out here yet (although I did enjoy the rub from the pecan Lodge more). We will definitely try to make it back before we leave town. 5 out of 5!

Been to Dallas twice and been to Ten50 both times. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the place is clean. Definitely recommend. I had the 3 meat platter with sausage, brisket, and chicken, coleslaw and Mac & cheese as well as two of the bacon wrapped jalapeño things (I prefer chicken). Shared with my 4 year old and it filled us up! Great place for a birthday dinner. Thanks for the great food!

Ordered online to get carryout which was a super simple process. After arriving, I wished I’d decided to eat-in instead as the place looks awesome. I got two meat (brisket/pulled pork) with two sides (baked beans/mac and cheese). Everything was awesome! The beans were different than what I usually expect but still delicious. The brisket was so flavorful and I wish there was more. The mac and cheese was perfect and the pulled pork with their signature sauce was super satisfying! I definitely cleaned my plate!

First time here. Had a sample of all the meats. My favorites were brisket, jalapeno wrapped in bacon, pulled pork and the mac and cheese.

Fabulous food! Super juicy brisket..just ask for it. Desserts to die for don’t miss the banana pudding. We recommend going on a quiet night the first time so you can enjoy it all

Some of the best bbq I’ve had in a while. Great environment to sit by the bar, a table or on the patio. Their bartender Britany is awesome and total sweetheart. I have a fun group of friends that meet at the bar here every Friday for lunch. Come join us!

Great food and a really cool building. FYI Ten50 also does offsite catering. We just used them for two days of 25+ person meetings and everyone raved about the food. Also Try to stop by on Tuesdays for the 2 bone Pork Chop. It is massive juicy and delicious.

Yes the food is pricey, but it is OUTSTANDING.  The sandwich was $9, with no sides.  It was by no means skimpy with the meat, and I ordered it lean, and it was exactly as ordered.  The meat was smoked to perfection, and while the sauce was good only a little is necessary.  I'm pretty sure the bun was baked on premise, and toasted, pretty sure it didn't come out of a plastic bag with a dozen or so others.   Also to put the price in perspective, you will pay more for a bad sandwich at a sporting event, or at a hotel bar or room service and more than likely say nothing.

The banana pudding was a work of art.  There was a hint of cinnamon to it, and tasted more like a desert  that you would get at a high end New York City restaurant.  Yeah, I know it was banana pudding, but there was a chef's attention to detail, something you rarely see with banana pudding, or other comfort food type items.  I think the attention to detail is what makes this place special and justifies the slightly higher cost.   I don't mind paying more for food when it is really good.  When it's not good and expensive I am relentless with my criticism.

BBQ is sort of like religion, people get passionate about one place or another, and it is amazing how reviews can be all over the place at the same restaurant.  Perhaps it is the smoke flavor, the type of wood used to smoke changes the flavor dramatically.  I guess flavor is like beauty, everyone has a different opinion.  I was impressed, maybe you will be too, but it worth a visit to make up your own mind.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing.

Special thanks to Ricardo (I'm assuming manager, if not he should be)

My family and I were there last week with our kids and he was more than understanding of the kids acting like kids.

The atmosphere he brings to this place is unbelievable. As we ate we watched as he went to every table to ask if everything was okay.

His smile is contagious and we could tell he loves what does.

We are definitely coming back this weekend

My family ate at Ten50 for the first time yesterday. The meat was amazing. Having said that the portions are ridiculously small. I had the two meat plate and it consisted of two ribs and two slices of brisket for $14.95. Amazing flavor, but really? We didn't fare as well with the sides. The brisket baked beans are very good; however the potato salad and slaw were not - in fact they were bad. Loved the atmosphere and the staff, but way overpriced for the amount of food.

Very good BBQ and sides and a nice selection of craft beers. We were greeted warmly by one of the men working the grill. I believe his name was JW. He patiently taught us the process. My husband chose a selection of meats by weight including a sausage and some brisket and chicken stuffed jalapeños. I had the double meat sandwich with both pulled pork and brisket. I also had a side of mac n cheese and one of the delicious yeast rolls. The sandwich was quite large and I took half home as leftovers. The brisket was tasty and lean. We enjoyed it very much. I recommend it.

This place is pretty good! It is based on the same concept as Black’s in Lockhart. You go through the line, select your meat(s) by the pound(s), thengo through and get other stuff. I had a half pound each of ribs and brisket (wet). Damn fine brisket, tender and juicy, great smoky flavor. The ribs were pretty good (7.5 on a scale of 1 to JTs), they seemed to come apart in odd ways when pulling it off the bone. The flavor was decent.

I've been wanting to try this place since it opened. Glad we made it tonight before a movie at Alamo Drafthouse. When you first walk in there's a spacious open air room where you order your meats. There's a giant board with a huge meat selection. The guys working that room have high energy and are friendly. Hubs and I both decided on the two meat plate. We ordered then were directed to the next room to order our two sides. This is where the biggest disappointment came to play. No mashed potatoes. No green beans. There was a guy behind a counter with Mac n cheese and pinto beans. Hubs and I ordered Mac n cheese. I asked if there were other options and he advised that in the previous room we could have ordered a baked potato. He said they also had Coleslaw, French fries, fried okra and corn on the Cobb. Hubs ordered french fries and I ordered fried okra. He then advised that we couldn't do that because fried items counted as two sides. Say what?! All of this should've been simply stated in the previous room. That would make the most sense right? Anywho - once we paid the sitting area had nice lighting, high ceilings and cute decor. Nice, large bar as well with a large variety of beer on tap. The sausage and prime rib were fabulous. The Mac n cheese was elementary cafeteria quality. Overall - the meat selection, friendly staff and atmosphere will have us return. Hope they fix the kinks though. Oh - and a stuffed sweet potato option would be super cool. Hint hint.

Expansive BBQ “campish” mess hall for tasty BBQ in Richardson. Order from the pit by the lb and work your way through the cafeteria-set up side dish display. Beef Brisket is a winner if you can get over the ambiance. Dine on the patio picnic tables for a truer restaurant experience.

SIGHT- Full scale bar set in a all wooden camp mess hall/upscale banr.
SOUND- Crowded for a Saturday afternoon.

SMELL- For once, my clothes and hair didn’t smell like smoke when I left! Made me think they reheated a lot of stuff, rather than FRESH from the smoker.

TOUCH- New establishment so fairly clean.

TASTE-
Brisket- Point to the piece you want. You can request burnt end knuckles which I think are the tastiest/juicest bits. Great bark.  Menu lists all the meat by 1/2 lb but you can order a 1/4 lb of anything.

Pulled Pork- Juicy, tender, very stringy. No presentation whats so ever.

Torpedos- Bacon Wrapped brisket or chicken jalapenos.  Menu lists out separate prices for each but you can order  a mix by the 1/4 lb.  Delicious, smokey, hot. Washed down with a cold beer they are GREAT.

Cole Slaw- Vinegar based Napa cabbage slaw. Meh.

Pickles- Complimentary…Homemade..Delicious.

Decent BBQ in Richardson! Love their brisket, ribs and sausages. They also have craft beer flights. Potato salad with bacon is most delicious. Never had a bad meal here

Good but can get pricey. My family has eaten here several times and has always been overall pleased. It takes a visit or two to figure out how much to order. I finally figured out 1/3 lb of brisket is perfect size for me. 1/2 lb if you're a big eater or want some to take home. Ask to sample! They are happy to give you generous sized samples and you can figure out what you really like before you invest. The brisket is delicious, sausage is very good, ribs are pretty good. Sides are hit and miss. The onion rings are awesome but the mac and cheese is mediocre. Potato salad and cole slaw are fine, not outstanding. Love the banana pudding. It's fun, lots of big tables for communal or large group dining. For a quieter experience with table service, I recommend Peggy Sue's in Snider Plaza.

I don't know why all these haters are hating on this BBQ! It was pretty darn good! Of course, it can't touch Angelo's BBQ in Fort Worth but I was brought up on Angelo's BBQ so that is what I consider to be my ultimate standard. Ten50 was expensive, for sure, but we WAY over ordered! Next time I am getting a 1/2 pound of brisket, a jalapeño torpedo stuffed with brisket, a cole slaw, and a beer. That will cost you about 25 with a tip. The sausage and and ribs were also pretty awesome as well as the potato salad. Don't forget to get the pickles, they are homemade and out of this world. Also they are free as well as the bread that they offer in the line. Did not like the macaroni and cheese or the onion rings. Macaroni and cheese was dry and the onion rings were way too greasy. My husband liked the fried okra. The atmosphere was fun and the service was stellar.

Surprised about the mixed reviews, this place is delicious! Excellent, welcoming service. The brisket is amazing. Jalapeño pinto beans are great. Pulled pork is very good. Ribs are good - but a little bland to me - maybe because I'm accustomed to eating those that are cooked with sauce. Speaking of sauce, the house sauce is fantastic! Potato salad and mac-n-cheese were average. Price is fair for the meat. I highly recommend!

Update: I've been back a number of times both by myself, with my wife, and friends.
We found the onion rings to be excellent as are the ribs.
Overall I rate this place behind Pecan Lodge, but equal to or slightly ahead of Lockhart BBQ.

Ten50 should be ranked with the top BBQ in Dallas. Ten 50 has been open two weeks and I got there Wednesday. Briefly (keeping in mind that I still haven't eaten at the famed Pecan Lodge) this ranks with the top DFW BBQ places.

It opens for lunch at 10:50 until the sell out of meet, and again at 5:00 until they sell out. The restaurant is at 1050 North Central Expy in Richardson, hence the name. I got there at 11:15 and there were 10-15 people in line. When I left at noon there were maybe 100-130 waiting.

Traditional BBQ lines (two of them). Warming grills hold the meet. You walk up and tell them what you want. One person cuts and the other weighs it. Be very careful or you will get more meat than you can eat.

I got brisket, moist and lean. Ribs, sausage (mild and jalapeno-cheddar), and a bacon wrapped jalapeno. At 11:15 they had already sold out of one item, and I didn't have room for the chicken or pulled pork. At dinner they also serve turkey, ribeye, and salmon.

I'm not a traditionalist in that I prefer lean brisket to moist, and I always want BBQ sauce. But I eat a little of everything without sauce first to see how the bare meat tastes. But when I bit into the ribs I could have eaten it all without sauce. The rib was excellent - barely sweet, good smokiness, and nice crust. People who don't know right from wrong tend to say "the rib meat was falling off the bone" as if this was good. What it really means is the meat is overdone and mushy. To be correct the meat should still have texture, but should come off the bone with an easy bite.

The brisket has texture without toughness and was good although I might have liked a little more flavor in the lean. But the moist brisket was my favorite ever. (Moist, or fatty, means that part of the brisket had a lot of connective fat that is rendered by the cooking so its almost liquid. And at Ten50 this was excellent.)

I had a little of both mild, and jalapeno sausages. The jalapeno was the best sausage I can remember eating.

I had enough that I skipped sides and desert, and didn't order a beer, even though they had 20+ excellent craft beers. They also had a table of 20+ hot sauces if anyone wanted them.
This is a best restaurant meal I have had all year.

I went today for the first time. I got there about 10:30 and there was a short line outside. They opened promptly at 10:50 and began serving. The brisket was delicious. It rivals other top places I have been to. The torpedoes (chicken stuffed, bacon wrapped jalepenos) were awesome. The jalepeno sausage was very good, as were the beans. I did not care for the potato salad, unfortunately. Overall it was a great experience. You are in line by the smokers and get to see the charcoal being made. I'll be back.

Since it is the 4th of July, we had to go get some BBQ. We found Ten 50 BBQ. I was surprised at how big it is. There was a lot of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. It was very unique. The meats are ordered in an outdoor covered setting. You have the privilege of seeing all of the different types of meat they have and it is hard not to order a little of each type. They have brisket, chicken, pork ribs and sausage. We ordered some of each. Then you go inside and order the sides. Some of the sides were in a buffet style of ordering. The fries and okra were a little different. The drinks were in the seating area. The sausage was fabulous. The brisket fell apart upon cutting it. I didn't care for the pork ribs perhaps they needed different spices. The chicken was good. My fries were good as was the coleslaw which has cilantro sprinkled around. I wasn't a fan of either type of BBQ sauce. One was a tomato based sauce, and the other was a vinegar based sauce. The iced tea was freshly made, so it was great. It was a little pricey. I would definitely return.

Absolutely amazing food and unique atmosphere! My husband and I got the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. Definitely the best BBQ we have ever had!! The mac n cheese and banana pudding were also the absolute best! This is a must try place! 10/10!

As a true barbecue enthusiast from North Carolina i can say this is legit, and was a good introduction to the Dallas bbq scene. The lunch line style ordering makes it a set and quick to get your food. The brisket was super tender and juicy, as well as the ribs. The pulled pork was a little lacking but everything else looked good. Great sides, really liked the potatoes salad as it was more a vinegar base. The sauces were very good too. Definitely worth it

The brisket is not tender at all but some advice, just chew it extra long. Everything else tastes delicious. Specially their banana pudding. If I’m being completely honest, this is why I come here. It doesn’t taste like the artificial banana flavored one, this one tastes like the banana pudding grandma makes from scratch. All their sides are very tasty! That’s what the 4 stars are for… Not the brisket. Very pricey for brisket that isn’t juicy and tender if you ask me.

So it was my first time here and I have to order a lot of things just to make sure I'm coming back. I'm coming back. Lol. The brisket was tender. The chicken and brisket torpedoes were delicious. The jalapeño sausage was good. The house sauce (tomato based) was amazing. The beans with brisket was great. The mac n cheese was good. The potato salad was amazing and it had a lot of ingredients. But definitely recommend. And I'm excited to go back!

Great brisket here and pulled pork is delicious. Kind of an upscale spot, pricier than Google would have you believe. Potato salad and baked beans are just OK and I wasn't impressed with the sauces to be honest. Still a good experience and a nice atmosphere.

Great ambience that incorporates a cafeteria line to get your food. Inside and outside dining. The food was delicious but be careful of the amount sides you get. It can get pretty pricey pretty quick.
