I am a picky eater so I never venture out to far but I must say, this place was DELICIOUS! So much so I thought about having it again tonight!
Date night for two with the hubby;
We ordered a bottle of Mia Rose Wine; Pretty good, it is from Spain and sweet enough for my liking!
We ordered Soup Dumplings; AMAZING!!!!!!! Literally the best thing I have had in a long time. For those of you who are like me and have no idea what half this food is- the soup dumplings have pork inside with a broth and ours were perfect!
Dinner; 1 plate of Sweet and Sour Sesame Chicken and 1 plate of Orange Chicken; I have never had such delicious crispy chicken with a nice glazed sauce such as this. Chinese takeout has nothing on this place! The portions were an entire plate worth, so much that we took some home!
Each plate comes with steamed rice and if you eat all your rice, they give you more!
So a bottle of wine, an appetizer and 2 dinner plates with unlimited rice and enough food to take home was about $56.00 total.
I have paid a lot more at a worse restaurant with mediocre food, 1 glass of wine, 1 beer and terrible service.
We will definitely be making this a favorite date night place because the food was superb!
Also- our waiter spoke pretty decent English and took the time to explain what was in each dish we asked about as best he could! I can always appreciate someone taking their time to make us feel good about eating there.

I've been going to Jeng Chi for over 20 years (since they were first just a bakery!). They have consistently been my go-to place for noodles, dumplings - and have the best Chinese eggplant dish in the metroplex. I was very pleasantly surprised by their beverage menu - I ordered an iced coffee today and it was great!
Best Chinese food joint in DFW in this one’s opinion. Everything is super clean and fresh and well prepared. Note also that their fried rice is unlike any other place’s fried rice. Used to go here when it was at the older and smaller location a few doors down. Thrilled to report that the transition to a newer bigger & place did not cause food or service to suffer one bit.
Make a meal out of the dumplings! Order the juicy beef dumplings, and the pan-fried ones. I recommend it with the ginger vinegar
This is not your typical Chinese Restaurant. The food has always been exceptional here, each and every of the four plus times we've eaten here. The staff is always courteous, polite and quick. The food is served promptly. I thoroughly enjoy and recommend Jeng Chi.
the pork and shrimp steamed dumplings are always amazing, the kung pao shrimp is spicy and delicious, their tea always is full of flavor and their desserts are to die for
This place was great. The waiter did a great job and the food was amazing. Prices were just as good. I'll definitely be back.

Fast, efficient waitstaff. Juicy dumplings are fantastic and my wife has found a new favorite restaurant for sesame chicken.....all within walking distance from our house.
Excellent service and amazing food! It as my first time there last night and they blew me away. DEFINITELY coming back. Their dumplings are so delicious. It's not Din Tai Fung, but its pretty damn close to it.

First timer & food was wonderful! I had the veggie egg roll, veggie dumplings steamed, and green tea snow ice. Will be back!

This was our first time eating here. What a find. Service was excellent, food was great, did I mention the service? I have eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants this is at the top of the list, plus you can watch the ladies make your soup dumplings while you wait. Our server made excellent recommendations and food was out fast and hot. Great experience!!!
This was an amazing experience for everyone in our party. I am a vegan and they had no problem substituting the fish sauce out of my food to keep it vegan. The people at my table are not vegan and they were very happy to try several different items on the menu. Our waitress was fantastic and very informative about the menu. They were very crowded and very busy but it never took away from our dining experience. It was not overly loud or crowded. The tables are spaced nicely to where you don’t feel cramped. I would definitely go back here!
I’ve been coming to Jeng Chi since I was a kid when they were in their original location a few doors down! This is one of the best, most authentic Chinese food restaurants you can find in the DFW area. Their juicy dumplings and green onion pancakes are unbeatable. Highly recommend for anyone who’s looking for a friendly environment, good service and some excellent Chinese dishes. Looking forward to eating here for many more years!
We really enjoyed the food here! We got the chicken dumplings, hot and sour soup, orange chicken, and garlic chicken. All the dishes were very well made! Our server was very nice and even tried to give me pointers for using chopsticks! It’s quite a drive from where we live but I’m pretty sure we will be back!
It is a must go when thinking about the soup dumplings. Jen Chi restaurant has been in Dallas for 20 + years and it’s an authentic Chinese restaurant. Reservation is highly recommended. This place is always full of people!
We visited this restaurant for the first time and ordered Juicy Steamed Dumplings, Green Onion Pancake, Shrimp Pockets, and Combination Fried Noodle. The dumplings were really juicy as you bite into them. The pancake and shrimp pockets were delicious. The combination fried noodle was good. Our waiter was fantastic from start to finish. Beautiful interior and atmosphere.

My coworker recommended this place, and she was so right; the juicy dumplings are delicious. 😍🤤 We tried the small juicy steamed dumplings and the pork and crab juicy steamed dumplings. The pork and crab was my favorite of the two, but they’re both excellent.
I like how our server Min came by and taught us the proper way to eat the juicy dumplings. I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time, lol. Min was amazing; I will always ask for her moving forward. She recommended the Shrimp Pockets for our appetizer, and they didn’t last 5 minutes! They were so hot and fresh and good with the sauce (not sure what it’s called).
I was impressed by the shrimp-fried rice. It was really good with no sauce needed! I’ve never had such good rice by itself. Usually, it’s dry, and the sauce brings it to life, but not here.
For dessert, we tried the Black Forest cake and the tiramisu. Both were tasty, but my personal favorite was the Black Forest cake. I really enjoyed the fresh strawberries that were mixed in.
Overall, I was so pleased here. 10/10 would recommend!
This place is amazing and authentic Chinese cuisine. Great for sharing with family or close friends ! The staff are friendly and the portions are big so definitely share lol.
The vegetables are fresh and the meats are DELICIOUS!
