This place has really good brisket and pulled pork and OMG, their cornbread is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s sweet, though, so if you don’t like that, it’s not for you. I had a last minute lunch request for bbq from my manager for a lunch meeting for 20, and Good Union really came through for me. Everything was ready when I needed it and nothing was missing from the large order. I definitely will go back to this place and absolutely recommend it.
Now I need to try their breakfast!
It was our 1st visit and we will be back! The chopped smoked brisket sandwich was outstanding-juicy and flavorful. Love the pickles and onions and the sauce is perfect. Also the hot link sausage was very tasty with just enough heat. The fries were crispy and had a great seasoning. The staff is so friendly and service was fast! I can't wait to go back!!

The Brisket is #1 in the area. The jalapeno cornbread that comes with the meat is off the chain. Don't question why they will give you cornbread instead of rolls with your meat like I did. I'm so glad I didn't pushed the issue of rolls with my meat instead of cornbread. I would have missed out on greatness. I have no complaints on anything. Brisket, Ribs, smoke chicken wings, potatoe salad, baked beans all very satisfying to my stomach! I'm in trouble, I will be working just to eat here! Will be back this week for sure. The smoke taste made me want to cry happy tears!
Tried the Bacon Brisket sandwich and it did not disappoint. Fast, friendly service will gave me coming back.

Great place, delicious food...and the bartenders were the best!
The entire family absolutely loved this place! This was our first time coming, and we will definitely be back.
Parking: Ample parking is readily available in front of the restaurant or in the deck right across the street. We went in the evening so it was free.
Food: We ordered several different items including ribs, a sandwich, a kids slider plate, and a couple sides of okra and onion rings. Everything was extremely tender, juicy, and fresh. My son is a self-proclaimed rib expert and raved about their spare ribs (landing as his favorite yet!). The soft-drink selection is really fun too, and is made by a company called Maineroot.
Pricing: The prices at this establishment are an incredible value. Portions are big for the price, and none of us were able to finish our food.
Atmosphere: It's a super laid back place, and a great break to everything else that seems so hectic today. Outside is the main courtyard to CityLine which was an added bonus just to the overall feeling of the restaurant and area.
All in all, we really enjoyed this place. After a day of crowds, lines, traffic, and all sorts of chaos - this is what we needed. A perfect meal at an amazing location.
I enjoyed the brisket sandwich. It was very well crafted and the brisket had a nice smoke to it. The sandwich, a side of potato salad, and drink were $16.10.
The service is lacking due to an unenthusiastic cashier and zero attention from anyone other than delivering the meal. Bear this in mind when you're tipping, which occurs upon ordering at the counter.
Clearly, a lot of thought and money have gone into making this place have a hip vibe. And the location on the square at Cityline is a plus. The food is impressive as well so all in all I recommend a visit.
This place was amazing the ribs were glazed to perfection the nanna pudding recipe is something I could eat all day. My only recommendation is that you make the cup tops fit the cups better! Otherwise it was perfect.
Update: I’ve since tried them a few times and it’s been good. The potato salad is hit or miss but in general it’s pretty good.
Old review:
So ordered 3 things. Doesn’t seem to difficult to mess up. Got home and they gave me Cole slaw instead of potato salad. This is my first impression of Good Union. Needless to say first and last time I’ll go there. If they can not get an order of potato salad right I’m concerned for food safety so I won’t be back. Edited: just went to eat the sandwich and there’s no bacon on the bacon brisket sandwich. Called for a refund no manager there!
