Chien Garsen has been around forever. It is a family owned restaurant and they know and recognize all of us who have been eating there for years. I recommend the Sachuan (sp?) beef.
Our family has been coming here since 1985. They are like family to us. The food is a Chinese with a little Korean flavor. This is a favorite among the spicy crowd . The noodles are fresh and the meat is tender. I couldn't ask for anything more.
I'm no expert on Chinese, but.... I really like Chin Garden! I have been eating here for 20+ years, and it never disappoints. While there are likely plenty of "Americanized" dishes, I know there are more authentic dishes, as I see a lot of Asian folks eating here, and I was told early on when asking about some of the more unusual items that I would not like them. LOL Well, some I don't, but some are pretty good.
I have to say my favorite dishes here are Orange Chicken and Orange Beef, with generous helpings of actual orange, not just rinds. And the egg rolls are some of my favorites too.
Atmosphere may seem a bit tired, with the old school Chinese lanterns, large 3D wall mural, embellished ceiling tiles, etc... but I find this a charming contrast to the many generic interiors, and places where you wouldn't know if your in Burger King or whatever.
Service is always great, several of the servers have been there for years. They are accommodating if you wish to modify a dish- delete onions, add broccoli, etc....
This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. Food is always excellent, garlic shrimp and traditional sweet and sour pork. Yummy, service is always excellent. Amy is wonderful. We walk in and they know what we are having.
I love this place. Their food is absolutely amazing. My husband and I eat here 2-3 times a week. Great prices and friendly staff. Seats are a little outdated, but good atmosphere.
Best All Around Chinese. The food here covers about 3 different cultures, which is very cool, because for around $10.00, you can get a fresh, hot, dinner from, Korea, or Japan, or China (and maybe a few other places) 7 days a week. We eat here about 3 times a month, particularly on "gotta work late nights" and just love the small originally decorated space, the food, and mostly, the staff. The same smiling faces have been greeting us for the past 10 years, and they try so incredibly hard to make sure everyone has an enjoyable meal. Noodle bowls, egg rolls, spring rolls, dumplings 3 different ways, duck, egg foo young, chow mien, lo mien, the list goes on & on. This the Chinese restaurant of my childhood, AND its the Chinese Restaurant for Today. All at prices you'll be pleased with.
Love this small family owned place.inexpensive and really good and fast.
I've eaten here for over 20 years-love it! Great food, great service! Highly recommended!!!
