It was truly an amazing experience. Decided to check them out for my birthday, and the fact that the hostess and the waitress knew was an extra touch. They even printed my name on the menu. Food was amazing. Served with no rush, warm, and extremely tasty. Their drinks and wine menu were also excellent. We will definitely come back.

Birthday Dinner for my Daughter and her husband. It was simply the best, from appetizers, main course of Scallops, amazing collards (southern style) delicious crème brûlée, birthday cake …not to mention Wine and Bourbon! Benjamin was our server, very attentive, gracious and answered any questions we had. Love the hotel and its grandeur, it’s a must and love going there, such a happy Birthday❤️❤️. We will be back for Thanksgiving ❤️❤️

'We had made reservations at a tea house across the street, but when we arrived, we're told they had no table for two since they had over-booked. No problem since we walked across the street to the Jefferson Hotel and were able to get a table in the lovely Lemaire Restaurant. We enjoyed delicious fried oysters, lump crab cake served over grits, sauteed spinach, and bernaise sauce. They were also serving tea at white clothed tables outside in the mezzanine that had beautiful silver settings. We will make a reservation for tea at the Jefferson Hotel next time! I

Visited here for Christmas and had a lovely time! The food and drinks were delicious and the portions were wonderful, especially considering the caliber of the food. The lamb shank was absolutely to die for. Our server, while very polite and helpful, was slow and frequently we had to ask her multiple times for refills on water, new silverware, the menu for desserts/cocktails, and our tea. Eventually we gave up on the tea and it still showed up on our bill. Not a big deal but it was a bit frustrating. However, when we reminded her she was apologetic and very friendly about removing it. Overall a great time with great food and so glad we did Christmas dinner here!

Excellent service and food. I had the Herb Roasted Rockfish and it was amazing. They let me substitute winter squash veloute instead of the bacon lardons. My meal was absolutely delicious!

Amazing experience! One of the best fine dining experiences in Richmond. The staff is extremely attentive and professional. The entrees were top notch, with the chicken and salmon being our choices for the evening. The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium and the almond crust was magnificent, and the chicken my partner got as very tender and savory. We also tried their Chocolate Delight dessert with the Cranberry sorbet, heavenly combination and one of the best desserts at a restaurant. Definitely own for special occasions!

During Christmas holiday season, they get booked up very quickly. Therefore, if you want a specific date and time, you better make a reservation months in advance, maybe even more than half a year. The restaurant is located inside the hotel on the 1st floor, right of the main entrance. The hotel is splendidly decorated during Christmas season and it makes for even more memorable experience. Besides the fabulous ambiance, befitting of an upscale restaurant, the service is impeccable. Food while delicious, well prepared and superbly competent, is not quite sublime. Maybe I am being bit too harsh here. Price is on par for an upscale restaurant but not ridiculously overpriced like some celebrity chef driven places I've been to. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth a visit for any special special occasions.

Food, service, and atmosphere were phenomenal. The drinks left a little to be desired, especially for their price point. I loved the added touches they do for Anniversaries/Birthdays. Highly recommend the Fried Deviled Eggs and Roasted Lamb Shank.

A great graduation dinner for our son. Very accommodating restaurant, personalized menu for him! Starting with strong drinks and finishing with one of the best crème brûlée desserts around! Highly recommend this place.

Stopped by over the holidays for lunch. Andrea was our server and she was was awesome.....knowledgeable, welcoming, and provided wonderful service. The cocktails and appetizers were creative and yummy. The entrees were not enjoyed as much. The crabcake was too fishy tasting and lacked lump crab. The the fettuccine with chestnuts was over powered with too much garlic. All dishes were were nicely presented and the atmosphere was relaxing.

The food is exquisite, and the servers are first-class. Our family always books a table here every time we are in Richmond, and we have always been impressed. The chefs find a way to elevate traditional dishes to a new level through their creative touches. The elegant setting in the Jefferson Hotel makes every meal a special occasion.

My wife and I dined at Lemaire last night and had the most wonderful experience. The ambiance of the Valentine is unmatched, as is the service we received from our waitress Morgan. My wife has a gluten/walnut allergy, our waitress was very understanding and informed us on which cocktails and menu items included walnuts/gluten. When dessert time came she described each dessert beautifully and we were greatly pleased with the Bread Pudding. Her professional, yet personable and pleasant attitude was by far the most remarkable we’ve seen yet! As for the food and drinks, excellent as well. From the salads to the scallops, to the bread pudding everything was plated beautifully and came out in a timely manner. Cocktails were made well and presented very nicely. From the moment we were seated to the moment we left everybody had a warm welcoming attitude. I definitely recommend everyone try this restaurant!

Lemaitre Restaurant located in the venerable Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond is a great place to go for a fine dining experience. The wait staff is attentive, knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. They have a wide selection of wines. The menu changes with the seasons. I had the grass fed beef tenderloin which was done to perfection and my partner had the brown butter scallops which she said was the best she ever had. She is a seafood lover so that was a high compliment. For dessert we had the dark chocolate delight. What a perfect meal. To end the perfect evening we walked about the hotel. That in itself is a treat. If you want to have the perfect evening this is the place to go.
