Exquisite oysters and service. This place is located at a very cosmopolitan place. Food and service got my 5 stars really quickly.

My friends and I celebrated her birthday this Saturday, and we almost passed by Cha Cha's but so glad we didn't. It was such a great time: great music and a great crowd! All the bartenders were great and Corey at the back bar was super nice and attentive despite how busy it was. Highly recommend if you love dancing and good music!

I visited Cha Cha's Cantina for lunch on a Wednesday and then dinner on the following Friday, both times receiving excellent service and fantastic food at low prices. The wait staff were very courteous and fun to interact with, during my visit for dinner we were actually waited on by the bar tender who managed to provide great service while also making drinks for other patrons. The meal provided on each occasion was prepared quickly and had fantastic presentation. The bottomless chips are delicious and the happy hour drinks are perfectly priced! It seems that most negative reviews about this location are from people who go after 10 or 11pm and are unhappy with the night life/club atmosphere. As far as I'm concerned, the restaurant side of the business is one of the best places to get food in Richmond at extremely reasonable prices for great portion sizes.

Service is good and the food is good. Their daily lunch specials are good. Portion sizes are just right for a guy that likes to eat. Environment is nice, you can sit inside or outside. Parking is tough, you have to park in a lot and walk to the restaurant. I have eaten their tacos, quesadillas and burrito in a bowl and all have been very good.

I have to give this place five stars for its service! My friends and I came in on a crowded night where we had to wait a while for our drinks. Until Santiago waved us over to another part of the bar, where he took our order. He'd crack a few jokes and show off his bartending skills. He made it fun to watch and to converse. Definitely gave us a good start to a fun night! The music was great too, made it hard to leave as each song that came on was one we liked, couldn't stop dancing!

They have really stepped it up with the food lately. Had the brisket tacos with fried onions and quacamole. Only $7 during happy hour and they were out of this world. I agree with others saying they’re trying to make the menu more upscale. Fortunately, the prices don’t seem to reflect that

As long as you're not a d*ck or causing a scene (or a dude trying to dance on the main stage section, in the back), you shouldn't have any problems. Ever since Cha's merged with Society - now the Agave Lounge - partying here has been a blast. Definitely the "clubbiest" atmosphere in Downtown Richmond. Also, see Josh on the bar. That boy is a liquor-slinging virtuoso.

Food was well presented with a good mix of menu choices. My wife loved the buffalo chicken wrap. Brittany was perfect with her service and attitude. I nicked a star only for the condition the bath room.

Regardless of the previous ratings, coming into this spot as a newcomer has left me coming for more. A co-worker has turned me onto Cha Cha's for lunch one day and I have been frequenting ever since. During the week they have specials all day depending on the item and the day. I've been going every Wednesday almost just for $2 off quesadillas and boy, these quesadillas are no joke. Great food, great price, and staff have been very nice. Definitely give this place a shot during lunch.

Been here a couple of times only on Saturday nights. Never had a problem going by myself or with a group. There's no cover, very short line to get in, drinks are average price $10-12 for mixed drinks, and the music is on point (hip hop/rap) There are 2 rooms with different music playing (both hip hop), plenty of bars and bartenders, and a patio to chill and smoke. As for the crowd, its a college crowd so everyone is under 27. And the ratio is good. Its never overrun by guys. And dress code isn't too strict. I've seen guys with t-shirts and J's. But also guys with button ups , jeans, and dress shoes. I've never had a problem with security, but I have seen other ppl get kicked out. Overall cha chas is a good spot in RVA. Its my go to bar for the weekend.

We were here tonight for dinner, despite only seeing 3 stars on google reviews which usually means that a place isn't that great, but it could not be more inaccurate! I love the fact that you seat yourself upon which we were immediately greeted by the friendly bartender, who also was our server. They always made sure we had enough chips/dip at the table, which btw is free and comes with a really good house made salsa. The queso dip wasn't the usual mayonnaise concoction you get at a lot of mexican places but actual cheese dip. Service isn't overbearing or overly fake friendly and always promptly refilled our drinks. Our food orders were really good and we will definitely frequent this place in the future! 4-9 PM is happy hour with $4 margaritas

Great place. Stopped for lunch and had awesome Quesadillas. Parking right across the street. The fried plantains with the green sauce was good too. Pleasant surprise - visiting from New Jersey and this place beat all expectations for Mexican food ( We have some awesome places in NYC , I mention this as a point of reference)
