I really, really liked the setup for this place. The food was delicious and the staff was quite attentive to my table. It's a bit more upscale in terms of price, though, and the higher price doesn't translate to larger portion sizes (don't be surprised if your dessert is a lot smaller than you think). That being said, this would be an excellent place for a date or even a large group outing. I intend to go here again in the future!
I have dined here three times since it opened. Most recently last week. Beautiful space, free parking (a BIG deal in Ridgewood) and not only excellent food but unique. The service is very good but not quite 5 star worthy.
I want to drop a quick note on our visit to Novo last evening. It was a really enjoyable dining experience. We were treated to a great service, and the food was exceptional.
With his clever use of various spices and herbs, the chef took us on an amusing journey.
He also came to our table and brought us samples of the duck bisteeya that was a delight for the mouth.
Novo is definitely a place to go for foodies and a great addition to Ridgewood's dining scene.
