Village Tea Shop doesn't just sell tea, it is all about tea. May's and Yu's commitment to the rich, varied world of tea - and their vast knowledge of it - is nothing short of inspiring.

Fantastic shop run by great people. Eugene and May are always friendly and willing to talk about tea with you. I spent about an hour today talking and tasting tea with Eugene. The selection is just as wide as the tea shops in NYC without the high prices. They also serve reasonably priced (we're talking less than 7-Eleven) freshly prepared sandwiches and custom shakes and smoothies. If I worked in or around Ridgewood, this would be my lunch hangout. The Popeye Peanut Butter protein shake I sampled today was fantastic. I usually stop in after getting my haircut next door at The Maple Barber Shop, but I think I won't wait that long to go back next time.
