From the time I entered The Historic Mission Inn Hotel and reveled in the magnificent lobby scenery then turned and made a bee-line to four diamond and Dirona awarded Duane's (owner is Duane Roberts) it was magical.
Seated by Juliette and service by Richard, Roger and John. Service was top notch. Candlelight dinner was intriguing and many discussions imparting erudition occurred. Notice the "Rough Riders" artwork which beckons patrons inside for Golden Bacchus awarded wine.
Steak was Wet-Aged USDS and reported to be superb. Since 1876 patrons have been dining here, there is a reason why. Reserve, dine and experience Duane's for fine dining and decor suitable for royalty.
I've been going to the Mission Inn for so long growing up in this city. But, not until I was an adult to afford to go to Duane's. Always try to go for special occasions. Last time I was there was for our 10y wedding anniversary. They made our meal very special and really took care of us. Everything tasted fantastic. Service was beyond spot-on. Scenery there is nice.
My only gripe is that is smells like cigars/pipe-major turnoff when I'm trying to eat.
This was good, had Duane's for room service at the Mission. I was a little surprised that my salad came with no dressing & they went a little overboard on the pepper & blue cheese on my steak. But overall, not bad.
Duane's is a great place to go for a special occasion and the food is excellent.
