Ordered through a delivery service last week and the food was delicious. The pork chops were seasoned well, juicy and tender. The dinner included mashed potatoes with gravy and collard greens that were amazing. I don't usually eat cooked greens from any restaurant but they came with my dinner so
Shrimp and grits dish was okay, but very salty. Fried oysters salad was nothing to write home about. Crab cakes dish at $20 a plate was bad. It had consisted of about 80% of soggy bread crumbs. The space is good and can be developed into a very nice cajun restaurant.
We visited during Roanoke Restaurant Week, and had a very good experience here. The Bourbon Glazed Salmon was delicious, as were the cheese mashed potatoes. Authentic food. Delicious mains with excellent appetizers. Had the crab beignet with a shrimp Po boy and jambalaya. Can't be beat! Live music was a plus too
My meal was good, he were my husband's not so much. It's crazy to only get 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 oysters with your oil saturated fish and make that meal the same price as scallops, which was one of the highest priced meals. 1st time customer. Great spot near the city center and railroad. Welcoming atmosphere. Great for date night. I’m picky about my gumbo, so it kind of missed the mark, but the drinks and excellent service made up for it.
