Very happy I gave this place a chance. The bartender was on her A game, serving the entire dining room by herself yet the service was unmatched. Beautiful restaurant with nice music and a great ambiance, as well as some very clean restrooms. I ordered the Texan burger and it was one of the best I’ve ever had, their cheesy potatoes are also worth a try. I look forward to returning to this location.
Great food and service. Local beer selection. Wine and cocktails. Great crabcake sandwich and burger for lunch. Try the frickles! Outside dining available though street scenery is currently drab but inside is low lit and groovy!
Sat at the bar solo for dinner. Great service from everyone at the front, at the bar, and I loved the view from the bar of the owners personally preparing each dish to perfection in the kitchen. A cup of French onion soup and parmesan garlic fried chicken sandwich with hand cut fries was probably enough for two. Washed down with two local IPAs. This place checks all of the right boxes: great food, local selections, genuinely happy staff, and an unpretentious yet refined atmosphere.
My first time here. There was a small order mistake with my plate, but I don't care, we are all human beings. The French onion soup as an appetizer was delicious and so savory. I got the classic burger, it was cooked as ordered, tasted good, nice and juicy like a good burger should be. My date got the honey glazed salmon and boy I wish I ordered that because it tasted amazing!! Presentation was good. Flavor on point. The price point was a bit high for what was being offered on the menu. But overall, good experience. I will be coming back!! Thanks!
Great downtown location, excellent food, small but nice outside dining with propane heaters, and friendly wait staff. We waited awhile for our food due to being short staffed but the salmon was worth the wait!
Stopped in Roanoke on our way back to Ohio from Georgia, found this restaurant via Google. Very large, varied menu. Charming place, friendly & efficient service, nice choice of libations. All 4 of us LOVED our meals -- some had sandwiches, some a traditional main course. Chef has culinary degree from Johnson & Whales & it shows ! Highly recommend !
2nd time going there the food, service and atmosphere is top notch the bourbon glazed salmon was out of this world the potatoes under were probably the greatest thing in the world.the bacon gave it the perfect amount of salt crispy outside soft inside salmon cooked to perfection.i wont even talk about the fried fickles because there are no words to explain. The wife had the chicken picatta was perfect all good size portions the wait staff very friendly and attentive.in my opinion one of the best places to eat in Roanoke.only thing that i think they need to expand on is the bourbon selection atleast i can drink Woodford while im there JOB WELL DONE
