By far, the BEST buffet! Especially if your vegan! And a vegan menu! Also many choices for omnis! The best part , though, the owners actually come out and make sure you’re satisfied. You are treated as family by all of the staff. I’ve never experienced a place like this! I WILL be back.....frequently!

Highly, highly recommend! Awesome food, great service, and a perfect choice for all sorts of dietary needs! (I am gluten free and my husband is vegan, which can be really limiting. At Amaya, there are so many options that we are constantly trying new things!) Even took some skeptics with us to dinner, everyone loved it.

I stumbled upon the restaurant in passing. Liked the name, seemed to have an inviting feel from the outside so my wife decided to go in and pickup a menu. She came out and joined by some wonderful smells. We decided to skip the chores and grab a bite. Had a great time, the staff was friendly and attentive, the food was bright, light and quickly devoured, wine was tasty and complimented the meal well. My 4 year old even enjoyed it and if you know how picky kids can be with new foods you know that's saying a mouthful. Great time, Will definitely be returning.

I travel for work and will often order out from GrubHub, and I happened on an Indian restaurant, and was absolutely blown away by the quality of their food. I ordered the Murgh Ke Tukre and Grilled White Fish, as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist I like Indian food, but often find that take-out "American" Indian food is very sauce heavy, salty, fatty, and fried. However at Amaya I revived incredibly fresh, hot, and flavorful dishes, I probably would have been safe even ordering heavier more well known dishes (Tikka, Vindaloo, Tandoori, Marsala, etc.) without them being "Americanized". I called the manager who was the nephew of the owner, and learned that they strive for Authentic dishes. If I am ever in the area again this will be my go to place to eat.

Went for dinner with a Groupon because it was a good deal - what a wonderful bonus surprise! I had the Tandoori shrimp, which was the best I've ever had! I will definately be back for the Wednesday buffet to try more.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! The guy who was our server was funny, and ensured we got everything we needed. This was my first time here and will be returning. My friend talked up their fried okra, but they ran out. I will have to make sure to go back and try them when they have it. If you've never been, and enjoy Indian food...this is the place for you!

I think this place has changed owners since some of the less favorable reviews. We get takeout here often and it’s always good. We’ve done a fairly comprehensive tasting of samosas in the Rochester area and Amaya has the best

This restaurant is THE gem of Indian cuisine in Rochester. My wife and I have been dining here frequently for the past year and there is just no competition for this place. It was recommended to us by several respected members of the Indian community and it has surpassed our expectations every time. The service is attentive and caring. If you have any question or issue with any menu item, just ask for Ramnish. He will ensure you have an wonderful experience. We've ordered half the items on the menu and the quality and consistency of the food never disappoint. The samosas and momo are delicious and perfectly executed. Their baby lamb chops are the best we've ever had. The chicken Daab is exquisite and the salmon tandoori is so good it should probably be ilegal! The curried goat was lovely and pretty much anything you get from their tandoori section of the menu is divine. Someone said there was an issue with the billing on the POS, but when I asked Ramnish, he said he was aware and showed me the new POS system they just started using precisely to remedy this complaint. Best Indian cuisine in Rochester. Wonderful service and attention to detail from a family owned and operated gem.

One of the best place to have authentic Indian food. Love the Ambience of the place. The food is amazing here. You have a lot of options available and they do prepare the dishes according to your taste. The meal is served hot and fresh. I opted for a non vegetarian thali which was tummy filling. It was heavenly. Loved the crispy hot naan. Probably one of the best naans I have ever had. The chicken was good too. The service is pretty good and it's easy to locate. Items in the non veg thali were samosa with green and sweet chutney, mix veg, chicken gravy, halwa, chicken biryani with raita and naan.

The best Indian restaurant in Rochester. Always enjoy their food and hospitality. Very good people. This is the only restaurant in ROC where I either eat out or order from regularly. The food reminds me of my maternal grandmother's home cooked food back in India.

This time during our stay in Rochester we tried Amaya Indian Cuisine as it was located near our stay. We had ordered through Ramnish Prabhakar the dinner course which consist of Tandoori Roti, Murg Makhani ( Butter Chicken) & Chicken Biryani. The taste was awesome and no words to express. We also ordered the same menu next day for Lunch as a parcel and took home for our dear ones. Ramnish & his wife Reema ( Chef ) are really excellent.

December 2022: I have started meal (tiffin) services from them. They make healthy and affordable meals. The nutrition content is good. Old: I was there for Saturday's South Indian thali special. The taste is fantastic and the variety too. The price is ~$15. The hostess is excellent and warm-hearted. Please go and try the Saturday breakfast special.
