We showed up later in the evening but we were taken care of very promptly. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great, so much history to look at and read about! But the best part of the experience was by far the food. We ordered the muscles, the NY strip fire chief style and the bone in pork chop. My wife and I were absolutely taken back by the quality and most of all the flavor! We will definitely be back!!!

My daughter and I take the roughly 2 hour drive to Rochester about once a year, this is our go-to for lunch. The structure itself is beautiful, the decor is all historic. The food is always delicious and service is quick and friendly!

The parking lot was full so we needed to park on the street but it wasn't too far. We also didn't have a reservation but only needed to wait 5ish minutes. The wait staff was welcoming and helpful. Food was pretty good. We started with the firecracker shrimp, it was pretty good but not memorable. My girlfriend loved the ribs and thought the sweet potato wedges were the best she had ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was good but I needed to order more sauce and they charged me for it. Over all pretty good šŸ‘šŸ¼

We had a group of 12 that met at Hose 22 Firehouse Grill. We ordered a wide variety of items from the menu. The staff did a wonderful job serving and preparing the meals. The portion sizes we great and the food was delicious. The restaurant has a few rooms upstairs for special events and a pub downstairs too.

This unique restored 1916 Firehouse is the best example of a converted fire station turned restaurant weā€™ve been to thus far, and Iā€™ve been to several. The food was really amazing too. We started with the nachos and had their jalapeƱo popper dip added and let me tell youā€¦.those nachos were incredible! Huge portion, we ended up filling up on those and didnā€™t have room for our entrees. Good news is that even leftover the entrees were excellent. My husband devoured the White Florentine pizza and the stuffed mushrooms were good too. I will caution that the garlic mashed potatoes are super garlicky. Service was great. Pricing is a little on the high side; be prepared to spend at least $20 for an entree, even if itā€™s Mac n cheese.

Very good food but the drinks are mediocre. They took a few things of the menu like the ribeye and stuffed mushrooms, but there's plenty of other meal choices. The mixed drinks need some help because they taste very weak and mostly ice. The rum drink my wife had tasted like the rum was spoiled, very odd. Everything is a little expensive but I guess it's worth a try if you're in the area. Can be slow service during busy hours.

My husband and I had such a nice dinner last night. They have a great beer selection including some local breweries and itā€™s ice cold. French onion soup is full of flavor with a good portion of bread and cheese on top. The mussels have such a yummy broth I could have easily made a meal of that and the cheddar toast it comes with. Lastly, we tried the sesame-chili-garlic chicken wings. Iā€™m not sure what they coat them with before frying, but they were so crispy and when paired with that sauceā€¦. just good food. To top it off, they have a comfortable atmosphere with lots of neat vintage firehouse decor. Great service as well. We will be coming back for sure.

Pretty good 6 out of 7 of us were thrilled. I had the idea to go with homemade ravioli.. they were over cooked to a tough around the edges.. they were done in center. What small amount I got was good. I was looking forward to fresh veggies but the were diced and smothered with sauce that was too sweet so no real flavor of the veggies. Spinach was fresh so that saved me from having too much of the sugary sauce. Calamari was great! Stuffed pasta appetizer was nice as well. I ought to have had fish.. looked good.. Ribs & Mac and cheese were a hit with everyone as well. I will go back with my group.

Busy upon arrival, primetime on a Friday, however was able to be seated immediately. Menu was extensive, offering a varied array of dishes. Being Friday in Rochester, a fish fry was to be had. The other entree we had was their grilled special of the evening, a swordfish steak. Everything was fantastic. Our server was particularly detailed oriented. He had noticed I put my leftover squeezed lemons in my soda, so when he brought a refill, he added a fresh lemon wedge for me. Details are everything. The food and ambiance of the old firehouse was impeccable. Everything was thoroughly enjoyed. A return trip is a must to try the other items that looked and sounded great. Lots of beers and drinks to choose from. Highly recommended.

First time at Hose 22! The food was very good and service was okay. Pretty pricey for food and drinks, but will definitely return to try the dinner menu. They had interesting rules regarding ā€œhappy hour.ā€ You couldnā€™t order the discounted drinks at your table with your meal. We had to walk up to the bar and order separately for the discounted price. The waitress and bartender were fine, not very friendly or helpful. We had a good experience with the food, though!

1st time going there and absolutely loved it!! We went for burgers for lunch, best burger I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back for dinner. Staff was awesome and Frozen Peach Bellini was delicious! Came back for dinner 2/16 for our daughter's 24th birthday! Great move! Our food was amazing and so was our waitress Monica M. She made this Birthday dinner special. Thank you!

This restaurant is very cool. The interior design is unique and a vision come to life! The are firefighters tools on the walls and boots on the floor. It feels like community in here. Our server was very nice and attentive. This is a great place to bring family for dinner or to stop in later and grab a drink. My favorite thing was the elote dip appetizer, I would like to bottle it and drink it! The menu options are modern, regular Rochester fare and some unexpected items as well. I gave a 4 star because the rice that came with my salmon tasted like uncle Ben's instant rice with no seasoning, the vegetables were cut cool and modern but again lack luster. The salmon was well cooked and flavorful. Overall it was a good restaurant and based on the reviews I'll be back to try the fish fry.

Hose 22 in Charlotte, NY is a top-notch dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a beautifully restored historical building and cozy lighting. The service is impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The food is delicious, with exceptional flavors and presentation. The beer and wine options are extensive, featuring the best local breweries and wineries. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and service. Overall, Hose 22 is a must-try restaurant for anyone visiting Charlotte

We found this place through online reviews and decided to give it a try after touring the Eastman museum. Itā€™s a refurbished firehouse that had burned years ago. Lots of old firefighting artifacts are preserved as well as the firehouse interior. They billed their ribs as fall off the bone and they do, as well as being delicious. The dual crab cakes were large and tasty. The sides and salads were good too. Service was prompt and professional. Drinks were good as well showing that the bartender was skilled. And the price was fair as well. We arrived on the early side, say 5PM, and the lot and place was empty, but by the time we left around 6:30 it was rocking. Glad we got there early! And itā€™s very family friendly ā€¦ bring the kids and grandkids! Whatā€™s not to like? Nothing. Go there.

Food was great! But we had to wait for 1 hr and 10 minute to get pizza and a burger. And we asked for extra sauce and didn't get it til we were ready to leave. Nice atmosphere but wait time was a little much.
