We have been going to George's for several months for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is very clean and well managed with friendly wait staff. The food is well prepared and comes out hot. Issues, if any, are addressed immediately. My wife and I drive 12 - 15 just to come here for a quick wholesome bite to eat. We enjoy it and have become friendly with the staff.

My mother and I were exploring the neighborhood around dinner time and stumbled upon this little gem. From the exterior's look and feel I thought it would be a dark, tiny place but when we walked in it was very bright and spacious. The typical decor of a Greek diner was present, and from the size and setup I could imagine the place can be rented out for various parties and events. There was a dance floor (complete with disco ball) which could easily be uncovered by moving some furniture aside. It was very comfortable, and there were quite a few old timers already dining, which tells me the food must be pretty good;0p Mom and I both got coffee, hers regular and mine decaf, and when she mentioned the coffee's temp was less than hot, our server offered to make a new pot (and promptly did). We had very good service throughout our entire visit, and I could also tell the other server was great with her tables as well.
For dinner I ordered the gyros under the pitas menu heading, and it came with fries and a dill pickle. My food was satisfying, my pickle was crisp and the fries were hot, crispy, and delicious! There was room for improvement as far as the tzatziki sauce was concerned. It reminded me more of sour cream with pickle bits stirred in rather than tzatziki sauce, but it still helped cut the slightly over salty taste of the gyro meat.
My mother order the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side, and ranch dressing for her accompanying salad. The server explained that the meal is usually layered so she made sure my mothers meal came out all separated as requested. Mom's salad included lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, and croutons, all which were fresh and healthy looking aside from a few pieces of the lettuce. Her breaded fried chicken looked amazingly crispy and was very moist. She would have preferred the breading to be more flavorful, and I agreed it could have used some seasoning, but I think if the dish was plated the usual way the gravy would've made up for the chicken's lack. My mother did rave about the gravy, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
There were some interesting dessert options listed on the dessert menu, which means mom and I will definitely be back for another good meal and be sure to save room for dessert this time!
Good local place for Penfield folks - we go once a month
Deceiving from the outside (looks small and dark but is actually really spacious and bright) personally I like the salads and gyros, good breakfast and diner food.

I had breakfast for dinner today at George's. The inside is very open and it was clean and presentable. The staff was polite and attentive. Food was as good as any other dinner, but what my wife and I had was on the mark, and a little better than expected. I say to give it a try. B+

Very quaint and quiet place at the corner of the plaza. Great atmosphere, great people, great service, and good food. Probably one of the best carrot cakes definitely best carrot cake I’ve ever had.
The food was excellent, and there is a ton of seating and a lot of big tables. It's a great place to go when you know there will be a wait at other small diners
Definitely didn’t expect the interior to be as big as it was from the outside. Love places like this. Food was delicious. I got a California Benedict. I enjoyed it very much. Service was great.
Absolutely great service! Best coffee I've ever had at a diner, freshly ground and brewed. Service was top notch and food was tasty and well done. Bacon was just a little crispy and a little chewy.. just the way I like it.
I had the chicken fried steak and it was pretty good, the grave was used sparingly as im used to the steak drowning in gravy, this place seem to only use one ladle so there's not much for dipping toast.
The best diner I've eaten at in Rochester. I've gone twice and gotten the meat lovers 3 egg omelette both times, genuinely the best Breakfast dish in sit-down restaurant history. The service is always fantastic, it always looks clean, and the menu is large, but not oversized. Cannot recommend it enough!
George's was able to accommodate our large party of 5 adults and 4 kids from 18mo to 7yr on short notice on a busy Sunday morning. Food was fantastic, service was amazing, and value for the money was perfect. Will definitely be going there again soon. Try the eggs Benedict!
Huge menu, comfort food and everything else in between. Friendly staff and good service. Nice atmosphere and a good place to bring the family. It is very large, but not noisy.
Pretty good service. Food was excellent. Only drawback is that they play the music too loudly in the restaurant. Why is there music on anyway?

A nice little cafe' with great service. The food was a bit pricey for the meal we received. I had Western Omelette and it had little flavor. The ham, onions and peppers were cut in miniscule pieces. I have had better.
Ordered country club omelette..was awesome! Turkey, tomatoes, bacon and hollandaise sauce all over..yum, great service, place is big and clean, all staff dressed in nice uniforms, all around great experience:)
Great place, our waitress was awesome! Food was very good. Patrons a little noisy during breakfast rush.
Sometimes food comes cold not often but waitress Val is great and makes everything on time the best she can .
