The food was amazing. The plantains were a sweet start to the meal, followed by perfectly fried chicken; soft, moist, with a delightful crunch to the breading. The Waakye was a lovely blend of rice, beans, spices, and a choice of tender meats. I sprang for the goat, and was not disappointed. It was
A really nice an authentic restaurant. The portions are large. Be sure to ask for recommendations on what to order. There is a separate menu for lunch, dinner, and weekends. There seems to be more choices on the weekends. Try to go easy on the spicy level, about a 5 should be good for most people. T
What a wonderful surprise to find a West African restaurant here in Rochester NY!! Delicious food, wonderful service, great chef! This is as authentic as can be. I was taken right back to the West African coast with one bite of that delicious Jollof. Thank you for the wonderful delicious meal.
Great small African restaurant, focused on dishes from Ghana. The jollof rice came with perfectly fried chicken, briefly stewed and served over flavorful rice with more froye tomato stew. The chicken still had bits of crunch, despite being well sauced and flavorful. Service was prompt and very helpf
I have been waiting years for a Ghanaian restaurant to open in Rochester. I loved the food and the owner is really nice. The portions are large and the food is tasty. I'm partial to my mother's cooking of Ghanaian food but he does a great job of coming close. I will definitely go back!
OMG, don't even know how to describethe food. Got lunch there yesterday, and will get dinner there for the family tonight. Actually lunch was enough food for lunch, dinner and a late snack, since I was working late. It was just black eyed peas and fried plantains. The beans were so subtly flavored,
Good food, cultural experience and feeling like in a home that is. It even yours, in one same place!
Phenomenal meal. Generous portions with very reasonable prices. Some of the best service I’ve ever had here. Super friendly owners. The chicken was juicy and tender with a crunchy batter, the tomato stew over top is incredible. Definitely check it out, you won’t regret it!
They have wakanda juice, but sadly it is limited. But overall it was good. Definitely gonna try again 😄
Great taste! Highly recommend the jollof rice. Ask the friendly owner for more dish recommendations! I had never tried Ghanaian food before. As a person who loves Indian food, I really liked the aromatic and flavorful food preparation at this place.
