Above average for a chain restaurant. The food was acceptable but nothing outstanding. Service was okay. The server was at least friendly. I just don't like the commercial feel of some chains and this is one.
We ate dinner here because our BBQ got rained out lol. I usually eat breakfast at Village Inn but I had a club sandwich with fries and it was outstanding. My nephew had a cheeseburger and said it's the best in town. Our waitress was new but was on the ball. Conscientious, courteous, efficient, friendly. What else could you want? I usually get a slice of pie here but I was too full.
This may be a little biased since my sister works there, but our waitress (who was NOT my sister) was very good, friendly and patient with my parents especially since they don't speak English very well. The atmosphere of the place could use some work as some of the booth seats had tears that were covered with duct tape. My only real gripe was the slice of peanut butter cup pie I ordered; they changed the recipe and it wasn't as good as from the last time I had it.
Good simple diner breakfast, my eggs were cooked perfectly for how I ordered them. Short staffed for a busy Sunday morning, so a long wait for our food but our server Tasha was friendly and everyone else seemed to be working as fast as they could. Updated decor, clean.
Had excellent service from the smiling friendly waitress and food was very good. Kitchen was rather slow getting orders out considering there were only three tables when we placed our order.

This was my first time visiting this particular Village Inn. We went there for brunch on a Sunday and it was quite busy, but we were able to get a table right away. Our server was very nice, but not the most attentive person. He kept forgetting to bring my tea and silverware. I ordered a vegetarian omelette skillet, which was delicious and completely a comfort food, but not necessarily healthy. At the end, we got their peanut butter pie, didn’t taste bad, but wasn’t fresh either. I wouldn’t mind coming back since the place wasn’t bad and there aren’t many brunch options in the town.
Excellent restaurant! Helpful staff! I've Eaten at all the chain restaurants in town several times. As far as consistency of quality of food and service this restaurant is the best in town. Service is friendly,fast and food is hot and prepared as described. The restaurant is a bit run down but that's not a big deal. Fancy means nothing if the food sucks. Lol here The food is very good!
Had a very satisfying Saturday morning breakfast and the waitress was extremely polite courteous and accommodating I would highly recommend them
We have dined here a few times and it's always been consistently good. Recently, we had breakfast here on a morning after a snowstorm that had closed I-80 from Rock Springs Eastbound, which left a lot of people scrambling for hotel rooms and places to eat. As a result, Village Inn was a little busier than they had probably bargained for, which slowed down delivery of our food, but Vanessa, our server, remained friendly and efficient. Once our food arrived, it was piping hot and hit the spot. Hey, I made a rhyme!
Rock Springs has a lot of independent and chain restaurants, so not sure when/if we'll be back, but we wouldn't have a problem dining at Village Inn again.
A "Must-Go-To" place to eat. From the moment I entered, I was immediately greeted by several staff members. No waiting -- I was instantly seated by waitress (named Anel, short, petite, enthusiastic personality). Ordered the Big Country Skillet with a side of pancakes. My order was ready within 10-12 mins...The meal was sooo scrumptious. You gotta try it. Since i visited on a Wednesday -- it happened to be Free Pie day -- so i got a free slice of pie -- and they had several varieties to choose from. Wait staff stayed attentive to me and were super friendly, yet natural. Clean atmosphere, free wi-fi, very good fresh food and an incredibly friendly staff. 5 STARS. If you visit - tell Anel you saw an awesome review about her outstanding service she provided.
Awesome food and service was good too. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will be able to go back before I leave town
The service was good but they really needed more help. It was very busy and only had one waitress and a busboy. So it was very slow in ordering. We were traveling, and it did slow down our trip.
We came with a party of 12, which can sometimes be a challenge. They accommodated us without skipping a beat.
Our server was amazing, very friendly, made sure everyone had full drinks and everything they needed. Was very impressed by wish I would've gotten her name!
