I have been coming to Rocky's for 30 some years, I grew up eating ice cream here and now I bring my kids!! The best ice cream around!!! There is always long lines because they have the best ice cream and its worth the wait!! I have the best memories coming here as a kid and a adult!! You must try them!!
I've been going to Rocky's since I was a child. Great place for ice cream & nicely located in walking distance of all the Rockford boutiques. I must admit: Cake Batter is still my favorite ice cream flavor, when I visit

Ice cream was good and you get a good amount. It seemed reasonably priced. My only complaint is that they need a bigger/better menu option. It was our first time there and the menu was very small on the side of the building and you had to get out of line to read it - made it very hard to really see options while waiting in line
Walk up with your pup to the service counter, get ice cream for yourself and a doggy sundae.
It was amazing! Super quick service, even though there were quite a bit of people around. Reasonably priced for the party size we had, as well. Absolutely delicious, and plenty of flavors to choose from.
Rocky's has been around for a while now. Love going here. Small Town, ice cream shop feel. Good selection, nice staff and fair prices.

My Wife and I are regulars. We like this place over the 4 other local ice cream/ frozen yogurt places in the area. Rocky's has good options for dairy free customers as well. They have doggy cups for $2 (pretty cheap).
My wife and I loved their options, especially the specialty sundaes. We got almond joy and raspberry sundaes. The former was great but the latter was a little too sweet. Definitely recommend whenever you are in downtown Rockford. It's not as close to the riverfront as Custard by the Dam, but its worth the short walk.
Rock's has a great selection of cold treats. I love taking my kids there, and the environment that it is in. I am a big fan of the icebergs, even if my kids tell me I am playing it safe. I am told by them the flurries is the way to go, or the dark chocolate dipped waffle cone. What every your cold sweet tooth desires, Rocky's should have it. You can sit at the tables that they provide, or it is a short walk from the park.
Great icecream both hard and softserve. Lots of options from malts, shakes, flurries, sundaes and cones. Being the 1st real nice day of May we waited in a socially distanced line for awhile but the quality was worth the wait. There is no indoor seating. This is just a walk up window dairy. I gave 4 stars for this reason. It would be nice to have picnic tables or other outdoor seating available.
There was quite a line on a hot muggy Sunday night but the service was efficient and quick. The cool part is that you have a choice of two different brands of ice cream. You're not limited to one. You can have Mooville, which has a variety of great flavors or you can have the tried and true hudsonville ice cream. It's really really hard to go wrong here
Love Rocky's. Friendly employees and good value. Lots of tasty options, too. My only real criticism is that serving size will vary mightily by employee. There was an evening we ordered a medium and a large flurry. They were prepared by separate employees and the medium was the larger serving.

Service was great but the malt was fantastic. I haven't had 1 in alot of years. Splash of Carmel and it was great. I'll be back for another 1 very soon.

Rock's is a tiny, walk up, ice cream shop just a "stone's throw" from the center of downtown Rockford. They have "Homemade" and "Hudsonville" brands of ice cream as well as soft serve. There isn't much seating, just one table and a couple benches but most people like to get their treat and then stroll down to the river. It's a favorite for the locals so you're likely to see someone you know if you live there. The menu is limited to ice cream and slushy drinks so don't plan on having a meal there, but if you're looking for a cold treat, this is a great place to go on a hot summer day in Rockford!
